History

Established in 1984.

Care Plus Medical was created to be a modern health care clinic here to serve our community. The first location was built in Shoreline. We have always been committed to providing our patients with quality medical care, a convenient location, and affordable fees. Soon we added an additional clinic in Kenmore to increase this convenience.

Meet the Manager

Jerilee M.

Manager

I have worked at CarePlus since its conception by the original owners, approximately 27 years. I was part of the process of finding the location, building out the interior of our location, applying for licensure and credentialing out practitioners with the various insurance entities. I was also in charge of marketing CarePlus by reaching out to the business community and our potential patient base.

I enjoy the fact that we are taking care of God’s childrens’ medical needs and doing his work in their lives. I love working with our young employees and sharing my experiences with them as they grow and become excellent staff members. It is exciting to see their growth and to be able to encourage them to use their creative energies.

SPENT OVER $ 1200. For two stitches. This is a purely insane ripoff. Out of pocket liability since it was due to my dog biting my brother. Never going here again.

Horrible place! Went for knee pain. Was wearing jeans and no gown was given. Thinking okay, maybe the provider wants to meet me first then he’ll put me in a gown. No, he then informed me my choice of clothing wasn’t a good choice since now he wont be able to fully examine my knee. Keep in mind it is 30 degrees out. He then had me do some strength exercises with my knees and that was all. Then was told to take a med that I already took. I informed him of that. Then pretty much accused me of being a drug seeker cause i didn’t tell him about one time I got pain meds from my dentist. I didn’t even want pain meds, just wanted a damn X-​ray to rule out a fracture. Never once did I ask for pain meds, he just assumed. So I will never return. I work in the medical field and I know the doctor I work for never assumes.

The team here saved my life! I came in earlier this year because I had woken up one morning with a swollen arm & after a couple days the swelling hadn’t gone down so I figured it’d be a good idea to get it checked out real quick. The check-​in procedure was fast & friendly. The wait was as expected, without an appointment. I was taken to a room where a gentleman checked my vitals & such & asked why I had felt the need to come in. Within 15 minutes another gentleman came in (I don’t remember his name but he was a PA I think) and he took a look at my arm the checked my pulse while moving it up and down & left the room for a minute. When he came back he said he was on the line with Harborview & UW and they agreed with him that I may have a serious & rare blood clot in my arm & since it’d take longer for EMS to arrive than driving there, that I should drive to the E.R. as fast as possible. Once I got to the E.R. since he had forwarded them all my information, they already had a team of specialists waiting for me & I had gotten the best care possible. He really did save my life! I am so glad I went to CarePlus!

I was required to come to this specific location by my school for a drug test (I had to pee in a cup). I called the weekend before and a young woman told me I didn’t need to set an appointment and walking in would be just fine. I came in the morning and there was no one in the waiting area and only one older woman behind the desk. She was not welcoming and acted as though my being there for a mandatory test was a severe inconvenience to her.
She asked me to sign a form, took my ID and did not return it right away. 5 minutes later when I finished filling out the form she had left her desk and did not return for 10 minutes. I waited 20 more minutes before I asked her how much longer it would be until I could be seen and she said that in the 30 minutes I had been there she had yet to even check me into the system. She then proceeded to roll her eyes at me and tell me she had ‘no idea’ how much longer it would be but that someone would see me ‘pretty soon’.
After a total of 45 minutes, I was finally seen by a girl no older than I was (I’m 24) who walked me through the entire procedure in less than 2 minutes. She apologized for the wait, which was appreciated, but she said she was the only one in the office and there were no other patients in the room.
This office is poorly run, unprofessional, and does not care how much of your time they waste.

Wow, all I wanted was to come here for a periodic health assessment, a vision test, and a hearing test. They got me through the whole thing in about an hour, which I suppose isn’t bad, but they really could work on just about everything else. Like basic human interactions, for instance.
I arrived to my appointment about 15 minutes early and tried to check in with the receptionist. The lady was overweight and extremely rude, treating me like I was some sort of interruption to her work. She mentioned that she was very busy, and this is while it was obvious that I was early, unhurried, and had some time to spare. Her name was Debbie, I believe.
The vision test consisted of the simple reading letters from a chart. The audiogram had me raise my arm depending on which ear heard a sound, but this was in a room with background noise. They didn’t have me press a button for a computer to record, leading me to wonder how accurate the test really is. For measuring my blood pressure, they used the most primitive sphygmomanometer. Really, it was the receptionist that I had most of an issue with. I hate it when I come in and I’m treated like they don’t have enough time for me.

