Patrick Subaru

I had a terrible experience here, from start to finish. When I first contacted them, they were really rude to me on the phone and unable to answer my questions. I decided to visit the showroom in hopes that I just had a negative experience with a single person (after all, the reviews were so good!). I worked with a salesman that seemed okay and I ended up putting a payment down on a 2016 Outback that I was told should be in within 1 – 2 weeks (the timeline was the reason I went with them over another dealership even though their price was a few hundred dollars more for the exact same car). A few days after I made the payment, I get a call saying that the car wouldn’t be in for 6 – 8 weeks. I was annoyed because that timeline was now the same as the other dealership, so I was losing money, but I decided to stick with Patrick. After 4 weeks I gave my salesperson a call to see where things stood. He told me that it would be another 6 – 8 weeks before the car would arrive, and even that he couldn’t guarantee. He didn’t apologize once and kept repeating that he «never makes any promises,» though he was quite confident about the 1 – 2 weeks when he was making the sale. At that point, I got so frustrated by this dealership that I asked for a refund and took my business elsewhere. I’ve never felt so jerked around by a car dealer before. We’ve been a longtime Subaru family, but I ended up switching to a new brand because this was such a bad experience.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a car here. The salesperson who helped me, Mike, was so helpful and patient. He took time to go through everything with me before I drove the car off the lot, installed the accessories I bought and answered all my questions. I will highly recommend Patrick Subaru to friend and family in the future.

After my horrible experience at Metrowest Subaru, I was a little hesitate to try Subaru again. I was encouraged by others that had great experience here. My sales person Steph listened to me, heard what I could afford, gave me options, an excellent experience. Her sales approach was great, I felt totally comfortable the whole time. I recommend Patrick Subaru for a great car buying experience. I can’t wait for my new Forester!

I am a car person, I like cars, I keep up on them, I like to work on them. I walked into Patrick Subaru knowing everything I wanted and didn’t want in my car. I had originally contacted them online to set up an appointment, but was transferred to a different sales person who I got there. I get it, you have one internet person, then customers get handed off to a floor sales person when you get there. It just tough because you think you start to come to an understanding with one person and suddenly you have to start all over again. Anyways, my process was fairly straight forward, I was paying cash, no trade in, and I knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Since I was ordering a car and not taking one from the lot, I was told it would be 6 – 8 weeks. Well, 6 – 8 weeks turned into 12 weeks. I ended up checking New England Subaru inventory regularly and found my car «in transit» well before Patrick let me know it was on its way. When the day came to pick up my car, it was a shockingly smooth process. I have been to a number of dealers where they try to hard sell you on acid rain protection and scotch guard and bunch of other garbage. There was nothing of the sort at Patrick and I really appreciated they didn’t try to hard sell me on anything. At the same time they made all their services options know. Overall, I was happy with my experience, but frustrated by the waiting process.

I don’t buy cars often for the sole reason of:
1. It’s cheaper for me to maintain and keep my cars.
2. No one likes dealing with salesman/​car stealerships!
#1 is pretty strait forward, however I just moved out here for work and decided not to bring my car, thus I needed to purchase one, onward to point #2.
#2 I had the pleasure of dealing with Luke Latham. I would consider him more a friend than a salesman. Luke was not a hard sell, he worked his a** off finding me what I needed and working with me on pricing. I went back n forth between a used Outback and a new Crosstrek and he didn’t seem to mind. In the end I settled on a used Outback which is a great car! He promised me they would clean it up (it was a used car again) and when I came to pick it up it was hard to tell it apart from the new inventory. He was transparent on the pricing and told me exactly what he could do. I visited other dealerships from Subaru, Honda, Toyota, and eventually came back.
Luke went above and beyond, way out of his way to make things as easy as possible for me, especially considering I am from the West Coast. He will respond when you leave him a message and he will help you find anything from a mechanic, restaurants, to real estate!

I attempted to purchase a new Subaru Outback there recently. The sales manager didn’t seem to want to sell me a car. They wouldn’t look at my trade in because it was raining and said it would be impossible to complete a deal on that afternoon. Not sure why they could not have driven it inside the service department to look at it. I truly felt like I was bothering them. I went to a different dealer that same day in Webster and bought a new Outback.

Not one to visit a dealership unless looking for OEM accessories, I recently dealt with the parts department here. I started my order online, but living so close I didn’t want to pay shipping. So I decided to stop down to see what they could do for me.
I dealt with Jeff and he was awesome. He even said they’d match any online price and I wouldn’t have to pay shipping if I didn’t mind picking up from the dealership.
Thanks to Jeff and his great service I was able to save hundreds of dollars. And most of the parts were in stock so I can get a jump on my rebuild! Will definitely be dealing with these guys again in the future.

