Scott Pyle, the owner of S & D Automotive, is a true gentleman! He is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. My wife and I were driving back from Tahoe yesterday and we were experiencing issues with our car’s oil consumption. Scott took care of us after closing, adding oil to our car and printing off helpful info about our model/​make that we are going to bring to our dealership (our car is still under warranty). I highly recommend Scott and his business!

Best service around! I dropped a boat load o’ cash here but, Steve kept me informed throughout the process. I had water pump, brakes, oil change and my AC worked on.

After Cameron Park Automotive and Automotive Services Unlimited both told me that they wouldn’t install an owner-​supplied part, S&D told me «no problem», scheduled me for the next morning and installed the part hassle-​free and at a reasonable cost, saving me hundreds of dollars over what the other repair shops would have charged. Beware of shops that tell you they won’t install owner-​supplied parts. Whatever reason they give you, it usually boils down to the fact that they don’t want to lose the money they’ll make in marking up the price of the parts.

S&D is a very honest and trustworthy shop. They do great work and if something is not right. they make it right. I am never hesitant to take my BMW here for maintenance.

I highly recommend S&D Automotive. I use to take my Chev Camaro to Folsom Chevy, but after several repair screw ups by FC I went to S&D Auto. They’ve worked on my cars several times with no problems. You can feel comfortable knowing your car will be properly fixed.

Buyer Beware. After spending over $ 1500 on repairs with S&D I still had to take it else where to get the initial issue fixed. Apparently the most expensive solution was recommended by S&D vs the most common. Returned 3 times and did not get the since that they where willing to stand behind their work or refund considering the problem continued.

My husband and I have gone to S & D for repairs a few times over the past few years and have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience. They are knowledgable, helpful and honest. They have even fixed «little» things on our cars and not charged us. They have our business for sure. Nice to have an honest mechanic close by!

Had my air conditioning checked out Scott was very thorough in the diagnostics and my air conditioning is working awesome. I had no reservations in taking my truck to S&D for service. They did everything I asked and let me know everything my truck needed to get fixed and got my truck back to me the same day.

Took in an Escalade 2002 for a dying battery problem. They «named and fixed» the probelm as to why the car was draining the battery when the battery was brand new. A day later, after hundreds of dollars of work, the battery was dead upon the morning again.
Took it back in, only to get charged another 100 $ for them to take out a fuse and tell me that they had no idea what was wrong with the car. They only had an idea. Still having the problem, and will not be going back to this company.

Driving from SF to Tahoe, my car suddenly lost power and started making horrible noises. In an unfamiliar town, I feared the worst. After pulling into S&D, which is located right off Hwy 50, I was met by the owners, Scott and Danae and their dog. Scott test drove my car and told me I had a blown turbo. I needed a rental and they recommended an agency nearby and gave me a ride there. I had my turbo replaced in roughly one business day. It was an expensive repair but the labor cost was very reasonable.
S&D treated me incredibly well and proved to be a very knowledgeable auto shop run by honest, good people that try to take care of their customers. If I lived in Folsom or Cameron Park, I would go to S&D for all my car service needs.

Had trouble passing smog at another automotive shop. After some minor repairs, the vehicle passed. The same vehicle had some other issues that the owner showed me and suggested how I may fix it myself. He was extremely helpful.