Always the best care here by Leinard Leimbach. My children love his bedside manner. He makes them comfortable and is knowledgable. I feel like we matter because of his complete care. He Takes his time with us and always provides us with solutions to feel better. Thank you Leinard my family appreciates your care.

Oh good god, I hope you are not really ill or have anything else to do. This place used to be okay (2−3÷5 stars) until they shut down the Kenmore location. Now all the agonizingly slow Kenmore employes work here and guess what? It has come to a grinding halt. I just sat in the waiting room for an entire hour to leave a urine specimen. They took two people back to see a doctor. I only needed to see a med assistant. The front desk lady (she also used to work at the Kenmore location) is horrible and rude. She refuses to answer questions and is generally an unpleasant person. You have soooo many better options around. Spend your hard earned money somewhere they value your time and health.

This is an AWESOME CLINIC!!! Very clean and homey feeling.
When I walked in, the girl at the desk immediately greeted me and was very friendly and welcoming. The waiting area is a bit outdated but very clean, with lots of magazines to choose from while waiting.
Although there were two people ahead of me I was able to see the doctor almost immediately. The doctor was great! very knowledgeable, caring, and efficient in getting you in and out without feeling like he was rushing through the appointment/​visit. Everyone I encountered in that office was knowledgeable and friendly, as well as helpful and kind something you don’t find that very often. I feel very fortunate to have this clinic in Shoreline and will continue to come here as my regular clinic. Something that I found extremely helpful as a new patient is to print out the paper work from their website at home to speed up the check in process.

Probably the worst customer service ever. Little did I know that drug screening stops one hour prior to closing. I arrived at the clinic around 5:05 on a Saturday to an empty waiting room. Waited about 30 minutes before someone came out from the back office to tell me that I arrived too late and that I would have to come tomorrow… Should have told me when I walked into the door… These people are lazy, unattentive and unprofressional. I would have never gone here if it wasn’t per my company’s equest.

I would not recommend this urgent care. I recently went this establishment seeking help when injured and received the worst care that I have ever had. The nurse was nice but the doctor greeted me with a cold attitude and treated my injury as if it was below her.. Please don’t go here. Save you money.

I called ahead to confirm their hours, as I needed to get a drug screening test for employment. They told me the hours (8a-​8p), but did not care to mention that they stop doing screenings at 7pm, EVEN THOUGH I SAID I WAS COMING FOR A SCREENING.
Hey, I would like to come in for a screening. What are your hours?
«Eight to eight.»
So, I get there at 6:50pm, since I was driving there from my job in Bellevue. They gave me attitude and did not allow me to make an appointment for the following day, «We don’t do that.» Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a healthcare provider!

Meant to follow up on this after the fact! My bill was about $ 85, which is a scam — and when I went to my normal doc the next day, he listened to my issues and told me I probably had a sinus infection, then prescribed meds. Shocker! I did indeed have a sinus infection! The meds worked! There was absolutely no reason I shouldn’t have been able to get this answer from Careplus. Sigh.

This place is terrible. I was told to come here for L and I. Since the paperwork was done here I cannot switch anywhere else. They are the most unorganized, unprofessional medical place I have ever seen. If you schedule an appointment plan on them not seeing you for 30 – 60 minutes after your appointment. DO NOT COME HERE.

Came in to get a pre employment drug testing. So sloooowwww. Been 30 minutes and I think it’ll be another hour. Since I’ve been here they’ve helped 2 people. Ouch.

Horrible horrible bedside manner. I am writing letters to the AMA, Medical Review Board, and their clinic manager. Their PA-​Cs are in violation of HIPPA laws by leaving medical rooms open when consulting patients, they talk poorly about patients in the hallways (which you can hear in the rooms), nurses start to probe you without explaining what they are doing, sometimes I had to ask for my stats, they left me waiting once for 50mins, and they don’t even examine you. Its very push through system without assessing.
The front office staff for the most part is nice, but there is also some serious attitude behind it if you ask questions. Never ever going to a care plus clinic ever again!
