Veronica rocks! My go to mamacita for my waxing needs!! Omg, the wax she uses is the softest you will ever feel on your skin! She’s quick and a pro! Worth every penny! Makes you feel super comfortable and makes you laugh right before you feel like it’s the worst pain in the world as she’s about to pull that strip and make you feel oh sooo good!

I went here for my first airbrush tan. I did a lot of research and wanted something natural, your skin is your largest organ, and they have organic tanning.
Veronica did my airbrush, made me comfortable, and welcome. Can I tell u I love my color, I’m black, and when my husband came home that evening he kept saying how beautiful my skin looks not knowing I got airbrushed. I’ve just booked my second appt.

What an awesome salon!!! Great customer service and long lasting tan!!! I having been going to different tanning salons for a long time however everywhere I went after going In and out of the pool it looked horrible because it was all streaks, however the owner told me she can give a tan that won’t come off and she did!!! I would definelty recommend this place to everyone!!!

This place is ridiculous! I called for an appt they have a message that says to go online and book there. So I did that. Only to get an email hours later denying the appt saying that time slot is not open. So I call numerous times (since I bought the groupon to use it) finally I get a hold of an extremely rude woman. Everything I asked she gave me an answer that made no sense. Not sure why they say to book online when you book they don’t have that time available. I will make another complaint through groupon! Thanks for nothing lady!

I just saw your response and really I’m not surprised. Just as you were over the phone you’re the same way in this message. We can let the readers of it be the judge of how ridiculous of a business owner you sound like. First of all, like we told you over the phone??? You don’t speak to any customer that way lady. Goes to show how rude and disrespectful you are. You are ignoring my concern and replacing it by saying I was yelling at you. LOL do you just blame all your customer when you’re wrong instead of owning it and maybe considering a change to have a better impact on your customers??? My concern was time spots that are open online to book are actually booked for some reason. Your systems in your store don’t communicate with your website. This is extremely inconvenient since your customer is booking an appointment to find out hours later that you cancelled it based on availability. What if I didn’t check my email and I came there then got screwed because you would not service me??? To ignore the core issue and say I was yelling is very childish and unprofessional. Good luck continuing to grow your business by treating your customers like crap.

I am so glad I discovered this place. I have very fair skin and was feeling a little worried about getting a spray tan, but Veronica knew exactly what she was doing. My skin looks flawless and natural. The product she uses is organic and it doesn’t leave that musky odor like most spray tan places do. Veronica is so personable and down-​to-​earth. She is the type of person that you want to immediately become friends with. Her positive and happy-​go-​lucky nature makes your experience here that much better. Her salon is so trendy and she even has a boutique and all the clothing and swimsuits are 50% off right now. I cannot wait to come back. Thank you Veronica!!!

first time trying a hydra facial and it was amazing! Veronica knows what she’s doing, I broke out right before a trip so I wanted something with no down time recovery and this was it. Brightened my skin, cleared my pores and no redness! I’m going back and I suggest you try it.

Had my first spray tan with Veronica and she was lovely. I am very fair skinned and we went with a level 2 chocolate tone that turned out great for the first 24 hours. I got alot of compliments! however, ALOT of the color faded the next evening in the shower (lukewarm with minimal soap) so maybe try doing 1 shade darker if you need it to last? I felt alot less sticky afterwards compared to other airbrush experiences which was really nice. Veronica is really familiar with the craft and will not steer you wrong. My only other downside would be that my appointment felt very rushed. It was very fast and considering my color faded significantly the next night, I could have used a bit more time. But all in all, lovely salon. Highly recommended. Also, the boutique attached has great finds! Will be back.

This place really is a treat. Veronica and Alyssa are charming and wonderful. I came here to get a spray tan before my wedding — and did a test run a few weeks ago too — both times were excellent. I will certainly do this before any big events in the future. It looks natural and people always say «oh you got some sun!» instead of «oh you got spray tanned.» So I highly recommend it and you can’t go wrong with either of these 2 lovely ladies assisting you!