Purchased my 2013 wrx here two years ago. The service was good and the staff was very friendly. The only reason why I have them 4 instead of 5 stars was because I felt like I was forced to buy an extended warranty (and it was annoying). Other than that, I would say the service was pretty good.

The salesperson did a great job of not pressuring us, and the paperwork was over shortly. Everything was transparent. We are very happy with our experience at Patrick Subaru. Thank you Nate.

I was interested in a used Legacy. The salesman was super nice, calm (no pressure) and helpful. We went on a test drive– again, everything was fine. Next I asked a simple question about the price. That’s when it went downhill, FAST. The salesman brought over the «sales manager», an arrogant, condescending jerk. He refused to tell me a price. He basically told me when I was done with «my little test drives», and I finally decided to come back, then, and only then would he give me a price. There are plenty of car dealers in the area– I don’t need to be treated this way. I went to a different dealer and bought another car within an hour.

I bought a car from here two weeks ago, and the myriad of issues I faced were mind-​blowing. To start, when I bought the car I too pictures of the whole thing. The following week when I went to pick it up, there was a dent in the side door to which I brought to the saleswomans attention. The response I got was something to the affect of «it’s a used car, that’s what happens.» Afterwards, we went to get the car registered. Apparently, the state registration site was down. I checked myself to see what was going on, and it said that there was «scheduled maintenance.» You would think of the RMV registration site was under «scheduled» maintenance, the dealership would bring it to customers attention and NOT schedule to have the car registered for that same day. I couldn’t walk out with my car that day and had to take a rental. The dealership was suppose to pay for the rental, though I had to use my own card as the dealership had already closed and a representative could not come down. It’s been two weeks and I still have not had the deposit credited back into my account, a charge of $ 150.00. They even told me this evening that they would «investigate the matter.» The whole process was a joke. If I could give them a negative I would. Forgot to mention, while I was there, a few of the salesmen nearly got in a physical altercation with one another. Morons. BBB also got a call from me.

This may be the best experience that I have ever had buying a car & I owe that to the salesmen & finance department at Patrick Subaru.

Just picked up our new Subaru. From our first visit with Keith in Sales to delivery this evening, this was a seamless and pleasant experience. No nonsense… no obfuscation… no surprises. .just a straightforward car buying experience. (How often can we expect that from car dealers?) We obtained a good price for exactly the model we wanted. Keith delivered just that and with no «up selling «for options we didn’t need.
We had visited several other dealers but were disappointed with their hard sell tactics, especially one place – reviewed separately – where my wife was told by the sales manager to leave the showroom after she’d asked about a car they’d advertised. (Incidentally, isn’t it pathetic that in this day and age she was treated badly IMHO because of her race and the fact that she’s a woman? If I’d been there to witness that the sales manager would have been the one leaving the lot. But I digress!)
Back to Patrick: if you’re looking at Subarus, go to this place. You’ll be treated well and they’ll give you a good deal on a great car. ;)

My husband and I just bought a new Crosstrek Hybrid from Patrick and absolutely could not be happier with the experience that we had (and with our new car)!
We were helped by Joe D. throughout the process which began a few months ago when we first started looking to purchase a car. From day one, he was never pushy, and was actually quite the opposite. He was super down to earth and told us exactly what we needed to know about the ins and outs of the car and the options that we could get, all without trying to up-​sell us things that we didn’t need. Todd helped us to track down the car that was everything we were hoping for and got it for us in plenty of time (we were in a bit of a time crunch). Both he and Joe D. were extremely helpful and responsive when we called with lots of questions.
The end result is us having the perfect car and a great loyalty to this company. It’s so hard to trust car dealerships, and now that we’ve worked with Patrick, we know that an honest car dealership actually exists!

Great service, no BS. These guys are very helpful and make buying a car less than an ordeal.
Nate helped my wife and I purchase a safe reliable used car. He didn’t try to up sell us or put us in something we didn’t want.
When my Ford dies, and that day is coming like a freight train, I think I may head back over to Patrick’s to see what they have in stock.

My wife and her family had been buying cars from Patrick Subaru for years and when the time came for me to get a new one I did not look anywhere else. I bought a 2014 Subaru Forester and am totally in love with it. Six speed manual, rear view camera, headed seats/​mirrors/​windows and a spacious cargo that was built with love.
My experience with Mike, our dealer was excellent. He not only give us a great deal without us having to negotiate, he walked me through the ins and outs of the car after the sale and got my smartphone hooked up to the car’s Blue Tooth! Totally awesome.
The other good thing is that they had the exact color I was looking for in stock the day I walked in. I will be their customer for years to come.
