Great selection of trees and gift shop very cute. One down side trees were a bit overpriced

Being from a rural-​country farm town, my personal opinion is that Sleighbells is a joke. Last year it was CRAZY trying to navigate the place. I had extremely high hopes for the incredibly cute country-​themed gift shop, but was severely disappointed when it was filled to the brim with overpriced «Made In China» holiday décor. The guys who picked up the tree and helped us load it were fine, but anyone towards the shop were visibly overwhelmed and short. Not the warm fuzziness that gets you into the holiday spirit. Also, seeing the irrefutablely unprofessional response to a customers post from two years ago really sums up the place!
There are nicer and less expensive places that provide an excellent environment for families around this part of Oregon– go there this year!

I’ve been going to Sleighbells for the last 10 years. It’s funny how everyone has such a different perspective of the same thing. I find Sleighbells to be very organized for how much inventory they have and it is not chaotic to me, it is eye candy everywhere. There have been A LOT of changes in the last year, all positive. It was so nice going back after they were closed to a really sweet staff and lots of great sales!

Our family has been coming here for several years and each year this place gets better and better!
When you get there, park your car and check out a saw. They give you a ticket that you tag your tree with. Take your tree to the covered tree area and they will shake it and bundle it for you. Once you take your tree to have it bundled, you will get your ticket with the size/​kind of tree. Take that ticket inside the cozy shop and pay for it. Drive your car around and give the receipt to the staff and they will help you load it up ;)
They now have on busy weekends a taco food cart that you can order food and pay inside with your debit card along with your tree purchase.
Hot chocolate is free for the first cup and second cup is $ 1.00. Just grab a clean cup off rack and fill your own cup.
Santa was super friendly and very patient with the little ones.
Highly recommend to come with your family. Just remember to bring gloves and jackets… it gets cold but you can quickly warm up in the gift shop ;)

My family and I look forward to going to Sleigh Bells every year to get our tree. It’s fun to start traditions with your young kids around the holidays. Picking out our tree-​out of many lovely ones-​cutting it down, seeing Santa-​after a 5 min wait-​and finally choosing one new ornament each in their huge, well-​stocked shop is all part of the fun! We never miss it!

Cute place, picturesque view! My husband and I needed to find a tree the day after Thanksgiving this year (we didn’t have any other weekends free for a while), and Sleighbells was the only place open we could find at this time. It was not crowded, and we had a great selection. If you are concerned about crowds, try going at this time. We chose and cut down our tree, and two workers drove up to get it with their truck. It was nice not to have to carry it down their hill. The gift shop was really cute – two stories of decorations and gifts, and they have tons of fudge!

I am very sad that there are so many unpleasant reviews. This is our second year going to Sleighbells. We went on a Sunday morning and found a parking spot right away. It wasn’t crowded, the staff were helpful and very nice to all our family.
There is a large selection and a variety of trees. It didn’t take long to find our perfect tree. Once we cut it down, and the perfect time a nice man came around with a truck & trailer to take our tree to be shaken and corded.
We couldn’t find the hot chocolate but that was okay since our tree was ready so quickly.

I don’t have anything else to compare Sleighbells to. I have been to this place in Sherwood many times over the years. While there are some items decently priced, most items are simply overpriced.
Santa and the Santa setup is nothing amazing and so a $ 5 price tag to take your own photos is on the steep side if you ask me. If you don’t care about the photos, then it’s free for the kids to talk to Santa.
While some complain about the hot chocolate being cold or cool. I would agree with other reviewers that it’s plenty hot to drink and not hot enough to worry about kids being burned. So I am fine with that. First cup is free and $ 1 per cup after that.
The inside temperature is a little cold for my taste. But some people may like that as they may feel they don’t need to shed any layers upon entering.
Today (Saturday) was extremely busy. I didn’t get a tree, but many people were at the shop and getting trees.
Overall, if you are near Sherwood and want a large selection of decorations to look at, it’s worth checking out. I would not travel great distances for this experience though. But again, remember my review is based on not having another similar experience to compare it to. This is the only Christmas shop in the middle of a tree farm, that I have been to.
So far, I prefer a more convenient setting with paved parking lots and lower prices with bigger indoor spaces.
While I am no expert in everything that Sleighbells has to offer, I didn’t see anything that stood out as hand made or unique. Everything appeared to be items mass produced that you could get elsewhere for cheaper. Which is unfortunate as I think this type of business would be more satisfying if it had a lot of handmade/​unique items instead of the usual catalog and store items.

