Georgetown Decorators

I used Georgetown Decorators in 2014 to paint my condo in Silver Spring. Overall, it was a good experience. AJ was quick to communicate with the estimate and timing of the job. His crew worked quickly, which was great. Note, if you don’t remove something from the wall (e.g. TV wall mount), they will paint around it. If I was told, I would have taken the time to remove them myself. However, my overall rating is more about the most recent experience. We contacted GD to paint the interior and exterior of our home in Rockville. AJ quickly called back, came out for an estimate and gave us great advice, and said we’d have an estimate within 1 – 2 days. A week later, never heard back. I tried following up with the company by email and phone several times, to no avail. So disappointing. I would have liked to work with them again, but not sure what happened this time…

Highly recommend them with no reservations! Professional, quality work at a reasonable price. We had them paint our large front porch, our kitchen, and do some drywall and plaster repair in our basement and touch up painting. They completed all of this work in two days. Our crew, Carlos and Jose, arrived promptly each morning and were courteous and professional. They did a wonderful job and even touched up some spots that weren’t part of the work order.
I will be using them again anytime I need paint, plaster, or drywall work.

These guys were great from start to finish. Alan responded quickly to my request for an estimate and showed up on time for the estimate. He was very enthusiastic and friendly and texted me a quote for the job later that day. His offer was about $ 600 less than another offer and they have good reviews on Unilocal,so I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did. Alan and two of his guys showed up on time and completed the whole job in one day. Alan kept me updated on the status of the job throughout the day. The guys did a great job and did a couple of extra small paint jobs without extra cost. They accidentally broke the glass on a lamp, but Alan made an effort to buy a replacement at IKEA. This wasn’t necessary, but it was a great indicator of their consideration. We’ll definitely use these guys for future paint jobs.

I was referred to Georgetown Decorators by a friend who used them to paint his town home. I had multiple estimates and AJ was willing to work with me and my needs. I was able to get them into my place on short notice after water damage had affected my roof and my walls. Once the wallpaper was taken down there was evidence of mold. AJ and his team were able to take care of everything in an efficient manner and at a very reasonable price. He even fixed a door that was damaged by my former tenants and saved me from having to replace it. I have since referred him along to others and am looking forward to using his team again when I need them.

They gave us the cheapest quote and the guy you talk to is very nice and professional. However they underestimated the labor time and did an uneven job with the edges. They did not charge me extra for labor time.

I was fortunate to come across Georgetown Decorators online and am thrilled I chose to go with them to paint my new condo and do a few drywall repairs. From the start AJ (the owner) was easy to get ahold of, filled with good advice and more than happy to help accommodate me on very short notice. He gave a fair estimate and was able to arrange prompt service (on three days notice) so that the job could be finished before my move-​in date. My condo has very strict rules on contractors and AJ not only dealt with his side of the responsibilities to deal with their rules, but also helped to arrange things for him (and an electrician I had scheduled to come in the same day), when I forgot to do some of my paperwork for the condo. He was able to work things out so that not only could they continue with the job they had planned, but I didn’t have to leave work to straighten things out. Georgetown Decorators has stellar customer service and does fantastic work. They care about their customers and take pride in the work they do and really go above and beyond what you expect them to do. I will definitely be using them should any future jobs arise, and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for painters.

I had the pleasure of hiring Georgetown Decorators to paint my new condo. I found them on Unilocal and hired them to paint the whole interior of my new condo. Alan was extremely professional and even worked with us on where we could save some costs. The men who work for the company were on time, professional, and clean. My condo looks great. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I just used Georgetown Decorators to paint my entire place. I spoke to AJ he was very professional and was able to suggest color combinations that would go great with my décor. They showed up on time and were done in the time frame they indicated. I thought they did an excellent job with the work that I had done.
Their prices were very fair as well. I got a few quotes and this one was by far the most reasonable. One quote I got from another company was ²⁄₃ higher than what GT Décor charged me.
The guys were professional, moved furniture, and cleaned up after. It was very easy to deal with them and would recommend them to others.

Incredibly happy with the job Georgetown Decorators did! They were very professional and efficient with impeccable cleanliness. Absolutely beautiful job! (Believe me, I tried to find mistakes and couldn’t). I called them on Monday and they had a quote for us on Tuesday and the job done by Thursday! This was great as we had just moved in and were excited to get everything in place. The pricing was quite reasonable. AJ was very personable and caring, a surprising and welcomed change from what you’d typically expect. He even called after they left to make sure I closed the garage door :) They also were careful to not wake the baby :) Don’t hesitate to hire them!

GD Painters gave us a very reasonable price for our work request. AJ was very willing to work within our budget. He let us use his contractor discount when we bought the paint. He also requested that we send a picture of the receipt to make sure the store performed the transaction correctly. Very thorough! He even painted the inside of the closet and performed some caulking in the kitchen for free. As a new homeowner, I really appreciated his generosity. I submitted my work request to him on Friday and he was available to paint on Sunday. His availability was superb. Especially since we bought a new townhouse and wanted to get everything painted before we moved in. I will recommend GD to all my friends!

We recently finish painting our living room, dining room and bedrooms and Georgetown Decorators really took care of us. We were amazed at their level of professionalism and customer service. You just don’t get that with contractors. They we efficient and very clean. They have free estimates and even helped us choose some colors Prices are very reasonable and were able to keep us very happy. We can be a little picky. I highly recommend this guys. Jose and Alan were very personable. I will definitely use them again when we are ready for the basement
