The Hog Pit

It was a Wednesday /​ladies night, karaōke night which was cool.
I did have a few beers and ordered food. I ordered steak with bake potato and Mac n chz. Ordered it md well. Well while waiting for my steak I noticed a few kids at the place. I didn’t think this would be a kid friendly place at 9pm but ok. Got my steak and saw my mac n chz literally it was the Kraft Mac n chz I’m like great. The reason I ordered the steak is bc I went to a place in Houston and it was hole in the wall bar that had great steak. First tee I think was the name. Bake potato was wrapped in foil but tasted microwaved.
They have a pool table that you can pay for each game which is cool
You get one star for cheap drinks

Well I ve eaten here a couple times and food is ok. I really think they need to advertise themselves more. Also think their resteraunt name they chose is to close to the hog city grill name down the street.
Staff was friendly and food was quick.

The men working were very friendly but the food was not very good. I had a bacon cheese burger and the meat tasted like a cheap frozen walmart patty. Too salty, and my bacon was burnt to a back char. Boyfriend had a hotdog with pulled pork… Pork was good but hotdog was so so. Also a bad time of year because of flies. Had one land in my ketchup and crawl all over my food. So much for even finishing it. It has potential but it’s not my pick for places atm.

Wow… wow…again I saw wow… I put in an order to go for my wife and I. There were 2 other parties of 2 people ahead of me. It took 47 minutes… It didn’t seem like the people working there were too interested in helping each other. In the end I was sent home with my order being incorrect…
Here’s the scary part… The BBQ was good… smoked well and moist, but the service (the kitchen) acted like they could care less. They may just not know how to run a restaurant, but I can’t see myself eating there again or ever recommending them to anyone else.

Exceptional barbecue which is a big statement from a Texas BBQ dude! Picked because it was open late but the food was outstanding. Ribs, brisket, and pulled pork were hot, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The Cowboy Burger is worth checking out — ask what’s on it.

Little tough to find in the back inside corner of the retail strip but totally worth the effort. Just GO!

Open late, good service, and pretty good food. The ribs, brisket, and pulled pork were great!
I ordered the guacamole burger expecting a fresh, juicy burger with chunky guacamole at a place like this, but the patty was dry and had obviously been frozen. The guacamole didn’t really have any avocado in it. Come for BBQ, not the burgers.
Try the sidewinders — a cross between a potato wedge and a curly fry. They are GREAT! We definitely enjoyed our visit.

Edit: Wanted to give this place another chance but seeing how petty and childish the owner was in a reply to a review, I won’t be. I understand you have to defend your business, but doing it in the manner you did just drives people away.

They were yelling and cussing at one of there new waitresses who was clearly overworked they don’t even make there bbq they buy it from somewhere else.
Ribs are soft and taste like nothing but bone meal.
If I were you I’d go to hawg city nicer people and cleaner atmosphere.
Bathrooms smelled terrible and outside the front door the cooks smoke and then go right back into the kitchen. If I could rate less I would

We were exhausted one night but really in the mood for a good steak. We are new to Siloam and had heard about this new place with a great steak. I called the Hog Pit and placed our order, got it within 35 minutes, and couldn’t have been happier! Both steaks were cooked PERFECTLY and the potato salad and fried green beans were amazing! We will definitely be going there again soon to sit down and eat… and to have some more of that potato salad for sure! Don’t miss it! Extremely friendly staff too!

I was in Siloam Springs for business and was staying at the hotel next door.
I asked the girl working at the desk for a recommendation of a local restaurant that had good food for me to go try out. She recommended the hog pit. Which is located directly next door Hidden in the corner. She recommended the steaks and said they were excellent and their fries were good too. I went in and found an absolutely at the restaurant aside from two employees whom I assume were the owners. I was greeted promptly waited on promptly and I ordered the ribeye fries and Fried green beans. It took a bit for the state to come out but it was perfectly cooked which made it well worth the wait the green beans were phenomenal. The fries were good but I think they put too many fries on the plate though.
I understand the restaurant has only been there couple months and they’re working on trying to grow. Everything I had there I would certainly eat again and based on my visit I could easily recommend anyone I know to go there and eat.
