Inspired by southern comfort and rustic weathered looks, this LA showroom houses refurbished and original custom furniture and accessories.

Our mission is to provide a space where local craftsmen and artists can showcase their work and to provide our customers with quality furniture and accessories that can be passed down from generation to generation.

History

Established in 2013.

Shopping mostly at local furniture stores and boutiques, owners Tommy and Allison Ritter found it uncommon to find furniture that was durable, well constructed, unique, and affordable. It seemed like most of the furniture available was imported and just wasn’t built well — not to mention the cookie-​cutter design.

Having grown up working with his dad in construction in Virginia, Tommy knew he could do better than what he was finding on the market, so he started building. As their design eye developed and love for great furniture and accessories grew, Allison & Tommy kept finding local craftsmen and artist that were limited as to where they could showcase and/​or sell their work (including Tommy’s).

The warehouse meets rustic aesthetic matched with the family-​oriented ambiance makes The Wood Shop LA California’s première shop of its kind and a nod to local Angelenos.
