Normally I really like this place the cakes are delicious. Today I am so disappointed. We ordered a cake and waited way after the time we said we’d like it ready. I came to pick it up and it wasn’t even done. To top it off they said it’s going to be at least another 20 minutes for them to put it together. Since we are on a tight time line 20 minutes was not acceptable. They basically said you can either wait 20 minutes or we can give you a refund not good customer service.

What a delightful surprise! An industrial park bakery! And they had King Cakes for Mardi Gras – a truly rare find in the L.A. area. The people were nice and I’m not sure why baked goods are so expensive nowadays, but I will definitely come back here.

I ordered a gender reveal cake and specifically said I want a plain white cake with ‘boy or girl?’ Written on the top. The lady who took my order said «would you like it written in green?», I said «no, black» and she snickered. I thought that was unnecessary and rude. When I picked it up it had flowers and glitter and a ribbon on it which I didn’t ask for. I told the lady and she said she could have it fixed but it would take an hr. I called the manager and spoke with Dave. He kept saying he didn’t understand my dilemma. I told him AGAIN what had happened and that I should get a discount for the inconvenience. The 6 inch cake was originally $ 28.90 and I ended up paying $ 25.90. Wow, thanks for the $ 3.00 off. Not coming back.

I come here from time to time to get my sugar fix. Customer service is pretty good and they have some affordable desserts.

Best ever place for cakes. They can make anything and their cakes are delicious too. I bought my wedding cake here and buy all birthday, anniversary cakes here too. The staff/​owner are great and they can create anything you ask of them. Most importantly their cakes are sheer perfection. These days anyone can create artistic cakes but Rossmoor Pastries are the best at it. Their finished product has no match. I am usually critical of vendors but I have nothing to say negative about these guys. You won’t ever regret a cake from them!

My husband and I went with this bakery for our wedding cake and we were not disappointed!
We first heard about them from the Wedding Show Weekend event in late Feb 2015 that was held at Brookside Golf Club (which was also our wedding venue). We tried the cakes samples they had at the event and it was love at first bite! We tried a white cake flavor and it was very moist. Not too sweet either. I also heard great things about this bakery from a wedding coordinator friend who used to live in the LB area.
Rossmoor was one of Brookside’s preferred vendors so I was able to choose between them and 3 or 4 other bakeries as a part of my package. We made an appointment with their wedding cake shop for a cake tasting. They were the last of the vendors we needed to try before making a decision. We arrived a few mins early for our appointment but were greeted with a smile. We met with Mackra and worked with her directly til the very end. She was friendly and patient/​receptive to the ideas I wanted to show her from Pinterest. She also offered her advice and a few suggestions from the cake design binder they had. We tried the max amount of flavors they would allow and decided to book with them on the spot. Their unique flavor and filling combinations were exactly what my husband and I were looking for.
We ended up going with the Cali Sunset and the Chocolate Dream cakes, alternating tiers, with white butter cream. We had to pay a little extra for one of the flavors because it was premium filling that wasn’t included in our package with Brookside. But, it wasn’t that much.
Additionally, we had a custom cake topper that was very fragile. I have friends in the wedding and catering business so I’ve heard horror stories of cake toppers getting broken or mishandled. Needless to say, I was very worried and hesitant to hand it over to them before the wedding. But, the staff handled the cake topper with care and it was arrived safe & sound, resting on top of our cake the day-​of (without a scratch)!
They delivered the cake a little earlier than promised too. I know, because the deliverymen arrived on site around the same time my bridesmaids and I arrived.
I was actually able to eat the cake on our wedding day and it was light, moist, and just as tasty as I remembered. In true wedding tradition, we are freezing our cake to eat for our 1 year anniversary and I actually cannot wait. :)
In summary, I am a satisfied customer/​bride because of their timely service, friendly staff that handled my topper with care, and most of all, their yummy cakes!

I had an amazing experience here for my wedding cake. They were so kind and patient, and the owner even came out and helped me personally. I was very pleased that everything came out exactly how I asked for it and the cake was so tasty!!! It was beautiful and yummy, I couldn’t have asked for more! First time here. Great first impression even before I walked in. I parked my car and was immediedately greeted by the smell of freshly baked sweets. I walked in and saw a lot of pretty goodies and my mouth watered. The cupcakes are very good. I tried the Dulce de Leche and the Strawberry Bliss. Will come back for more.