This is only our second year going to Sleighbells for our Christmas tree and I had to share my experience. It’s a very popular place to go so if you go on the weekends it’s going to be busy. It’s popular for a reason! The Santa is amazing (yes you have to pay $ 5 but that’s a heck of a lot cheaper than any mall and they allow you to take your own pictures!), the hot chocolate is not steaming hot… it’s a perfect temp considering the majority of the people drinking it are kids! And did I mention that it’s free? How nice of them not to serve it steaming hot :-). Oh, and there is a room in the back, very festively decorated, with 5 or 6 big tables to sit and sip your cocoa. We found the customer service to be fantastic. There was a very kind man waiting with his chainsaw to assist with cutting down the tree. My daughter and I were waiting around while my husband was paying for our tree and three different people approached me to ask if I needed any help, one of which assisted with bringing the tree to the car and tying it down. Did I mention the fudge? They have so many delicious flavors you will find it difficult to choose, or at least I did. And the person working the fudge counter exudes customer service… I was very impressed!

Disappointing. As a child, my family went to Sleighbells only once and as an adult I now understand why. The last few years I have been urged to go by a few friends and this year actually ended up going. I recommended sleigh bells to a few friends and am completely embarrassed at doing so. It was incredibly crowded but really, tis the season. My irritation was the lack of organization and conflicting information received from employees.
The kettle corn was tasty but cold, the hot chocolate was almost warm and totally lumpy and there were no maps or pricing information readily available. Upon request we learned the pricing tiers for the different kinds of trees, but there was no information on which trees are which or where they could be found.
We found a great tree in good health, it looks beautiful and the price was okay. But the experience was a disappointing one.

I was thoroughly excited to visit this place after I’ve driven by for years and wanted to stop in. We were looking for a Christmas tree and was invited by a family member to go there and get a tree.
When we got there, it was rather chaotic. I had no idea what to do and there were no signs stating ANYTHING about either price or directions. I was lost. We asked the people at the tree area what to do and they gave us a run down. After we picked up our tree we brought it down, but there were no designated places to drop it off so that it could be shaken and bundled. We finally tracked someone down and they told us where to drop it off. There was confusion around the tags as well. My brother actually got kind of yelled at by an employee because apparently the tags were not supposed to be separated and they told my brother that employees were getting fired for letting people separate the tags. (That gives me suuuuuch a great impression of management [insert sarcasm]). Again, there were no signs or ANYTHING stating how to get a tree.
The gift shop was incredibly crowded. There were no places to sit, and they charged $ 5 to sit with Santa and take a picture with your own phone. Maneuvering room was very limited and I felt claustrophobic. I had to go outside. s
Long story short, it was unorganized chaos. I do not like going into anything not knowing how much I am going to pay for something. This place could improve a lot of things, mostly customer service and organization. I got a nice tree, some delicious kettle corn, and a cup of free hot (meaning slightly warm) chocolate, which moved the experience from 1 star to 2, but I won’t be back. There are other places which offer a better experience and more products (such as food and HOT chocolate and cider) for a family friendly Christmas tree shopping experience.

