This place is AWESOME! My car was backed into in a parking lot, and I was referred to Sunset Collision Center. They performed an estimate and because my vehicle was still in working condition they advised me to bring the car back in when the parts arrived. The parts arrived promptly and I was contacted so that they could begin working to repair the damage. A job that would have normally taken at least a week only took three days. I was provided with a rental and when I went to retrieve my vehicle it looked brand new (paint job and everything). They even washed my car and cleaned the inside as well. I am completely satisfied with their diligence, honesty (which is rare in this business) and their willingness to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. Thank you Sara and Herbert, you guys are outstanding!!!

This is a great shop. I’ve taken my car here twice. Once I paid for out of pocket. Repairs were made very quickly and they stood behind all their work. This most recent time was after an accident to my front end. They worked directly with my insurance company (USAA), updated me twice a week, car was done a couple of days early, and looks brand new. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for honesty, great work, and a good price.

Great shop, highly recommend. Took my wife’s van in and they did an incredible job, they blended the paint in perfectly, the matched up the panel very well. And to top it off, they competed the work in almost half the time promised. I have no hesitation sending people to Sunset Collision. Top notch.

Before you take your vehicle here, take a look at my pictures, and the conditions of the shop; really clean and professional, huh? HA! Fighting with insurance company as we speak! Im not ok with the entire disassembly of my truck IOT be put on a new frame that will not arrive for a min. Of 10 weeks! Truck is in pieces all over the place, mixed in with other vehicle parts! Really? And, they are going to reassemble the truck back to factory spec?! Yea right, go home, you’re drunk, literally! Haha. Modelo case in the shop trash can, and all!!!

This is the second time I had them fix my car (2 separate accidents). I had a great experience with this business both times. The car looks good as new!
I most recently brought my car here after someone hit the back passenger door. The process was extremely easy and the claim was filed quickly. Dennis was great to work with! The front desk receptionist is so nice and always greeted me with a smile. They did an excellent job fixing the car!

I got into a bad accident the other day, but my car was still drivable. I just needed a shop to take off some parts and make it so the wheel wasn’t obstructed by broken metal. The first place I took it to wouldn’t do it because of liability issues, but sunset did it for me really fast and I was very pleased. They were super friendly and did it as a courtesy too! I’m really grateful because I can drive home to my family now and get it sorted out unstressed.

I have been to Sunset Collision Center at least half a dozen times and was even at them years and years ago when they were inside Long Beach BMW. I rarely take the time to review a company, but they just went above and beyond with my last repair (a large SUV backed into my BMW Z3 Roadster). These guys make sure the job is done right and they will go to battle with your insurance company (if needed) to make sure that the time is taken to get the job perfect. My background is I am a CPA and also a Certified Fraud Specialist so to say I am meticulous is an understatement. If you want the job done right I would go nowhere else than Sunset Collision Center.
Just a quick note to others based upon some comments I have seen. If insurance is paying for the repair (excluding your deductable), there is no reason to take your vehicle to multiple repair shops for quotes. Every time I just took my vehicle to Sunset Collision Center and dropped it off with them after calling my insurance company to file a claim. With just a claim number and my insurance info, they handled the rest and all I was responsible for was my deductable.

Had a great experience here! Got a quick quote, price wasn’t bad so I decided to fix my car here and it came out better then new! Beautiful place and great customer service. I spoke to the owner Vincent and he told me himself he makes sure every vehicle comes out perfect. I would defiantly recommend this place to a friend and would absolutely come back!

I have had my car at Sunset Collision twice and they have been very helpful both times. The staff is great in terms of getting you a quote quickly and doing the job as quickly as they can without compromising the quality.
They are so nice last time I left they called me a couple of minutes after I left since they saw that one of my break lights were out and asked me to come back and they fixed my break light for free. How nice is that!

WOW!!! It is never a fun time taking your car into a body shop after an accident, but Sunset Collision Center made it easy!
I have a 2012 128i BMW convertible that an elderly woman smashed the passenger side of when she lost control of her vehicle.
Herbert was very kind and took his time to explain the process of bringing my car back to life :) He welcomed me to go to the shop with him when I asked if he could show me my car. I really appreciated seeing the progress. The owner Vincent is very present in his place of business. He greets customers with a big smile and treats everyone with respect. As a woman, I am always hesitant to go to anywhere having to do with cars as I feel like sometimes women are taken advantage of at these places, but SUNSET COLLISION CENTER WAS GREAT!!!
I hope you read this review and take a look at my before/​after picture to see the quality of work this shop is about. Don’t read reviews having to do with B2B situations. This place is ALL ABOUT THE CUSTOMER and they STAND BEHIND ALL THE WORK THAT COMES OUT OF THIS SHOP! I will never go anywhere else but SUNSET COLLISION CENTER, but hopefully no one else will run into my car again :)

Looks like this place has had a turnaround since 2007. The staff was helpful with the free estimate and explaining each item thoroughly. Unfortunately, I cannot give them five stars yet as I’m still checking out other body shops for estimates.
But estimate wise, they were great! Make sure to ask for a quote based upon having your insurance company paying for service.

I’ve had my car fixed here a few times and a few of my family members have brought their cars here too. Price is always the best I can find and the speed of the repair is always up to par.
I see the bad reviews that the place has gotten, but considering the length of time this place has been here and not to mention the colorful language and poor attitudes of the complaining reviewers, 6 complaints in like 15 years of business isn’t bad.
Bottom line, I’ve brought my cars here 3 times and chose to pay cash so I didn’t have to risk my insurance rate going up. Each time the price was more than fair and I was happy with the work.