Absolutely amazing cakes. I got the assorted fruit cheesecake and it was piled to the top with so much fruit! The cheesecake was itself was delicious. I also got chocolate chip cookies and a bacon maple donut. The cookies are soft, larger than norm, with just right amount chocolate chunks. The donut was alright, but paled in comparison to the rest of the food I got.
There were two other customers there at the time, together. One placed an order while the other blocked the display cases, delaying service for other customers.

Fantastic! I’ve ordered 3 cakes from Rossmoor. Two were custom jobs, the other one of their standard designs. All three times, I was very impressed with the job they did.
THE ACTUAL CAKE/​FILLING: One of the reasons why I like Rossmoor is that you not only get a pretty/​well decorated cake, you also get a good cake. I’m a cake person and I care more about the quality of the cake then the actual design. Their cake is really good. Its firm (it has to be to stand up to the designs), but still moist and flavorful. I’ve had the chocolate cake and the marble and recommend both. And the filling is yummy. Its not too sweet, nice and smooth. I’ve had the strawberry and the mocha buttercream, which were right on point.
DECORATION: I’ve ordered 2 customs cakes from the bakery and they did a spectacular job on both. The first was a map of the US and route 66 connecting the East and West Coast. The details was fantastic. They had the different landscapes of the country on the cake.
The second cake, I ordered just recently. They made a cake in the shape of the Death Star from Star Wars. It was amazing! The detail, the color. I’m posting a picture to the Unilocal page as soon as I finish this review.
The bakery is a wonderful place. The people there are so friendly and helpful and they’ve done a fantastic job with the cakes I’ve ordered from them.

I’m very upset as I’m walking out of this place. I’ve been a costumer before and this is the first time I experience such bad service my mom and I were standing for good 10 minutes nobody seemed to care if we were being helped! And we walked towards them a few times. I noticed there were employees not doing anything how can they not help out people that are wondering? Until one lady finally asked if we were being helped l, after I said yes, she rolled her eyes as if she was annoyed we actually needed help. My mom told me she felt discriminated because we were the only Hispanics and seem to be bothering them. Not doing business here ever again!
My boyfriends family usually buys cakes here all the time, around 2 – 3 times a year for birthdays. I will be sharing my experience so they can take a note. Disappointed!

Arguably the best pastry place in Long Beach! This place is so clean and professional that they take pride of what they baked. If you like fancy pastries, this is your spot! My girlfriend and I went here cause she’s been craving for something sweet. We went in and the ambiance is great! People are smiling and workers actually like working in here. We bought their marble cakes and it was full of flavor the moment you bite into it. They have donuts and French pastries as well. They are known for their cakes cause it is just damn good. It is rare to have a cake that have fancy decorations and taste amazingly good; they have it! We tried their cupcakes and it taste like what it looks; it was awesome! Their cupcakes have fillings on the inside and it is juicy. You can taste the flavor in every bite, literally. Cookies N Cream and Red Velvet cupcakes are the way to go :) The price is quite affordable for a fancy bakery. I will definitely comeback; soooo worthiet :)

Great bakery! Everything here is delicious! We usually get bday cakes here. In case you don’t order in advance theres always cakes ready for purchase.
Cookies, eclairs, mini cupcakes, cake slices are all really good too.

I ran into Rossmoor the other day because I needed a last minute cake for my brother’s 21^st birthday.
KATIE helped me out and showed me some cakes they could make and she was really helpful! they made the cake so beautifully and I’m so happy about it! I’m sure my brother is going to love it too!
KIRK also helped me out and his customer service is the best!
because of KATIE & KIRK and their great customer service… I’d definitely go back to Rossmoor (and of course for the baked goods).