I’ve gotten quite a few waxes at little waxing boutiques and nail salons, and it’s always been a painful and horrifying experience.
When I passed by Treats for the Face and saw the «Painless Waxing» sign, I was skeptical but willing to try it once and see if it works.
Veronica is an absolute sweetheart, and didn’t make the experience weird at all. Other places I’ve gone, I felt super awkward and uncomfortable, but Veronica made it a totally natural thing. She asked me about a few of my habits and past experiences, but then we just talked like two old friends.
I was amazed at how painless it actually was! She first put a light numbing cream all over the area, then uses this blue gummy-​like wax, and instead of using linen strips, takes it off using a glove and the natural sticky-​ness of the wax. I was impressed by how short the whole process really was!
When we were done, she gave me some creams to put on the waxed area, which was totally hairless, and told me how to take care of it. I rescheduled for a month.
Throughout the month, my hair grew in thinner, softer and less coarse. As I’ve continued to get waxed by Veronica, my hair has grown in less and less, and I couldn’t be happier! I love Veronica and Treats for the Face!
Also, there’s a little taco shop connected to it that has burritos TO DIE FOR!

Great vibe at this place! Alyssa fixed up my hair with great color and sassy cut! The place shares space with a boutique & Mexican restaurant — so I had a yummy taco while I waited and bought a sexy jumpsuit! Fantastic experience, my new local fav!!!

I loved this place! The staff is so sweet and helpful! They are amazing and I am obsessed with the spray tan I just got! I love love love that it is organic and natural. This place is going to be my new addiction! Definitely coming back and would definitely recommend it to everyone!

I went to Treats For The Face for an airbrush tan and I LOVED IT! Great experience and good color :) I absolutely intend to go back.
DETAILS ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE:
As soon as I arrived for my appt, I was greeted by Veronica who is absolutely lovely. She welcomed me with a big smile and guided me to the tanning booth. This was my first time getting an airbrush tan — I’ve had spray tans in the past, but they were in machines which I find tend to turn out a little orange and streaky, so I wanted an actual human to apply this one for me. I was a little nervous to get almost-​naked for the application, but it was very secluded and private, and Veronica’s warm demeanor made me feel totally safe. Zero weirdness.
The whole process took less than 30 (I’m guessing 15 – 20) minutes. She spent time time talking to me about what kind of color I’m looking for. She’s a total pro and made it quick and easy. The initial color I ended up with seemed a little lighter than what I guess I had in mind (totally my fault… I kept insisting that I wanted to to be very natural and subtle!) and Veronica was nice enough to offer to add another coat. This time, it was perfect!
After my tan, I was waiting for a friend who had scheduled her appt right after mine. Veronica offered me tea while I waited in the lobby. I don’t get beauty treatments very often, mostly because of personal budget, and when I do I sometimes feel out of place. I feel like some salons can be a bit stuck up. Treats For The Face does not give me those vibes at all! It didn’t feel pretentious in any way. The employees made me feel like an old friend. Everyone was so wonderful!
DETAILS ABOUT THE TAN:
On the salon’s website, there are a lot of helpful tips for pre-​tan preparation, which I followed.
I got my tan around noon the day before my event. After the application, I went home and chilled for a few hours, trying to sit upright and keep my skin from touching or rubbing against anything as much as I could.
At one point, I decided to do some dishes. DUMB MOVE! The water splashed into my arms and rinsed the bronzer away leaving little white spots. (I should have known better!) Luckily, I was able to smooth it and even it out with some regular, lightweight moisturizer (I used CeraVe for normal to dry skin). It happened again later that evening when some rain soaked through the sweater I was wearing and caused a smear on my back — I smoothed that over with lotion, too :)
I slept in my tan and showered in the morning. Before my shower it was pretty blotchy in some spots, but I was pretty sure it would all smooth out with a rinse… Which it did! The color had developed A LOT overnight so it was much darker than I initially pictured, so I used a luffa and some body wash to try and gently scrub at my skin. It definitely helped!
After my shower I felt like a golden, sun-​kissed goddess! I’m so happy with my color. I’ve been taking a shameful amount of selfies and I want to find every excuse on the planet to go out on the town before it fades. I can’t wait to have another excuse to get an airbrush tan! :)

Veronica and her magic airbrush spray tan turned me from fish belly white to a sun-​kissed Egyptian Goddess. And it took less than 10 minutes!
She is also a great listener if you have specific shades you need or have any questions.

