The Workshop Spot is conveniently located in North Hollywood off the I-​170 and near the 101 and 134 freeways in the same location as its predecessor, Dominion Entertainment. Although The Workshop Spot has a different look and feel, it continues to serve a community of actors by providing educational casting director workshops in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Business Owner

Sarah Nicklin and Angela Relucio are good friends from the East Coast. Both are now L.A. based actors who understand the value in learning from working industry professionals; and who find importance in actors focusing their energy into career growth as well as their growth as human beings in this world! That being said, they are also cool ladies who like good food, good company, and have a love of animals, nature, and enriching experiences.

Best workshop ever. All the usual suspects, plus some I haven’t met. Centrally located, well organized, talented and professional readers. Appointment system is the best in town; you can make your reading appointment when you book, so if you’re unable to make the traditional Q and A you can still meet the CD. Highly recommend.

By far the best workshop spot in town. Comfy and cozy feel that puts everyone (including the CD’s) in a good mood, a candy bar at the front, and small class sizes. I love everything about this place and have been called in more from workshops here than from any other place I have been to.

There are 3 things which make the Workshop Spot stand out and above most of the other workshop places I’ve been to: The specific appointment times and attention to the length of the Q&A and each person’s one-​on-​one, so your time is well respected; the cost which is typically at least $ 15 to $ 20 cheaper than other place; and the friendliness and kindness of the staff who really create a positive, warm atmosphere during a nerve-​inducing situation. Really worth the money!

This is the cheapest and most realistic setting of how auditions work. The guests are great as well, I saw guests from the office that casts BONES and the casting director gave great feedback and spent time on an evaluation sheet after as well

Found this place because of its amazing prices and great deals. They beat out everyone else in LA and really bring in amazing CDs at the best possible price. Its nice to see a workshop house that does ring up the prices just to get more money out of the actors. Its super cozy and a great location for anyone in the valley!

This is my new favorite workshop place! I Love it! The number one reason is it’s the only place that I’ve found so far that gives you a time slot when you book! Genius! No mad dash to get there 2 hours before so that you’re not last! hurrah! :-) It was so relaxed when i arrived and the girls running the place are friendly and fun. The rooms are super cute too. It’s also the closest to where i live in the valley so that’s a bonus. And it has the most affordable prices out there too. Sticking with this one. :-)

I have attended two workshops here and both times it was quite pleasant.
It is run by two young ladies who know what they are doing and despite their youth are very professional, (I’m an old man of 55!)
The lounge/​waiting room is comfortable and feels more like a living room then a place to store starving actors.
The readers are great. No dropped lines or missing comedy beats.
The one on one is good but I wonder if all of us performing together, (in front of each other) would increase the energy?!

One of the most lovely places to do a workshop! The girls are super lovely, and the prices are some of the most reasonable in town. Great couches to relax on before you read– and really quality time with the casting directors. Highly recommend.

I used to come to this location when it was Dominion Entertainment. Not only do you get a lot of great workshops for $ 20, everyone is super friendly and there’s a ton of parking. The space is really intimate, so it’s only a small group of actors that go in and perform. You have a Q&A beforehand, and then head right into the scenes. They keep to your designated time slots and you don’t have to wait around. Love this place and will definitely keep going!

This is the best place that I’ve been to for a cold-​reading workshop. Once you enter, the atmosphere is relaxed, yet professional. The actors there are a good mix of character and leads, older and younger. Can’t top this place – it’s unique.

Really nice lil environment! Angela is sweet!
They give you a time slot after the Q&A, when you sign up, you can request when you want to meet your CD or agent, which helps with planning your time or day. Other places around town, you could be there for at least 2.5 hrs! Ridiculous. The area is a lil sketchy (but Im from Brooklyn, I can dig it) and the building is too (that is what threw me off), but the place (where the workshops are held) is nice and location (near the highway) is cool too.
