I NEVER write reviews, good or bad, but I must save you from making the same mistake I did. I am standing out front, in the cold, as i write this; I could not wait any longer in good conscience. Believe every bad review here, every one of them is 100% accurate! First of all, it took me two passes at the entire buffet before I was able to find(settle on) three things to put on my plate. The whole buffet looks like leftovers or even a restaurant’s garbage. When I sat down at my table, my Sprite I ordered was waiting for me. I do not know how to accurately describe the taste of my ‘Sprite’. Dirty is the only one that I think comes close. Still determined to ‘enjoy’ my lunch, I tried the food. I could only stomach one small bite of chicken and one piece of fried squid. Both were room temperature at best, dry and flavorless. I got up, leaving an entire plate of food untouched, and ran for my life! I am stunned that the Health Dept. allows this place to continue serving ‘food’. Only eat here if you have a death wish, seriously.

Just your typical cheap buffet. Sushi was not fresh although decent Chinese food selection. Lacked any real flavor. Overall underwhelming then again you get what you pay for

The place is full all week long. I go for sushi and appetizers usually. Overall it seems they are working hard to keep the customer satisfaction so I think they deserve the credit.

Terrible. Cold, no flavor, dirty. There’s better buffets out there. I’d take CiCi’s pizza over this crap or get real asian food. SMH.

When i picked up my wife from work, we decided to try as this one is very close to her work place. As a chinese buffet place, this one is not too shabby. many selections. we liked bbq ribs, phở soups, black bean clams most. others are just okay. not a fan of sushi, but it was made cheap just like any sushi bar in america. crab legs are a little salty. hot bar is okay. didn’t try cold bar. service is good in general. better for lunch, otherwise have to do some aerobic afterwards.

Meh… your typical Chinese buffet with a large selection of food. I was disappointed with the many hot dishes I tasted which were luke warm to room temperature. The price isn’t bad at all but you get what you pay for.

Bruhhhhhhh… you’re not THAT hungry. Trust me! If you want something to eat, might I suggest FOOD? Because that ain’t in this joint. It’s a Chinese buffet and I tried my damndest to make a meal outta lettuce, salad dressing, fruit and jello. My soda was tap water flat and the restaurant was raggedy and dingy. Chairs floors and walls all need to be hit with holy water… orrrr just regular water. You can do better, so you should. Smh.

I realize this place is not supposed to be fancy and I wish I could come here again, because I love buffets. But this place was really disgusting and unappetizing. My soda was flat, the lo mein was totally made with spaghetti noodles, the egg drop soup was pure oil, the pork buns were foul and the pizza looked like it had been sitting there for 2 days. It was also dirty. I managed to make a semi-decent meal with some sushi, fruit, and salad. 2 stars for the price, service and variety.

My girlfriend dragged me to this place, kicking and screaming. An all you can eat Chinese Buffet. I’ve always hated these sorts of places. But this one is great. Everything is as fresh as can be, with virtually every dish as good as one would find in an excellent Chinese restaurant! Excellent price too. Long wait sometimes, but it’s all part of the experience and a testament to the above.

It’s not a fancy restaurant but I like going there with my family. I like the variety of food and all taste good. Love the seafood there specially the crab, shrimps and clams. The fried chicken was good too. Dim sum and sushi was ok but I didn’t like the vietnamese noodle. The service is good too. I definitely recommend it.

I would give this place more of a 3.5 star rating. You can’t go wrong on the price! Look at the variety of food you can get and the price you pay and it’s so much more worth it than other places in the area. Obviously you can’t eat here all the time! They’ve got everything from your standard American-Chinese fare to dim sum to Vietnamese noodles to sushi. I’ve come here for lunch and dinner and the only real difference I can see for the dinner option is the roast duck. Not only do you have all the food available but you have free refills as well! I’ve never had a bad time here.

Went here tonight on a Tuesday with my husband. The cashier lady who didn’t seem to be in a pleasant mood was very snatchy and barked in short sentences. The atmosphere of this place was lifeless. I saw a few large plastic beads on a few pillars, otherwise looked like a cafeteria. Nothing compared to what I envisioned when thinking of the words«Blue Pearl». They played 90s boy band music. For the price you pay, you definitely don’t get your moneys worth. The desserts were dried out and the meats were bland. The sushi is below average compared to other buffets. It seemed every other table had at least 3 screaming children in tow as they ran around the place. The only up was that the lemonade wasn’t too sugary and the staff seemed to collect plates fast but that’s not enough to get us to return.

