Sutra Brow & Lash Bar

This was not my first time getting lashes but my 1^st time to this place, I tried them on a whim based off there $ 49 3-​D volume lash special. I had an appointment Friday at 1pm with Nicole… she is the absolute best when it comes to lashes. She was very friendly, clean and prompt… her attention to detail is amazing. The store was not stocked with the proper lash promotion they offered she did her best with what she had and made it work. She explained the care/​maintenance and said the reception will give me a paper in detail (that never happened) I’ll definitely be back to see her again! She gets 5 STARS!
Reception never asked if it was my first time I didn’t fill out any paperwork. I was not given care instructions any of my services. Nor did I get offered before and after photos. (These steps were all done for other clients as I watched from the threading chair) but she did offer me water or herbal tea.
With my lashes I received complimentary tinting and threading. It was my first time. It was rushed. I explained I wanted my eyebrows even but she did her own thing. When it came to tinting she never explained the different colors of tint offered or how long it would take. So happy they came out okay. The woman never explained how to care for them she just sent me on my way. Needless to say she didn’t get tipped.
Overall as long as Nicole is there I will definitely go back for lashes. And I’ll pass on the brows.

I have been going here since June. Really liked my girl Lauren. Well, I made and appointment 3 weeks out. I get a call a couple days before my scheduled appointment and was told that Lauren was no longer with the salon, and I needed to be rescheduled. The appointment was made almost a week later. I explained to the girl that I was having surgery that week. Wasn’t sure if I’d have any pre-​op tests that day. She said no problem. So I get a call the night before my Eyelash appointment that in fact I do have to see the Doctor. I called to reschedule my eyelashes and was informed that there would be a 50% up charge. I explained that they canceled me first, and that I informed them if pending Doctor appointments and was told it was not going to be an issue. Well, it was! This is the Second time a receptionist was extremely rude over the phone. I will be finding another salon! It’s eyelashes! They acted like they were the only salon around! Well, very disappointed. I like to give to local businesses! Apparently they don’t care!

After a bad wax at another location Maha worked her magic and brought my brows back to life. I will never go anywhere else for brows after finding this little gem. It’s so relaxing… good tunes… great vibe and professional staff. Love me some sutra!

I get my lashes done infrequently (usually just for special occasions like weddings), and have always gone to Sutra. The girls here do a fabulous job. They are very gentle, and my lashes are always natural looking and light, and they always last a long time. I recently was in a wedding party in which all the bridesmaids had their lashes done at another place. Immediately my lashes hurt — they were very heavy and uncomfortable. Also, it seemed like it was causing a lot of my natural lashes to fall out, which was very concerning to me. Within a couple of weeks, they looked mangled and matted, and I went back to Sutra to see if they could assist even thought they had not applied the uncomfortable lashes. As usual, the girls here were fantastic. They removed the bad lashes and immediately my eyes felt so much better. They applied a light set for me until my natural lashes grow in a little more, and again they are lightweight, beautiful and natural looking. The girls here are so nice and do such a great job. Please don’t go anywhere else for lashes. Sutra is the best place in the area!

I came here based on the Unilocal reviews. Used to thread at the mall at Shapes– never again. Not after experiencing Maha’s magic. She did a wonderful job shaping my rather unique (challenging) eyebrows and also convinced me to dye them. The result was great!
I come here all the time now and won’t try any other place.

Very happy with my lash extensions! The process was fairly quick and thoroughly explained to me step by step. I was uneasy about how they would look, but the end result is exactly what I was hoping for! Will definitely be back… great service, knowledgable and efficient.

Love Sutra. Definitely a different experience from the mall brow threading places. You feel like your getting that personal attention… Just like going to your hair technician or manicurist. Ok well I tried to make a last minute appointment with Arti but unfortunately she was not in at the time (love her)… Anyway after reading several reviews about Q I asked for him. I was very happy that I did listen to the other reviews! He is awesome, definitely has an upbeat vibe and he has a great eye for the brows! He tainted my eyebrows and threaded them. Excellent job! I would recommend him no doubt. I am very happy to know that I have found two terrific brow technicians at the same place!!!

