Fenton’s Uniforms opened in 1970 on Fenton Street. The business moved to Georgia Avenue in 1990, and then it moved to its current new home on Silver Spring Avenue in January 2016.
I can’t believe there’s a place so close to my house that sells medical scrubs! More often than not, I have to order my scrubs online and it’s a huge hassle. Most people equate shopping online to convenience, but sometimes that’s not the case with medical wear. You have to try everything on because each brand is cut differently. So differently that my range is medium to X-large when it comes to pants. This particular location is very easy to find and there’s street parking close by(2hr), which is fantastic for a quick stop and shop. There’s dressing rooms located towards the back of the store… and my only complaint is how high the doors are placed. It’s very easy to see below them, but luckily the rooms are facing a wall so the chances on someone peeking in are slim to none. They carry Grey’s Anatomy scrubs, basic scrubs, and everything in between. Today was my first visit, and they gave me 20% off! Two pairs of pants for $ 50 isn’t bad at all, especially when the quality is so good. The employees are extremely friendly, and help you in picking out whatever you desire. I thought my trip would include wasting time combing through racks and trying on about 10 – 12 items… but it took about 10 minutes from start to finish. I walk in. An employee asks what I’m looking for, and brings a couple items in my size. I try them on. They fit perfectly… I pay, I leave. Quick, easy, and hassle-free. Do you know how much TIME I’ve wasted shopping for scrubs? Trying on different brands; attempting to find the right size; looking for something that’s the correct length; trying to keep within a budget… it’s exhausting. Now I no longer have to waste time. I can come here, shop, and get out. Finally.

So fiancée spent the time and money to become a member of the health care community. She study real hard she used her hard earn money to take classes. So when she reached the apex of the course she needed a uniform nursing type of white scrub type of thing, they got a name for it a whatchamacallit. So all the places that they, the school had suggested just did not fit because fiancée is very petite. We spent a couple of days going from place to place looking and searching hi and low. Until I drove pass Fenton’s Uniform, thought they had gone out of business but luckily I was wrong. The owners had changed hands but they still have a lot of uniforms on stock, perfect. The next day I dragged fiancée there and she had no problem finding exactly what she needed in her size and everything. Not only do they have scrub type uniforms but they also have the old style nurse duds that you see in the old movies and TV shows like Medical Center. Along with chef and cook uniforms and other styles for other professions. The two ladies who own the place were extremely helpful, pleasent, down to earth and understood the dilemma that fiancée had in finding her tiny size. They have fitting rooms there to ensure the perfect fit. Everything looked right. Almost forgot to mention that they have uniform shoes for said professions. After all this searching I can easily say that this place has all you need for uniforms to suit your job or career.