I’ve had my car repaired two times at Sunset Collision center. Both times I’ve had great service. Prompt repair. I’d use them again. I hope I don’t have do.

I have taken my BMW 325i into this body shop/​collision center 3 times and every time I have been treated with amazing courtesy. They have done impeccable work on my car and it’s always turned out beautifully.
This is the only auto body shop that my family will deal with– and we have had Jaguars, Hondas, Mini-​Coopers, and collectiable sports cars.
I know that between just the 4 cars I listed, we have been in there about 10+ times. (thank you crazy drivers who manage to hit us despite us parking in spots where no one else is parking.). Every time, the staff has done an amazing job including an almost rebuild on a Honda when a drunk driver played pinball coming down a street hitting multiple cars as he drove down the street.
I can’t say enough great things about them. I am writing this as I have to take my car back in again because someone rear-​ended me in LA despite me being at a dead stop at a signal. (go figure)

I have used this shop twice, it is preferred by my insurance. I had trouble with them arranging my rental car once, but everyone makes mistakes. This time I took my car into the shop before the week before Thanks giving. I was told by their manager that they couldn’t get the bumper Thanksgiving week as it was short week, but it should be in the next week. Signed my papers, insurance was fine. So I waited and waited and still no call that the parts came in. So I call the first week of December and they don’t know who I am nor remember ordering the part. I am a business person so driving around clients in a wrecked car is not a very professional way to appear. I am going back to my insurance and getting a new company. I was right to be concerned after reading the previous reviews.
Just talked to my insurance and Sunset ALREADY has the check payment from my insurance company! Almost 1 month ago! Needlesss to say I am changing shops, my insurance company is cancelling the check and a complaint has been registered with the insurance company.
Insurance companies and dealers recommend companies for various reasons, but if they are recommending companies with poor reviews (I have only written 2 in my life) — take heed. The company referring should be informed as well.

Had my 2008 C300 Mercedes bumper replaced. Had my 2008 BMW 135i vert right rear fender repaired and paint blended in addition to my right rear tire repainted /​resurfaced. Had my 2011 BMW 535i m-​tech rear bumper replaced. All quick 3 day turn arounds. Shuttle back n forth if needed. Jose was on top of thing and always took care of each situation. Hubert was very good as well when I needed to get stuff out of my car or needed a shuttle. Friendly and timely. They have many high end cars there but also luxury to economy cars. Excellent guys and shop. Will recommend and use again and again.
Do not go to European Certified Collision Center (Mckenna) in Norwalk. Took Porsche cayenne there and they are 3 days late for a bumper, tire resurface and tailpipe aligning. They had the car for 14 days already. Only took it here because Porsche dealer recommended it… big mistake.

I had the most frustrating experience with this company that will end up costing me over $ 2000.
My car was towed to this place after an accident, and the salesperson, Gilbert Khanyan said that my insurance will cover all my cost and I should not worry about anything. I repeatedly called and asked to resolve the situation, but there was a lack of immediacy. The second week I went to the place to finalize paperwork, but Gilbert offered me a under-​the –table deal to purchase my car for his «brother». Another week went by without a response and I later find out that he was on «vacation» then «not with the company» anymore.
My insurance company ended up not paying for anything and I was liable for all the charges, which is now $ 1700. I could of sold the wrecked car for $ 800, but am now receiving nothing.
I will have to sign my title over to this company because of their lack of professionalism and shady business created to ultimately keep my car.
SHADY Business indeed. Horrible horrible vibes.

Always something you hate to do… visit the in-​laws, go to the dentist or get your car fixed because some dumb fucker doesn’t know how to drive and hits your car in a parking lot.
As a favor to my brother (as the owner is a cleint of his), I took my car to Sunset for an appraisal. I ‘ve been there before a few years prior to have an appraisal done on a Toyota pickup truck that was declared a loss by my insurance company. I call, brought my car over, the man got out the camera, measuring stand and took a bunch of pictures. We went inside and told me to see the receptionist to set an appointment.
Here’s where is gets bad.
She told me that they’re «very busy» and the earliest time I could bring it back was in two weeks. Ok… ok, I’ll see you in weeks. Take into consideration that I’m driving around town with a broken left rear tail light; and Signal Hill Police Department did (and somewhat still does) have a Gestapo-​esque tinge to their style of law enforcement. The last thing I need is to get pulled over at 3:30am on a Friday with a busted light.
The two-​week wait arrives, I bring the car back and the same receptionist I set my appointment with told me it would be another week. Now I’m getting pissed; if you make an appointment with a doctor or denist and don’t keep it or reschedule, they hit you with a fee… failure to honor an appointment is a serious breach of business etiquette (at least to me). So I reset for ANOTHER week and wait.
Week comes and goes… guess what? Not only did they push me back another week, an Asian-​sounding woman who had a very poor command of the English language calls a day before and told me I missed my appointment. Uh, no, sorry, it’s not until tomorrow… she doesn’t have a record of it, and of course, the lady I’ve been in contact with since this whole frog-​fuck began wasn’t in. Wonderful.
During this whole time, I was in contact with my adjuster at Mercury; not the sharpest tool in the shed, but was generally accomodating. He sent them a check, lady at Sunset said that they closed the claim out (hello, you where ‘so busy’ and never even began work on my car, asshole)…the whole «Sunset said, Mercury says. hmm» was getting really old.
I eventually just told Sunset «since you’re so busy, I’ll take my business elsewhere». Mercury adjuster set me up with Boulevard Collision (review under seperate cover) and everything eventually worked out… after almost six week of utter incompetence on Sunset’s part.
Unless you got family/​contacts/​mechanic that works there, avoid these fools like a strung-​out, scab-​covered, crack whore on PCH.
