Established in 1952.
The Wm. O. Coats Agency was started in Union City in 1952 by its namesake, and for over 50 years has served the state of Michigan. Bill Coats has served as the past president of the Michigan State Auctioneers Association, not to mention several other leadership positions in our industry.
In 1998, Craig M. Hoppe joined the organization as an associate Auctioneer, and in 2001 Craig & his wife Tammy purchased the business from Bill, who maintains a position with the company.
