First, the club is a really nice facility, a bit older compared to the new local facilities, but being maintained impeccably. Perfectly maintained, beautiful outdoor areas with pools and spas. But the sales guy left me cold, didn’t listen, wasn’t clear on the price, and seemed a bit off. I had to ask to speak with another sales professional. When I did, I was completely impressed by her professionalism and personable approach, encouraging me to join a couple different tennis groups and setting me up with a trainer. I’m excited to be joining.

Love this Gym. Plenty of great classes and instructors. With weight room, spin room, circuit training, Tennis and raquetball courts, 2 pools, jaccuzzi, sauna there is plenty to keep Me busy. I told Colleen (She is a great employee) that it was too Hot in the Zumba class and BAM! Next week there was a new fan in there for Me. Love this Place and Its positive Energy…

I really want to like this place, the facility is great, the people at reception are friendly. But the membership/​sales staff… Every dealing with them I have pisses me off.
From the overly evasive phone techniques — no I’m not going to just come into see the facility when you won’t give me any straight information.
To the pushy tactics used to sell plans. You must buy today! Because what person doesn’t believe they would offer a New Years special?
But I really want to swim and there aren’t any other options around. So I sign up, and even that doesn’t go smoothly. And in the fumbling the sales staff doesn’t provide me with a membership number.
So when I go to try and use the pool, I end up having to wait to see the membership staff again. No biggie, as I need to change my billing information. Except that wait takes 40 minutes. So now I don’t have time to swim and have wasted 35 minutes for drive time each way.
Yeah, I’m angry. I do not want to hear the sales manager tell me how this person should have done this, and that person should have done that. The blame shifting apology doesn’t mean anything when what I want is my time back.

Now I know what the other people who gave this gym a one star were saying. I just got a phone call from Nino of In-​Shape. I was thinking about joining and after he could not get me to come in a check out the gym, he got frustrated and hung up quickly. Rude. Well, looks like I’ll stay where I’m at for half the cost. The amenities are great, sure, but the staff is what makes a successful facility as well. Will talk my extended family in to moving where I’m at and not continue their membership here. Too bad, I was going to switch here from my current gym. If a staff member can’t gain a customer’s confidence through a phone call then it is definitely going to be a lot worse in person. Need to train this staff member some people skills.

Great gym, they have everything, cardio room, weight room, classes, raquetball, tennis, basketball, pool and spa, sauna, daycare for the kids, locker rooms and showers, as well as tons of classes. They have personal trainers available too. I love their «pink» room which has some cardio machines, weight machines and free weights but it’s nice for those who may not be comfortable working out in front of others. There’s also has tanning beds. It’s a great location and a good size parking lot. I only give it 4 stars because of the price. They offer discounts for certain employers though so be sure to ask for that.

Am writing this review to give someone else out there a little more info on this place. First of all I go here and while I think it is pricier than it should be I am happy with it mostly. I really like the staff, they are friendly and helpful. The kids place is OK. I like a couple of the workers ALOT but others are just ok. It is pretty small for how big of a gym. My kids don’t love it but don’t hate it. But what they do love is the pool area and I have to agree! We bring food and bbq during the summer and swim everyday. BUT they don’t heat the kids pool and yet they don’t have a spa that they allow kids in! And a large amount of the older members DO NOT like it if you try to sneak your kids in (oh yes, I am one of those moms). The staff was very prompt in letting us know that wasn’t ok as well. I have a problem with this! It is a family club so the there should be a family spa! And until they do they should let families in! I love this place just for me and my husband but there need to be a few adjustments on the family side. Overall it has great equipment and the remodel they did is nice. I like that you have the option to have a membership with tanning and massage beds for 20 $ extra and like I said everyone is nice. I would recommend it but with a few reservations to be said up front.

Kudos to newly appointed, deeply experienced, hands-​on leader, Linda, and her stellar team at InShape El Dorado. We commend the world class customer service by sincerely caring folks from general manager to front desk to operational staff to inspirational fitness pros, who are clearly committed to continuous improvement. We enjoy spacious and varied gym facilities, state of the art equipment and exquisitely mellow yet unpretentious outdoor/​indoor Sierra mountain wellness ambience with sharp attention to detail and cleanliness. We’re witnessing obviously happy members, enjoying the experience. We are very pleased with the high order of professionalism, health knowhow and client care as we explore fitness programs and activities. We chose InShape El Dorado after an exhaustive and exacting search for the best value for the money. We are wholly pleased and recommend this oasis fully.