Fast, efficient, and well done! Couldn’t ask for a better experience.
$ 20 for eyebrow shaping and it was done in under 10 minutes. SUCH a difference for my face! Will definitely be back every time I am in Belmar.
No skin pinching, no bleeding, and they wiped my face with lavender essential oil before leaving.

This place is great, the people that work there are so nice and friendly. I will never go back to waxing ever again, threading is painless and does not leave me red and pull my skin off. I have very sensitive skin so I was skeptical at first but I always leave there with no red blotches and will always go there for my eyebrows!!!

Probably a great place for brows but NOT for lashes.
I’ve been getting eyelash extensions for over 3 years, mainly in NYC ($ 55 for 60 lashes exc tip, each eye so nowhere expensive) but wanted a local option.
Was crossing my fingers that Sutra would be halfway decent so I would not have to trek into the city every month.
First of all this place charges $ 200 for lash extensions … They were kind enough to offer a new client special at $ 99. I could live with that.
They poked, they prodded (my forehead and cheeks should not be used as leverage for your fingers!!!), technician A started the procedure then when technician B came in, switched places, technician B kept gluing my lashes to my lids and then prying them off causing me to cry and wince in pain a few times, so then technician A came back to fix the damage. And technician A put me on hold to talk to someone about a check that was not cashed over the phone for 3 – 4 minutes. Very unprofessional…
In conclusion… Lashes were not even… And worse the lashes were not gradual but very clumpy. Like 5 lashes then what looked like a bald spot on my lid… then more lashes, too much glue on lashes which caused my hair and random dust particles to stick/​collect. Overall, very disappointed.
I am a big proponent of small businesses so was going to bite my tongue and not write a review (which is why I forgot technician A and B’s names) if it hadn’t been for yet another rogue eyelash that flipped into my eye and WOKE me up at this late hour!!! It’s like the never ending bad lash story…

I have challenging eyebrows and love the way Maha does them. She is awesome and everyone is really nice. Love going there and I travel 30 minutes but it’s definitely worth it!

Having your eyebrows and eye lashes done by this team completely transforms and highlights your face. Love their work! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Maha did an amazing job with my brows I usually don’t trust anybody to do my eyebrows but the way she did it was perfect with the shape and color that I always wanted that nobody could ever get! When I went to Sutra I was very happy, the place is amazing with very nice décor and wonderful music, very nice welcoming people. I will go for Maha every 3 weeks like she advised me to keep the shape. Thank you for Maha. I am so happy A++++

This place is super clean, the people are very nice, and my brows look incredible!
This was my first time getting my brows threaded. Arti, the woman who did my brows, was really sweet. My brows were shaped in minutes and she even applied rose balm afterwards to soothe the redness. I highly recommend this brow bar!

Really nice place! Smells great and is clean. Didn’t have an appointment, explained we’re from out of town and they squeezed us in. Very professional and threading is done well. Highly recommend!

Gina does my lashes and she does a fabulous job. I don’t know how I live before without eyelashes. Maja threads my eye brows and my daughters as well and she is very sweet and my daughter (who is 11) loves her. She makes sure she is comfortable and gives her little breaks since she is little. I also get my eyebrows tinted and having that and lashes is like waking up with make up on. I totally recommend this place. Clean! Welcoming! Great people and very personal service.

Eyebrow service was good but facial was not.

Sutra is such a nicely decorated comfortable shop. Q is an Evebrow god. I love him! And we always have the best convos! Love the eyebrow massages– the services here are worth every cent. If you haven’t tried Sutra Eyebrow Bar, you havent lived.

I went again recently to try the lash extensions with Brandy. I’ve only gotten my eyebrows threaded there until now. My lashes look beautiful! Brandy did an excellent job, and they look so natural. They have the best prices in the area and the best people working there. Will definitely be back

I only review a business if it is terrible or in this case, is exceptional. I just had an organic facial. As someone who has experienced many spas, Sutra is top notch. The girls are fantastic at what they do, and you will be leaving feeling refreshed
