UNETHICAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT, BEWARE!
If you are trying to get your Ford serviced at their shop be extremely scrupulous in your examination of the final bill! I was overcharged because of excessive work that was completely UNNECESSARY and had to argue with the salesperson and head mechanic to have my bill lowered. I had an evac leak code and instead of just simply changing the fuel filler neck and seeing if that cleared the code, the mechanics did the most extreme measure of dropping my gas tank and something that should have only been only about an hour of labor ($ 149.70), jumped to FOUR HOURS of labor, totaling $ 598.78!!! I would understand if they had first replaced the fuel filler neck and the error code persisted; then that would actually justify dropping the gas tank to investigate further. But since they didn’t even start with that simple process of elimination, the extra labor was utterly unnecessary. They also jacked up the price of the fuel filler neck by $ 87 (I verified with another Ford dealer in my area) and they replaced my fuel cap which was brand new! And to add icing to the cake, I had to walk to the back of the dealership to pick up my car instead of someone dropping it off at the front!!!
Simply put, a totally unethical service department. A professional dealership does NOT do unnecessary labor (and tries to make you pay for it), does NOT replace parts that are working perfectly, and does NOT waste over a half an hour of my time going into a private office to «discuss» the price with the head mechanic SEVERAL TIMES, giving me different numbers until finally reaching a price that was somewhat reasonable. If this is the type of service I have to look forward to again, I’d rather just drive the extra 10 minutes to a different dealership.

I basically had every problem imaginable when trying to buy a car through them (Mazda) — in short they sold me a car before they secured it from another dealership (I had a signed sales contract with the car’s VIN number on it), lied about the price and financing options until I signed the deal (and then tried to back out of the deal because i got them to agree to a price too low for them to make money), strung me along for 4 days and then held on to $ 10,000 of my money (tried to refund a $ 5k down payment on a credit card and ended up charging another $ 5k and then couldn’t refund it for a few days, wouldn’t return a check for another part of the down payment until in went to back to prove the check cleared) which they refused to return and prevented me from going to another dealership sooner. The salesman seemed nice, but the manager (Tom) was an ass, and the GM seemed not to care they were losing our business… even the finance guy felt bad for how they were treating me… in the end I just went to the other dealership in the area I knew had the exact car i wanted 9they one the «sold» me but couldn’t get) which I should have done in the first place, but I stupidly thought I would give my business to the local dealership and to the salesman who had worked so hard to earn my and spent so much time with me as i was deciding.