Here’s the thing. A business is only as good as it’s customer service… which is a direct reflection of the owners/​managers of a business. Without this basic service… of treating a customer with respect, a business is worthless.
After seeing this shop publicly try to humiliate someone by name for writing a 3 star review about their business I have lost a lot of respect. Do I still love this place? Absolutely. But I am wondering now if I really know enough to make that assessment. I mean, what kind of owner would allow such behavior on the internet? You run a business! Yes, bad reviews will come… some will be deserved, some will be completely bogus, others may be flat out blunt and painful to read. That is part of running a business… getting unsolicited feedback. If you want to be successful you need to learn to roll with the punches and be receptive to that feedback and be willing to change over time as needed in response to that feedback.
For the record, 3 stars is NOT a bad review. It means a business is «Okay». Now… this here 2 star review… it is not so great.
Sadly I think I am going to cancel my visit to this shop… which was planned for next week. Come on Man! Your place is supposed to bring up feelings of happiness… not bitterness… Get over it. It was one mediocre review! Who the heck cares! It isn’t worth trashing someone over!

If you’re looking for a place to get your standard «Made in China» holiday trinkets at, this is the place to go. You’ll die of glitter poisoning before you run out of ornaments to look at. That being said, it was really, really fun in a kitchy sort of way.
I went on their Facebook page to congratulate them because it was a fun experience; then I saw them belittling a customer on their page because she hadn’t given them a 5 star review. (Looks like she posted on here already). Then an army of their customer drones all piled on and pummeled this gal. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Sleighbells, you guys are making yourselves look like elitist fools who can’t give the time of day for a customer who gave an honest review. From one business owner to another, we both know the customer isn’t always right. But in this case, you look completely wrong. And unprofessional. Not a good combo for someone trying to stay in business.

We decided to go here after work one day because the website said they were open till 6pm. We got there, and bought stuff from their gift shop which was awesome, but there were no lights outside set up by the trees. We ended up leaving without one and decided to come back another time.
I left a 3 star review on Facebook so others would also know they don’t have trees after dark and the management tried to publicly humiliate me on their status because of it… I really didn’t think the whole thing was a big deal, but any owners of any business who wants to slam a customer on their Facebook page because they didn’t say all positive things is ridiculous. I am appalled at the unprofessional behavior and the complete backlash of not leaving a 5 star review.
I even took a screen shot of their website on my phone under the Christmas Tree section and no where does it say they stop at dusk. How was I supposed to know?
It’s just rude and really unkind to do that to a paying customer — Just ruined my day! It was 3 stars. Now it’s one.
Choose a farm that has respect for its customers — in person AND online.

We have been clients of Sleigbells for over 10 years and enjoy going there to kick off our holiday season and ring in the spirit of Christmas. For many years we’ve hosted our annual client appreciation event there for our real estate business, Gardner Team Real Estate. It’s become a holiday tradition for us and our clients, seeing them get their family tree each year or annual ornament. Sleighbells is a magical place, the staff is very friendly and there’s something there for everyone. It’s amazing that they’re open 7 days a week all year long too — it’s not just Christmas there, it’s other holidays and local goods too! Very neat that we have a slice of the North Pole right here in Sherwood, everyone should go!

Holy mother of Christmas. If you can’t find something that speaks to you in the Christmas explosion that is Sleighbells, there’s something wrong with you!
I’ve never bought a tree from them, so I can’t speak to that side of their business. They do have a million trees, and they were all very good-​looking, from what I could see from the parking lot. I’m super interested in their pick-​a-​tree-​in-​September-​pick-​it-​up-​in-​December program.
I knew it was a holiday wonderland, but I wasn’t prepared for just how much stuff they had. For the fancy decorators out there, they have a full line of Department 56 products, including so many different villages, it made my head spin! Proof: they had a Chick-​fil-​A village set. HOLY CRAP! They’ve also got a good selection of the Old World ornament line, as well as Lenox products, Disney, College teams, NFL, Charlie Brown, pets, every food item possible, religious, customized ornaments and a Halloween section as well. Litterally something for all tastes. They’ve also got some of the Painted Ponies that I don’t see up here much. Buuuut, it doesn’t come cheap. The reviewer that said their entire stock could wholesale for $ 49.95 was dead wrong. Most of the items here are a bit more pricey than you’d find at a mass retailer, more than I’d usually want to pay, except that I found some amazingly epic things that I’d never seen before (including a piece from the aforementioned Chick-​fil-​A collection. I couldn’t help myself).
I tried the fudge — wowza! Yum. Fantastic little place off the beaten path that is a must-​must-​must see for the Christmas enthusiast. If your a grinch, put up with it long enough to get your group to cruise down the street to one of the many wineries. You won’t be sorry!