Their cakes were not too sweet I’m not sure wgat happened… I’m sitting here with my coconut cake 5.10 a piece feel like pouring pure sugar with coconut smell into my mouth.
And they’re not cheap either…

After my trip to the doctor’s over at Healthcare partners, I felt lile getting pastry and coffee for breakfast. My initial thought was Starbucks down the street but I decided to be a little adventurous and found this place. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by a really nice guy that asked me what I was looking for. On the looks of the place, I had an impression that it’s a mom and pop’s place, not a fancy café so there’s nothing too amazing about the place itself but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. They do have a small outdoor patio which I made use of as I ate my hula mini with some black coffee. I also got a raspberry cheesecake bite and a raspberry mini to go.
The hula is their best seller cupcake according to the guy helping me and it was pretty good. Although good, it wasnt perfect as much of everything else in life lol. My thing about it is that I couldnt taste the individual ingredients at all and everything almost tasted the same. Even the promised filling didn’t have a flavor that stood out all to well. Great flavor yes and good cake yes but I felt like it was a bit inconsistent from what you would expect (certainly didnt not have a tart kick to it for something with pineapple and lemon). The butter cream icing, which was covered in white chocolate shell, was too much of a butter consistency for me that I had to scrape off half of it. That’s a personal preference of mine though as I prefer the cake part more than icing in any cake.
Although not necessarily the best cake out there, I thought it was much better than average and certainly one of the best in the Long Beach area. I appreciate how each cake is individually made by the people in store and you can immediately tell with one small bite. I would definitely be back if ever I feel the craving for cake and I look forward to trying their canolis as well!

This is a review for the customer service experience with the cake consultant I was asked to email:
I called the bakery, looking forward to having a Baby Shower cake made here after reading and hearing from family about how delicious and beautiful everything is. I was greeted by a lovely girl on the phone who was excited to forward me over to the cake consultant (sales rep?). She asked me to send Erika an email with all of the details and pictures of inspiration cakes. So I sent Erika a detailed email with all of the things I was looking for and asked for advisement.
She sent me a curt email back, not even addressing me by name, and rattled off a $ 600 quote for a cake for 30 people, no discussion, no consultation offered. My wedding cake wasn’t even this expensive! I was shocked and disappointed at the lack of customer care. I would have been happy to engage in a discussion to get something within our budget, but was so put off by this interaction that I couldn’t even respond.
I ended up going to Sweet and Saucy (where I thought they’d be more expensive) and got what I wanted for less than half of what Rossmoor was offering. I, unfortunately, will not be a customer here now or ever.

Our wedding cake was delicious! Great package by The Grand we worked with Sara and everything was beautiful. Love Rossmoor and we shall return. My husband and I got to keep the top tier. I recommend the Marble cake with dulce de Leche! By far is was light and delicious.

Great place to get your wedding cake if you’re an easygoing person with an open mind and limited preconceived notions going in! (If you’re bustling with creativity and want a crazy custom design, you just might be in luck too, but I can’t speak for that circumstance.)
I had the pleasure of coming in with my friends for their wedding cake tasting, and I could tell this was a factory with lots of experience. There were 4 or 5 other groups doing tastings at the same time, and each sales representative clearly knew their stuff and was very organized and experienced. The one thing I didn’t like was that it felt kind of impersonal, really factory-​like as I said, without a ton of personal warmth and flair. However, this might be okay! This might not matter to you at all! We were able to go in with minimal ideas about what the cake should look like, so we flipped through a book of numerous available designs and were able to select something nice quite quickly. We tasted 6+ selections (loved the almond cake with raspberry jam and the white cake with triple berry) and they were pretty good overall, probably something for everyone. We got to choose three flavors for the various tiers. The lady who worked with us was very nice, businesslike, and efficient. It wasn’t the most relaxed or fun or heartwarming thing I’ve done, but we got our goals accomplished, and sometimes that’s all you need!
The cake arrived on time for the wedding and was beautiful (see attached picture with my friends’ adorable lovebird cake topper). The piping was gorgeous. The cake was quite tasty but I was sad that we didn’t get to choose which flavor to eat; I think that’s a ding on the catering staff rather than the bakery, though. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this bakery!

My wife is addicted to the petit fours. Every time we are in Long Beach we always have to stop here.
The mini cupcakes are amazing and so are the mini cakes, they’re also adorable.
The black and white cookie is a must try as well.