This review is specifically for Cat D’Andria. Where should I start, if you want to be completely pampered look no further, Cat is friendly, easygoing and a true professional. There are different beauty experts working here, you can have your hair done, mani-​pedi, facial or even bikini wax. It’s highly recommended to make an appointment, parking in the rear and while there, help yourself to coffee, herbal tea, mimosa, sangria and cookies/​baked goods. I enjoyed my pampering session and will definitely return :-)

I have only had a brazilian wax done twice before, so i’m no expert, but 1 thing i know is pain! I hate it. So when i kept driving by and seeing the «painless wax by Veronica» sign, i had to stop in. I did not know she was appointment only, and i was prepared to leave and come back another day once i set one. But Veronica was very accommodating and took me as a walk in anyway. Her place is beautiful and inviting. The wax room was clean and sanitary. I chose to get the brazilian. She numbed the area 1^st, which was great. She was done in no time and with very little pain. Again, im no expert, but i believe Veronica’s technique and quality products set her apart from the rest. To top it all off, she gave me samples of a scrub to help with hyperpigmentation. Awesome! She was very sweet, friendly and personable. I will definitely be back and refer all my friends!

I will start with this, I had never been waxed before I came here. My roommate has been getting waxed for years and she said this was the only place that didn’t hurt her! So I made my appointment for a Sunday afternoon, Veronica greets me and my roommate promptly and kindly. She brought us some water and talked to us like we were good friends. I immediately felt comfortable with her. My roommate and I both got Brazilians and she got her eyebrows as well. She sent me to the bathroom to put on numbing cream because I told her how scared I was. Numbed very well. My roommates eyebrows came out beautifully, she also went first for the Brazilian. My turn comes I sit down and Veronica talks to me the entire time keeping my mind off of it the whole time. We were done SO fast! Later she told me that she was taking her time with me. Really there was only 1 part of that area that «hurt» and that was the top of the pubic bone and that’s also where she did the first wax on me. We were leaving and se gave us a few samples of products to try. I will for sure be coming back here for all my waxing needs! Thank you Veronica! xo

I use to come to Veronica all the time for waxing. Mostly because she did it fast and it isn’t as painful as other places. It wasn’t until my last experience there a few years ago that I stopped. I feel compelled to write a review now because I wasn’t too into Unilocal at the time. Now I feel I should warn other Unilocalers.
When I first met her she was really friendly, probably because she wanted to keep me as a future customer. But as time went by I noticed that she would be nice and talkative some days and other days she would act like she didn’t know. Also the amount she would charge me each time varied from low to high. It was so inconsistent that I got fed up because I didn’t know what her logic was.
The last time I was there she rushed through the wax and left the room so quickly. It wasn’t until I got home and took a shower that I realized she did a terrible job. I was so angry that I haven’t been back since. Clearly she wasn’t paying attention at all.
I have discovered sugaring since then and it is so much better. I suggest finding another salon that does sugaring than wasting your time here.

I’ve been going to Veronica and Treats since 2011 and it’s something I look forward to every time (even when I’m getting something unpleasant or utilitarian done hah!). I first went to Treats on a whim for waxing in 2011 one time right before I moved to San Francisco. Fast forward a little over a year later when I moved back to LA, and booked another appointment. Veronica not only recognized me but remembered everything about me! She treats her clients like stars no matter what line of work they’re in. Her facials are the only thing that work on managing my terrible skin and I can’t recommend her gummy bare wax for lips, nostrils (YES nostrils!), and eyebrows enough!
I’ve also gotten my nails and hair colored/​cut here and I’m always amazed. I also had my bachelorette party here and the updos for myself/​my bridesmaids. Total perfection! Veronica takes her work seriously and pours everything into her business and her employees. My treatments there are better than going to a dermatologist and more balancing than seeing a therapist ;)

I’d been a customer on and off for years til recently. A huge part of why I stopped going was the price. I can’t afford to do it as often as I’d like at those prices.
I wrote and later deleted my bad first experience because Veronica reached out to me to try to remedy the situation so I gave her a 2^nd chance. A few years ago when I had another bad experience I reached out to her and again Veronica went out of her way to keep me as a customer. Since then I specifically requested Veronica each and every time.
I have to agree with some of the bad reviews though. I never knew what mood she’d be in. Sometimes she’d be very sweet and chatty. Other times she’d be kind of quiet and rough. Maybe because she knew me as a repeat customer she was never outright rude to me. I just figured she was human and had good and bad days like the rest of us. I’d usually end up getting the Sister Clean because each time I tried the Brazilian I was unsatisfied. The strip was always off center and looked like it was done without much care. I’d end up shaving as soon as I got home.
I never bought anything at the boutique but the clothes and accessories are very cute. I love the décor of the store as well. It’s very pink and girly and feminine.
One of the reasons I was a customer for so long was because her «painless» wax was still painful for me and I was terrified of trying anywhere else. I figured if the painless wax hurt this much, what would regular wax feel like? I finally tried somewhere new and learned that «painless» wax hurts about the same as regular wax.
