Honestly, I try to avoid using this term, but I really feel like this place has become ghetto. The actual facilities (3 waterslides and a lazy river, as well as several lap lanes and a general swimming area) are great, but it’s overcrowded, loud and dirty. Yes, despite other reviews saying this water park is clean, this has not been my experience (in the locker rooms or pool) on recent visits. Last year the lap lane smelled like pee. Today there was shredded toilet paper in one of the lap lanes. I’m hoping and assuming it wasn’t used, but still… It’s great that they have lap lanes, but there are always people who don’t understand how lap lanes work and insist on wading in them. The lifeguards try to kick them out, but to know avail. 3 stars for what this place could be rather than what it actually is.

I’m a fan of the indoor pool, but someone clearly let the cat out of the bag about the outdoor pool as it is overcrowded with PG County’s finest in the summer. Better off going to Rockville or a private pool.

I’m not a fan of public pools at all, but this place is great. Very clean. Lots of amenities. A variety of water features. Highly recommended.

The place is convenient and theres only one thing theres no place by food of you get Hungry but other that that great place hang out

Today, I came to celebrate my friend’s birthday. This is the nicest community pool I’ve been to. It’s $ 6 for Montgomery County residents and $ 8 for non-​Montgomery County residents. They have a toddler pool, lazy river with tubes, few slides, and a deep end. If you don’t follow the rules, you have a time out when you sit on a bench for a given time. This place cares about patrons’ wellness and safety. They empty out the pool for 15 minutes of every hour to ensure the water level are normal and everyone in the pool area is wearing swimwear. There’s no re-​entry once you leave the premises.

As far as pools in the immediate White Oak area, this is the go to spot. There are slides, a lazy river, and chairs and tables available (however I advise you to be there waiting for them to open to get a table).
They don’t have food vendors on site, but let you bring your own food in and have menus for the delivery places in the area.
It’s definitely a family friendly pool to visit. I’ve never felt uncomfortable taking my children there.

Outdoor pool: Three nice slides and a slow river with floats. Free for county residents, otherwise 30 USD for a family of 4. You can bring your own picnic and gear. Come early if you care about chairs and shade. Great family fun!

Most likely the best $ 6 I’ve spent in MontCo in years. I loved the lazy river, three slides, multiple pool options and the 15 minute adult swim! They also had plenty of changing and shower areas too. The place is very well maintained. Had a great time I only wish I’d found it earlier in the summer… or previous summers when I was sweating my butt off looking for a pool.

Great pool with a lazy river, slides, kid pool and adult main pool. I have it only 3 stars because The day I went they had the main pool closed and only opened up the lazy river and kid pool so I went to the indoor pool instead. If they are going to open up the outdoor pool, they need to open everything and not just areas. I asked the lady at the front desk in the indoor pool about why the main outdoor pool was not opened and she said she didn’t control what they did. Also, you have to pay separate entrances to use the indoor and outdoor pools.

This place was pretty neat. I went there on 8÷17÷2013.
The indoor pool was closed but the outdoor pool was open. They had a lazy river. They also had three water slides. They had a diving board and a pool for regular swimming. The area was very clean. The life guards were a little confused when it was time for rotation. The place was not crowded. You could order pizza from outside vendors. The only thing that I didn’t like is that once you leave out of the pool area you could not re-​enter. That did not make much since. After swimming for a while the kids tend to get hungry. We had taken a grill so we did set up and cook on the grill in a nice area but, the kids were not able to go back to the pool. They had plenty of area to be able to just walk. However you just might see a deer in your passing. I would return to this place. It was very clean and serene.

The facility is great but the pool rules are a little bit much and the staff are rude.

How did this pool ever get 5 stars? The pool is nice, quite nice, however it always looks dirty and the life guards think they are GODS. However I’ll deal with a complex if they are at least attentive, which wasn’t the case last year. We visited the pool and all of a sudden the whistles were blow and a few minutes later we were told to move to the bathroom– no explanation. I asked what was going and was told, «thunder, we heard thunder». Okay, so no one else that I spoke with heard it-​and further more why thunder, not lighting? But when I asked to see the rules, the guard was shocked and sent out the manager, who didn’t have the rules and had to return to get them. Then when i read the rules-​nothing about thunder, nothing stated about leaving the pool for thunder. It also didn’t say we had to stay out of the water for 30 minutes but rather 20 after the «storm» passed. The staff was asking over 100 people to wait in the bathroom. Are you serious? However on the rules sheet, it was encouraged that you wait out the storm in your cars. When asked if this was possible, we were told NO, until we showed them the rules we were just handed. Then they they reluctantly said okay but we had to move our cars close to the door (maybe 15 spaces). Is this a joke? Once we started questioning the policy, we were treated so rudely, guards were pushing through the crowds without saying excuse me. Boys were being shouted out to go back into the boys locker rooms instead of be with their parents. We were granted a rain check which is why I have 2 stars instead of 1. I wasn’t asking for a rain check-​just better attitudes and have a rule sheet that you follow, is that to much to ask?

Was back at MLK about a month ago, and the facility has greatly improved. The lighting in the pool area has been increased, and the pool has been resurfaced. The bottom is now smooth, and the markings have been redone in blue tile (the old markings were in brown tile). Still looks like a very old facility, and the parking is still pretty bad, but due to the improvements to the pool, it has earned another star from me.

Love MLK. Convenient. Front desk staff is always nice. Plenty of parking. Pool is clean. Almost always lap lanes available. Opens early in the morning for that before work workout. And open late.

Loved it… had to go back. It gets crowded for a good reason. Three slides, a lazy river and a diving board. It’s like a mini water park. I think I had more fun than the kids. Every other hour, they have adult swim and the kids have to get out of the pool. That was the best! If you don’t get there early make sure to have your own chairs. It is definitely worth a visit: oD

Nice pool. Don’t really have any complaints except there were no MILFs there. A bunch of hot broads would have gotten this place a 4.5 star rating. I saw one-​piece sarong material in bikinis. Not the best look, but oh well. Oh, and get there early. Spot was packed like sardines…

Nice pool! Very clean, lots of space. It was crowded as hell but we still got chairs and were very comfortable. I LOVED the lazy river although I think next time I won’t make the mistake of giving up my tube since the line to get back in was hella long. Waterslides were super fun too. Only reason we left was cause someone barfed in the pool (they cleaned it up super fast) and we were running out of snacks and energy.
Only lame thing (and it’s not even that lame) is that the diving well was closed!
