When the time is right, she will offer another perspective that you have not thought of before. She does all this by intense and active listening and helping you connect your past to the present with the goal of healing old wounds, and then find constructive solutions for today and the future. Issues clients come to Dr. Wortman for include grief, depression, anxiety, ADHD, couple’s issues, family matters, medical problems, college students come for coaching, legal problems, and some clients have no specific agenda, but they need to feel better. CBT or cognitive behavioral therapy is also offered as an effective tool. Finding meaning for the internal and external struggles is always the cherry on top of the work. Think of therapy with Dr. Wortman as a river trip in a safe soothing water and at times a rush down the rapids with her by your side. You will survive and be proud of your trip, and you will want to share the photos too!
