I have taken two items to the Shoe Spa. First, I had a jacket with a broken zipper. They told me that they could save me money and repair it by simply changing the slider. It worked. Then I took in very old but expensive hunter’s boots. They had very special, thick rubber soles that needed to be replaced. Shoe Spa replaced the soles and brought the old leather back to life. Again, saving me a lot of money. And, I got a call the next day asking me if how the shoes were doing!

I brought them two pair of shoes to be repaired. I wasn’t sure if they could be repaired, but they cost a lot of money and I didn’t want to throw them away. One pair had the sole coming away from the shoe and had even torn a piece off. The other pair had torn leather, can leather than has been stretched to the point of tearing be repaired? I picked up the shoes ten days later and both pair look like they did when they were new. I could not tell the torn shoe from its mate. The sole on the other pair was perfectly repaired. I cannot tell you how relieved I am not to have to replace these shoes. And the repair work was perfect. I recommend Shoe Spa without reservation. P. S., My husband has had some of his shoes repaired there as well and he was very pleased as well. Only, he doesn’t do reviews, this one should count double.

I really hate to do this but this place is a joke. I would give it zero stars if I could. The owner should be ashamed of herself for her poor customer service. I dropped off a purse and boots to be repaired on Wedn 12÷18÷13. I was told they would be ready for pick up on Fri 12÷27÷13. Perfect. Round 1. I stopped by the following morning on Sat 12÷28÷13 at 8:53am. The store was closed and no one was there even though the hours for Sat are listed as 8am-4pm. I left my first of many voice messages. Round 2. I stopped by again at 10:15am on Mon 12÷30÷13 and again no one was there even though the store hours are 10am-6pm. Aren’t you running a business? Shouldn’t you be on time and respect your own hours of operation? I guess not. I left another voicemail. So the following day on 12÷31÷13, almost 2 weeks after the initial drop off date, I finally got a call back. I was told by an employee that my items would be ready for pick up on Tues 1÷7÷13. What? That’s not what I agreed on. I paid $ 50 cash for my items to be ready by 12÷27÷13 not 1÷7÷13 over a week and a half later! I wanted to wear my boots that weekend while in NY. So unprofessional! When I asked why the delay I was told«Oh you know its the holidays.» I was so pissed. I tried to stop by the same day 12÷31÷13 at 5:50pm and again no one was there. I left another voicemail. Round 3. I work full time and it’s ridiculous that I have to adjust my schedule and stop by time and time again with no avail to pick up my items. Ugghh! When I got back from NY I called the owner on Wedn 1÷8÷13 and told her I would be coming in at 10am sharp that Fri on 1÷10÷13 to pick up my items. You guessed it. No one is there again! I left another voicemail. Round 4. The saga ended today Wedn 1÷15÷13. I was finally put out of my misery. I showed up on my day off unannounced around 3 pm. The shop was actually open and the owner was there. I asked for my items and she immediately knew who I was. She laughingly said«Girl I know you mad at me.» Geez ya think? She had the audacity to also say I never showed up last Friday. Are you kidding me? I told her she is sadly mistaken and to check her voice messages. She then said it must have been a miscommunication. Smh. Round 5. Thank God I have my items back but please never go here! It’s not worth the lack of professionalism, high prices, and unreliability. You’re better off going to JK shoe repair in Laurel, MD on Main St. I will go back to them. They are always professional and I’ve never had an issue. I guess this is what happens when you venture out and try to support a local business with an African American female owner. Never again!

Shoe Spa was a great find. I am new to the area and had been looking for a place to fix my black leather boots. Both staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I picked up my boots five days later that were completely fixed and beautiful. I have warn them a few times since and they are great. I am very happy with the fix and the price was very reasonable. Note to new customers– they only take cash and it is at the dropoff.

I was delighted to find this shoe repair shop and meet Eureka, the cobbler. She fixed the handle on my purse and offered two options for the repair. The stop is tucked away near Tech Rd but worth the trip.

I first went to Shoe Spa about a year ago at my wife’s recommendation and was impressed with their work at restoring two pairs of dress shoes, as well as a pair of boots to like-new condition at a reasonable price. I returned with a notebook bag which they repaired. I brought back the pair of boots today to have a heel repaired. They told me that the boots need additional work, but since they had repaired the boots before, they would not charge me for the additional work. I am impressed with their workmanship and their customer service. They are off the main road, but checking them out the next time you need shoe repair or shoe accessories will be worth your time.