A lot of food to choose from, more seafood selection then most buffet, while I was surprise to see duck and Vietnamese Phở soup not to mention bubble tea. A pretty good spot will come again.

In the basement of shopping mall in downtown Silver Spring, not much ambiance, just cafeteria-ish, which is okay. Not the kind of place you want to boast about frequenting, but truth be told, there is a lot they do right: Dim sum and fresh noodle soup you choose the ingredients. Sushi rolls made on the spot, vegetarian and fish, fresh, flavorful. Always good selection of seafood. Best fried plantains! Good choice of deserts, usually including sesame ball with bean paste filling. Attentive wait staff who never smile(wonder, are they the buffet restaurant work slaves one hears about?) but are good about clearing and refills. It’s a Chinese buffet, people, so accept it for what it is: functional, fresh food, low price, lots of variety. Enjoy!

I planned to give 4 stars, but the cooker ruined everything. No kidding. My family members and I were in the line for bowl of soups and Mongolian grill. I am Deaf, so one of my family members interpreted for me. I tried to order beef and noodles, but the cooker ignored us. My family member planned to order the bowl of soup, but he ignored and asked two customers behind us to order their food. My family member had to yell at him for ignored us; he laughed and acted like he does not care about his job. My family member decided to talk to the manager, but the cooker ran to the manager and denied for his own action. They yelled and argued in front of customers, while they ate their food. It was a huge embarrassment to see people argue due to my deafness. The manager refunded us and allowed us to eat our food for free. I do not plan to come back to this place until this cooker leaves or so. I seriously do not want to see his face due to deaf and disability discrimination.

One of my favorites here, the hash brown potatoes, went away some time ago. And they seem to do the pork chops differently than they used to, not as good in my opinion. So this place, which was a four-star when I reviewed it 3 years ago, can’t make more than 3 now. When a place stops serving the things that were the best items they carried, without coming up with suitable replacements, that warrants a downgrade. And except for the soup I mentioned in my July 2010 review, none of the things that made the place worth going to is there. Thus the downgrade.

Rough. I’m not sure why I’m giving it two stars instead of one. Probably because it was cheap for Sunday dinner($ 11). Unappetizing presentation of food. Unappetizing food. Did not smell good. Bad iced tea. But they gave me a coke when I told them it was not okay. Awful iced cream in tiny cups. Dining room overrun with children six and under with the sniffles.

This is one of those places you wish you could give zero stars to. I went during lunch around 2, wasn’t very busy but like others said there were many loud crying children. After I sat down and started eating I watched two unoccupied severs walk past without speaking/greeting before deciding I’d have to go get my own drink. When I was scooping the ice another server who was clearly annoyed came to telling me she’d get it. I said well I’ve already gotten it so she told me next time ask her. Ok, that’s fine no problem. The rest of the time there went wonderful as well. Again NOONE came over to clear my table. Plates were sitting for quite some time before a server decided to clear them off. Again this place was NOT busy at all. THEN came time for me to ask for a refill. I politely stop a server and ask her if she could get me a refill, to which she was completely disgusted. She didnt even actually answer me, she turned her back after she finished listening to me to finish setting an empty table, took my glass, then walked over to the other side of the restaurant to pick up dirty dishes from some one else’s table with my glass in her hand and then decided to go to the back and get a refill. I didnt even drink the refill. I was afraid she’d spit or done something to it from the way she was acting. I mean honestly she looked at me like how dare I ask her for a refill. So finally after my mouth was dry from not drinking the tainted refill I go back to the previous annoyed server and ask her for a refill like she said to… OFCOURSE she decided to argue with me… I just decided to keep repeating«I need a new drink, there’s something in my other cup» to which she also looked pissed off and actually started complaining to a cook that was just standing around while I was standing there… REALLY? Ok… So after I watched her fill a new cup with ice and fill it she handed it to me and swore at me under her breath in her own language… and I know that’s what she did, there was no mistaking that. I’ve never left a place before feeling so disgusted with the ENTIRE experience. I left without leaving a tip, I couldn’t believe the experience I had. If I could’ve regurgitated the over-salted-everything food I would have, but alas it was sitting quite heavily in my stomach. Did I mention DONOTGOTHERE… Oh ok well let me tell you DONOTGOTHERE

I couldn’t stand the smell of this place. I ate everything that was fried. I was just afraid to have anything that was raw or even cooked.

For the price and the nature of all-you-can-eat buffet I can’t find much to complain. Overall I think the food is very good. I love the noodle station where more than 10 different kinds of cook-to-your-order noodles are offered. Staff are polite and tentative. It didn’t take them a long time to take away my plates when I was done. I will come back again.
