Edgemere Barber Shop

Got the worst haircut here. I said I wanted a combover and got a haircut so short it couldn’t be styled at all. I also left covered in cut hair. I ended up going home and buzzing my hair myself because of how terrible this haircut was. This was a terrible all around experience.

I’ve had a cut from Paul and Jason, and they were both great. This will be my new spot. I heard about them through Unilocal,and the reviews are good for a reason.
Relaxed and friendly environment, and most importantly of all, awesome haircuts. I will be back, many times.

Super friendly environment. I was in and out in less than an hour, with 2 people ahead of me. Cheap! $ 14 for a really great cut. I wish I found this place 3 years ago.

This is my go-​to barber shop. The guys working here are awesome, very friendly and care about getting your haircut right. I’ve had my hair cut by Jay Paul and Dan, and all 3 do an excellent job. I will continue coming here.

Probably this is my first review in Unilocal.Really wanted to the express the pleasing experience I had over here. Went for an hair cut here for the first time and extremely happy with the outcome. Jason did a great job. And very friendly atmosphere. I liked the vacuum to hair off during and after haircut…:)Definitely don’t miss this place if you think of having an haircut

First time getting my haircut here, and was very happy with my experience, from the super comfortable waiting area, to the quality haircut from Dan I would recommend this barbershop to anyone looking for a good haircut.

Great place for a haircut. Classy, cozy appointments, friendly well trained staff, very reasonable pricing,.could go on and on. As an out of towner, I trusted Unilocal and it was spot on. Too bad I can’t pack this shop up and take it home with me. Any guy that lives around here should strongly consider going here for a top notch cut at a reasonable price.

First of all i must say that Jason And Paul are very friendly guys. I moved to walpole but i m going to there still :)) as you understand i m foreigner but there isnt any language barrier between us. I recommend them strongly.

Best shop around. Jason is leading the league with his haircuts. I haven’t seen a better taper. This shop has something for everyone. Real professionals. Clean ultra friendly environment. These guys are the real deal.

The new guy JB is phenomenal! Top notch barber! My hair tends to be a little difficult to fade and style but he styled it with ease! You can tell that he is a master of his trade! Thank you man!

Look. There is nothing to say bad about the place. I got right in. The price was percect but most importanty my guy was super friendly. Genuinely cared about me and we talked the entire time. Loved it and will come back again. Ny yorker

Went to the younger barber there with a picture of what I wanted, and he just went at it. Held great conversation the whole way through and gave me a nice cut! Definitely will be heading back here when I need my next hair cut, pricing was nice and low too at 14 $

Worth the drive! The guys here are the best. They ask and LISTEN to what you’re after … and will make great suggestions if you’re not sure. Super professional and friendly … Two thumbs up!

Edgemere today. definitely my new spot. Clean place with lots of comfortable leather seating and a comfortable vibe. Hardly any wait and both barbers seemed like stand up dudes. Dan gave me a great clean cut, exactly what I asked for. Great experience and reasonably priced at 14 $

This is the nicest shop you will ever go to. Very clean and Paul and his team of barbers are extremely friendly and professional. Before I was coming here I would bounce around to a couple barbers in the neighborhood. This is the only place I have been to that has a clear understanding of the cut I’m looking for. I tried all the barbers and they all nail’d the cut I wanted the very first time. Thanks guys, you have earned my business every time I need my haircut!

Both Paul and Dan do a fine job at what they do. They give a great hair cut in a nice, clean shop for a great price. Nice skin tight fade $ 14 + tip. Can’t go wrong.

Paul gives consitantly the best men’s haircuts I’ve ever got. A lot of the times, at other places you get one bad cut for every three good ones … but I can honestly say that I haven’t had one bad cut at Edgemere Barber Shop in almost 2 years of going there.
Paul is good at standard, clean good old fashioned American haircuts … I’ve heard many of his customers sit down and say, ‘the usual’ and Paul knows exactly what to do. I like to challenge him with pictures I’ve seen in different magazines, etc. and he always gets it right. He doesn’t mind spending the extra time if you want a more difficult style, or if you want simple, he will have you looking good with a fast cut.
A lot of the time, he offers suggestions I wouldn’t have thought of … and he isn’t scared to tell you when something probably won’t work and offer an alternative. Many of the low priced chain salons will cut your hair however you ask them to, even if they know it will not look good. The part might be off, etc. Paul is a perfectionist and wants every haircut to turn out right.
The atmosphere is great too … the place is immaculately clean, which is important to me. Some of the other barbershops I’ve gone to were very iffy on their sterilization of their instruments and keeping the place clean and hygenic. Paul always keeps the place clean and hygenic. When you think of it, this is an important thing because of all the hair that is cut.
There are comfortable leather couches and chairs and a flat screen tv you can watch and a book/​magazine rack to use while you wait. (which usually isn’t very long) It looks more like a living room or men’s lounge than a low priced barbershop … which is good because anyone who has been to one of those ‘take a number’ chains knows how bad it is to sit and wait in a folding chair with nothing to do.
The value here is exceptional. It is less expensive than most of the chain shops or mall shops … but a similar men’s cut in Manhattan or LA would cost you $ 50 — $ 100. The only thing I don’t like about Edgemere is that they don’t take credit cards and there aren’t too many ATM machines nearby. I would even pay a little extra for a cut if I could use a credit card to pay for it.
Overall, I’ve been coming back to Edgemere Barbershop for years because simply put, its the best haircut for the best value in Massachusetts. And I am very picky about style.