It is like Christmas exploded in here.
There are many seasonal holiday stores that pop up for a few months then disappear, but at Sleighbells it is the holly, jolly season 365 days a year. Rather than being completely cutesy and quaint, it was more like being lost in a funhouse full of holiday trinkets. Some adorable, some whimsical, some a bit disturbing.
For many people, part of the holiday season is the deals you can score before and after Christmas. I’m a planner, so I regularly buy items for next year right after Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. Since this store is open year round, there is no incentive for them to mark down and unload their merchandise, so don’t go expecting bargains.
Do go expecting the largest selection of holiday items I’ve ever seen. This two-​story farmhouse out in the country has more Christmas items packed floor to ceiling than I’ve ever seen. Whole walls filled with ornaments covering every breed of dog, cat, bird and other animals. Sections dedicated to food (pies, sundaes, beer cans) and sports teams. Most local stores carry Ducks and Beavers ornaments, but Sleighbells had 30 college football team helmets, most pro football teams and baseball ornaments.
Part of me was overwhelmed. Just too much stuff and almost none of it marked down. The downstairs used to house a tea shoppe, but they’ve since moved to Hillsboro. Now it is a bit bare and is filled with candles and other seasonal items including a section filled with Halloween item. All the really interesting merchandise was upstairs.
I ended up purchasing the one item I had in mind, but thought I would walk out with an armload of merchandise. Paying full price just after Christmas, just isn’t me. Ho, ho, no.

Bought a Christmas tree from them. Amazing lot, my tree looks fake because of how perfect it is, and it took me about 5 min to find it. With a 2 year old and a 10 week old, that was a HUGE plus to walk into a forest of perfect trees.
Also, they had a certified fireman there to tie the tree down to the roof with efficient use of string, and some very good knots that I could not tie myself. It’s kind of nice to know that a fireman basically guarantees that the tree is «fit for highway speeds» on your roof.
Had a quick and unconfusing process for buying, paying and receiving your tree.
Found a couple good fun trinkets in the gift shop which is cramped but has a few neat things to look at.
We will probably return. Mostly for the service and good prices on 6ft Noble Fir ($ 38).

I totally disagree with the other reviewer (although he did say hate it or love it so maybe that means I do agree), and he totally missed some great points about Sleighbells.
First, I’ve never done this, but you can go and pick out a Christmas tree while it’s still growing, and then come back and get it when it’s ready, and you’re ready for it. Since I live around there there are plenty of other good places to drive up to and chop down your own, but I do like the idea of reserving a tree and coming back later for it.
The shop inside is absolutely stuffed with Christmas ornaments and while a lot of them are standard ornament some of them are the great hand blown /​hand made glass like Christopher Radko and such. And about ornaments, most ornaments don’t cost a fortune, they’re just little fun things for kids to hang on the tree. But if you do want the really nice ornaments, they have them here. There are also tons of stockings, tree skirts, and a big section of that Christmas village type of stuff.
They also make their own fudge and have lots of different flavors including several sugar free kinds. It is important to note there that you can sample any flavor you like.
The place is opened all year along and they have decorations and things for every holiday during the year. They also have a little type of tea restaurant and I think they have some small foods as well.
I stop by this place every year and get my wife an ornament and some fudge and it’s a really enjoyable experience/​tradition.
