Got phở to go. The broth was clear which was my first clue. There was no scent of spices, second clue. This phở was like noodles in water. I requested extra lime and got 1 wedge. Smh. Such a waste of my money and I drove in the rain. This place only gets one star because the spring roll was ok. Never again.

The Phở is delicious and the ingredients they use taste very fresh. The place isn’t very appealing to the eye but the food makes up for it. They also sell meat dishes(chicken, pork etc…) with rice which is pretty good as well I’ve only ever had a piece off of one of my friends plates but he seemed to have enjoyed it. Overall it’s a pretty good place.

In for lunch a couple of weeks ago. This time we again had the shrimp and vermicelli noodles dish. The original GOOD quality is back! Enjoyed our lunch, just as we had hoped. I read others stating that this is under new management; the improvement is apparent. This remains a favorite place for lunch.

Good phở — has become our go to place, always fast and professional. Love the C4, C5, and C8 — don’t ask me what’s in them — I hear there are tendons involved and I’d rather not know. Plenty of fresh pepper/sprout/basil toppings, and good spring rolls as well. Solid find!

Ordered chicken Phở for lunch. Super cheap, came in 5 minutes, totally delicious. Can’t beat that! Service and atmosphere are not something you come here for. If you want a family operated hole in the wall with cheap, delicious food then this is the place for you!

Amazing turn around. Very good traditional cuisines. The new owners have done a lot to take this restaurant to the next level. Will come back for more.

This is no longer Phở An. The restaurant at this location has been Phở Hung & Grill for more than a year. Unilocal needs to update the name. Phở Hung used to be in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center. I wish they would return. The fresh rolls are great, the phở is delicious, and the rice vermicelli dishes are excellent. The service is friendly. Aspen Hill’s loss is White Oak’s gain.

My partner brought me some chicken phở from this place, and I must admit it was pretty good. I like how they package everything separately giving me the option of adding the quantity of the items I would like, including the meat. They were also extremely generous with the portions. We ordered a large, I ate, my partner ate, and we still had phở left over. I will definitely be ordering again.

*No longer called Phở An* Ever since new management came in and took over this place, the service and good quality have shot up! The service is super fast and it doesn’t compromise the quality of the food itself. The staff are all very nice as well. It’s def a good change from the last owners. Get the bubble tea! They actually use fresh mango and avocados!

After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try. Friendly and attentive staff moved to greet me before I stepped all the way through the door. The Phở was fresh and delicious! The gentleman who met me noticed after a few minutes that I was new to Phở and gave me some tips to make it perfect. Their seasonings are on the side so you can make it as bold and spicy(or not) as you desire. Mung beans, Lime wedge and a beautiful sprig of Thai Basil are also served on the side to add as you wish. Note, the large is large. l ate more than I expected and packed a quart home. Can’t wait to enjoy it later!

This place is great. They used to be in the Aspen Hill area. I used to go every time my son and I have a craving. I’m so glad I found them here near my sister’s. We always get a large #1 and a vermichili dish to share. The portions are great, always stuffed when we leave. The place is always clean and the staff is always kind and polite.

Phở soup is very bland and expensive compared to Phở Dlite. Plus they only have two broth flavors: beef or veggie. What about chicken??? I wouldn’t recommend unless you just don’t feel well.

My most Fav Phở spot ever! This is definetly a hidden gem, it’s in a less then prime location, but can otherwise give Pho14 a run for their money… The Phở is the Best! The staff is also amazing… The manager actually delivered the phở free of charge when I was sick, despite of the fact that they do not deliver. This is an under rated little Phở Dive that I so Love.

No complaints here. Phở is yummy, plentiful and flavorful. It’s also presented beautifully, FAST and fresh! The two guys that were serving were very nice and accommodating. They let me sit at table 12… again because my phone is a punk of epic proportions… and needed a charge. Ambience is that of a hidden hole in the wall and you can tell it’s family owned but I liked it. I was comfy the entire time. The Thai tea is SO good, but I’m biased because I haven’t had one yet that I didn’t like,(knock on wood). The bubble tea is also fab and the tapioca balls NOMNOMNOMNOM! :) No questions, just go.

You don’t come here for customer service. You come here for good, fast food. They changed their name to Phở Hung and now don’t sell beer.

Its a bummer that their phở combination does not include meat balls. They have friendly staffs and the service is fast. The place is clean but a bit dark.

The food was served quickly and very tasty. The owner(I believe she was owner) took our order directly. The summer rolls were good and so was the phở. the young coconuts water that I had was tasty too, and was served with some slices of coconut in the bottom of the glass.

I have eaten Phở here several times, and it was always good. I asked to take home the bean sprouts that I didn’t eat, and the server provided a takeout bag. I used them in another recipe the next day. Always plenty of parking here.

An older gentleman served us. I think he was having a bad day– he was a tad surly. So, I decided to try to make him smile. I worked and worked, and well, it worked! I think he had a difficult customer before us. You could tell he took great pride in his work. Even when it’s packed, you could tell that their priority is Efficient, Fast. And, that’s okay in a Phở Place, you know? Yeah, but how’s the chow? Not bad. You love peanut sauce too? Theirs is a little thinner than what I’m used to. BBQ pork wasn’t as tasty as a sister Phở restaurant nearby in Laurel. Apparently, there’s a difference in how the BBQ pork is made, and this was good, just not great. Overall, It’s not bad, really, not bad at all– just not my favorite. Give it a try!

I’m always suspicious of phở places without a number behind it, but my sister in law insisted that this place came highly recommended(although a quick check on Unilocal did not support that recommendation), but since we hadn’t had dinner with her for a while, I was able to convince my husband to battle traffic on a work night to meet her here for dinner. Set in the slighly sinister and creepy strip mall of White Oak, I was more suspicious when I noticed that they offered bubble tea. Not to get all elitist, but bubble tea is a Chinese thing… not a Vietnamese thing… so my expecations for good phở dropped even more. Fortunately, due to my low expectations, I ended up having a decent meal — but be forewarned, if you’re expecting a big beefy, meaty, boiling hot bowl of phở — this is not the place to go. The soup was heavily seasoned with star of anise and cinnamon, completely masking the natural beef flavor that makes phở so satisfying. Also, the soup, while definitely more then lukewarm, was not the epic boiling hot that one would expect; my thin slices of flank steak never got past medium-rare, and my bean sprouts never completely cooked through. We also ordered the spring rolls, which were decent but average, but my Vietnamese iced coffee was disappointing. I’m used to getting the little press and cup that would slowly drip while I devour my phở. Instead, I got a pre-mixed glass of coffee, that was not strong enough… or perhaps the ice just diluted the coffee as I was finishing my meal. Eh. Not a bad place, especially as the service was polite and prompt, but definitely not one of my top go-to phở places.
