I went to make my color and it turn out great. Super recomended and will definetly come back.

Thought I’d update my review since it has been a year… Still very happy with Dennis & just love his Starbucks Verismo machine … I can get my Starbucks fix while my color processes. Whoo Hoo! Can life get any better? Oh then add in Zero & Frankenweenie, the two salon guard dog Chihuahuas & it’s a totally fun experience.

I have moved back to SoCal from Chicago but was still using my stylist is Chicago because I was too comfortable but I really needed to move on, so I searched on Unilocal for five star stylist and came accross Dennis at hair haven. He is awesome, he listens to what you want, doesn’t pressure you to do anything else, and he does an amazing job. My highlights were even, the perfect
Color everyone is complimenting me. His salon is in the middle of an industrial area so very easy to pass but worth it if you stop in. He is closed Sundays and Mondays FYI.

I found this place through Groupon. I wanted to donate my hair to Locks of Love. Dennis took his time to make sure that my hair was done properly that I can send it to them. I was pleased with the outcome of my hair cut. It is a great look on me and I have been getting nothing but complements. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new hair stylist. I will be definitely going back to him in the future.

I don’t always know what I want to do with my had, so I try to warn the stylist about my short comings. Dennis trudged forth unafraid. I gave him vagaries with which to work and he gave me shape and form I then had to learn to work for. Thank you Dennis! It was exhilarating, exciting and educational all at once.

Dennis is great. I’m African American with thick hair and I was pleasantly surprised at how well Dennis got my hair straight. I went there for a Keratin treatment which turned out beautiful. I had compliments galore. I’m returning to him to get another Keratin treatment. He also impressed me by having really great products on hand he offers for purchase. In addition, he is friendly, professional and he takes his time.

Dennis has been doing me for years! The hair cuts aren’t bad either! LOL! Not only does he do cut and color, but his blow dries are incredible! Like others who have reviewed Haven, I have followed him from place to place and will do so as long as I have hair.

Dennis and Ruby are very talented and caring stylists, they both do a great job with color, cutting and style. Being a stylist myself I’m very picky with my hair. I highly recommend Dennis and also Ruby if you can catch her when she’s in town.

Love me some Dennis! He’s the sweetest, most talented hair stylist in town. Not only has he worked magic on my hair, he offers me free psychology sessions while I’m in his chair. His prices are better than anyone’s and you will feel like a super model when you leave his salon. The salon itself is an adorable, intimate space, devoid of any pretentious or intimidating hair stylist types. You will love Haven Hair Design! Five Stars!!!

Salon is quaint and salon owner is the Oprah of hair! He’s a great stylist and can cut men, women & childrens hair. Also another secret talent is hair extensions! If your in town and need a great stylist/​colorist, Haven Hair Design is the place to be!

I’ve followed this guy everywhere — he does a great job. Now he’s got his own shop and it’s very personable with a zen attitude. ~ love it ~ He does my color, my cuts — he’s even done extensions for me and they were beautiful! He kept the maintenance up on them for me until my own hair was long enough to wear — he was great.
I haven’t always been good to my hair but after leaving his shop you’d never know!
I walk out with healthy looking hair every time — he’s awesome. Dennis is really good at listening to what you’re really asking for too. I’ve had some bad results before with cut-​happy stylists or ending up looking like I have a helmet on my head but Dennis pays attention and will talk it through with you if you want. I’ve been loyal to him for years now for all of these reasons. He’s really flexible too — always working with my schedule and making time for me — it’s the small, personal things like that, that mean a lot and make a big difference.

Fancy styles for a great price! Great customer service as well… Dennis is very flexible & understanding of busy schedules.