This place is a joke. They want to charge you up the nose to join and the quality of the service is terrible. I had a free pass from a friend and before I could even work out and use it they stuck me with some kid behind a desk who forcibly tried to get me to not use my free pass for the twelve weeks as stated on the paper, but use the coupon to «get lower joining fees». I repeatedly said no thank you, and they WOULDN’T let me go! I had to literally get up and walk out. Couldn’t even use my pass. Way too pushy and rude to boot and now they won’t stop calling me!
Don’t bother going in this place is garbage I’d rather stay out of shape. Go to Anytime Fitness instead. Even 24Hours. They at least treat you well.

I had a little «hiccup» in my training sessions as my personal trainer left and the new trainer did not contact me nor did he respond to my attempts at communication. I notified the corporate headquarters and received a response with 24 hours and met with managers within the following 24 hours. They took my concerns seriously and rectified the situation immediately. Exceptional customer service!

BEWARE!!! Do not join this gym! The manager of this gym Nino is a lying snake. We joined this gym without any sort of trial because we were rushed to join for some special joining package. When we joined we were concerned about not really getting to trial the gym and so we asked about cancellation. Nino assured us that he would work something out if it didn’t work out. Well one month in we realized that the class schedule was highly lacking. In particular the cycle classes. There are not nearly enough classes for a facility of this size and price. When I asked Nino what we could do because we wanted to cancel our membership he said there was nothing we could do except freeze our membership. I said freeze the membership and I would like your supervisor to call me. He assured me once again that the membership was on freeze. We are still being charged monthly. Nino continues to lie and say he knew nothing of each conversation we have had. Trust nothing this man says. There is a much better way to manage a gym than lying to people and continue taking their money.

This is a beautiful facility with a rotten staff. I was lied to at every turn. My membership was stretched out to longer than I had agreed to. I was signed up for 12 personal training session instead of 6. I got out of it only by calling Member Services in their main department. She told me that because I live in CA they could back it out. Only in CA. If you decide to sign up regardless of my warning be aware that they first had me paying 3 times as much just to sign up than I actually paid after I started to walk out the door. They will tell you it’s a 1 day special only lasting 3 hrs etc.
Total rip off. BEWARE

I received a call as a recommendation from a friend and I was willing to take a look at the facility together as a couple with my husband. We made the appointment a week ago last Sunday 08÷24÷14. The person that called was very nice it was a woman (not sure if her name was Dolores or Dorothy) but she was not able to meet us on Sunday so she said that she would put Nino in charge of meeting with us to show us around and discuss maybe opening a membership. We showed up at our appointed time 1PM and find out Nino has left the building because the receptionist said he was at a fundraiser at the Rancheria. So where does that leave us? We were offered to talk with someone else if we wanted to wait half an hour. I don’t know about you but our time is precious and we did not like being stood up. It has been 9 days and nobody has even tried to contact us to apologize for the mix up of miscommunication. Poor customer service.

I thought the customer service could have been abit better. I knew it as the Millennium Sports club and went there cause of all the other folks were there we knew went there. We still go there. But they really need to get on the game for customer service more. It has some really top notch equipment. And the courts for tennis are all very very well cared for.
But for the price, I would have expected better towel service or availability of classes available.
Of all the portions of Millennium Sports Club history was the cleanliness of the showers/​steam spa. Good to bring kids but really not great at their prices (but of course i understand they have to pay the staff).-correct me if I am wrong cause it may or may not be free now.

We are charter members of Millennium (formerly Wilson) Sports Club. It is a friendly club that has not been well maintained, however, we are hopeful the new owners are going to change this. The fitness rooms are adequate and they have many aerobic classes, good trainers and a great yoga program. The pools are rundown and are not clean however the new owners say a new indoor pool is in the works. The 14 tennis courts need to be resurfaced but are playable. The best thing the new owner did was bring on a new, young, enthusiastic new tennis pro, Chris. He is full of new ideas and is working hard. His instruction is great and he is always willing to hit with you if he is not busy. We think he will breath new life into the tennis program. So if you are interested in a friendly sports club with emphasis on tennis this is the club for you.
