History

Established in 1997.

GreatStone Castle, originally named Whitby Place, was built in 1895 by William Henry Collier Goode as his family’s home. It remained as such until 1973. The Way International used the mansion for 15 years as their fine arts and historical center. It was then purchased and turned into a Bed and Breakfast by Ray and Alma Willis. Since 1994 Frederick and Victoria Keller have made GreatStone Castle Bed and Breakfast (on the National Register of Historic Places) their home. In 1999 they opened The Spa at GreatStone, offering both overnight and day guests the finest of spa services, in a welcoming atmosphere. The owners are especially proud of the fact that over 95% of guest respondents have said that they would recommend GreatStone Castle Bed and Breakfast to a friend!
