Dr. Shoemaker’s 30 plus years of practicing general, cosmetic dentistry along with 27 years of implant dentistry in the Texoma area allows him to use his expertise and methods of dentistry to benefit his family of patients. He and his professional, friendly, caring staff treat patients with the simplest or basic of needs to the most complex of needs in one office. His office is dedicated to prevention, service and excellence. His patients benefit from quality, long-​term dental health care. He offers routine cleanings, oral cancer screenings, dentures, smile make overs, root canals, crowns, bridges, simple to wisdom teeth extractions, fillings, CT scans, single implants and crowns, to full mouth implant reconstructions with implant over dentures, the implant fixed bridge and the palate-​less implant denture. Dr. Shoemaker offers dental counseling or talking visits to patients to help formulate what types of dentistry today is best for their dental health. Sedation dentistry is available to his patients when necessary through the comfort of oral or IV sedation which allows his patients to sleep through their dental treatment. Dr. Shoemaker understands the importance of patient care. He has found that patients can suffer dental problems because of poorly planned dental treatment. With Dr. Shoemaker’s expertise and excellence in dentistry he formulates dental plans so that each individual patient can experience a beautiful smile and function for a life time.

History

Established in 1981.

After dental school my wife and I moved to Sherman Texas and opened my first dental office on Rusk Street close to downtown. She and I were the only employee’s at first but over time we were blessed with wonderful patients and a fabulous staff so consequently the practice grew and we out grew our first location. So in 1988 or so we moved to a brand new location on North Travis St. We have been in this location for 27 years or so and are in the process of building a brand new state of the art dental facility in Crescent Oaks Plaza-​along N. Hwy 75. We plan on being in our new location by August of 2015.

Business Owner

Dr. John Shoemaker III was born and raised in Dallas Texas. He graduated from Southwestern Union College in Keene, Texas and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University Dental School in 1981. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association and is board certified. He is a fellow of the Misch International Implant Institute. He is 1 of 34 dentists in Texas and 1 of 596 United States dentists with diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
