Shoppers Food & Pharmacy

Have gone here twice with my boyfriend grocery shopping and it’s pretty good. I thought my items would end up to be about $ 40 which was $ 26.41. That was great! There was not a variety of fruit. And the self check out machine was giving us a very hard time to scan items. Huge parking lot.

This grocery store is great in price and quality.
However, after the extreme irate employee that caused a very tense scene on Wednesday May 4^th, 2016 jeopardizes the safety of customers and employees.
I have posted a video of the employee and contacted their customer service. After the shootings in MC today I believe others should be aware of her if they allow her to continue working. It has been 48hrs since I contacted their customer service and still have not heard from the DM.
I am only thinking of the safety of our community as I make this post.

Prices are better than giant and Safeway. Love that I can walk here. More of a neighborhood feel for a big store and cool ethic food available. People are friendly. Parking lot though, is a disaster.

Typical shoppers store. We’ve been here several times and never had bad experience with it inside the store. But I hate the parking!
Their floor is always shiny and seems like they have good amount of staff on duty at times.

Shoppers on Randolph Road is not too far away from the Glenmont Metro station. Overall, a good place for the type of stuff I want to buy: ranging from cereals to yogurt to chips. Can get really crowded at times and most of the staff are pretty nice. Ample parking spaces and they also have self-​checkouts. Pretty clean and well maintained overall.

Meh. Cheap grocery store. Not the cleanest or the quickest checkout. pretty average

Never really go into shoppers much because I prefer giant. Their doughnuts are what makes the store stand out. Try the cronut (croissant and donut combined). Delicious!

Cheaper Prices. With that you get lousy customer service. Rarely I am greeted. A few times I have purchased my groceries and the cashier and I did not exchange one word. I waste my breath saying «thank you» after getting my receipt. I’ll avoid this when I can.

Yecch. The store is dumpy, the shelves are never kept neat, the restrooms are never clean, there are no self checkout registers (even after a remodel), and the checkout lines take forever to get through. Not a fan. Shoppers in Olney is a lot cleaner and better kept, and has self checkouts. Likewise, Giant in Wheaton and in Aspen Hill both have far better shopping experiences.

Love this shoppers. Excellent prices and for the most part, they are pretty clean and organized. Depending on what time you come though, you could be in line FOREVER because they dont always have enough registers open. I suppose thats simply a part of grocery shopping. Whatev.

Cashiers are as slow as molasses AND UNFRIENDLY STAFF overall… but IT IS Shoppers Food Warehouse. I should not have expected good service to begin with.

Ok, I like to cook and there are certain things that I need to help me achieve a meal (every meal for me) of epic proportions. When I visited this shopper’s to get 2 lbs. of stew beef for my slow cooker stroganoff recipe after church on a Sunday evening, imagine my surprise when the young lady working in the meat department came stomping out screaming at me. My apologies butcher lady, I don’t have a meat scale at home to weigh 2lbs. of stew beef like my slow cooker recipe calls for…
The lady in the seafood dept… well let’s just say Forrest Gump ya dig? Something’s just not right with her.
If it weren’t for the prices, I would NEVER go to this store again. The checkout lines are ALWAYS long. If you must shop here as I do, make sure that you bring your iPod in or your souped up cell phone for game play while you wait in line.

In what use to be the old Hechingers now lies another Shoppers food Warehouse. This Shoppers is much like any other Shoppers kind of crowed especially on the weekend, not as clean as it could be lanes are a little narrow and things are packed in the shelves take one out they all come out like those old slap stick gags on old TV stack of cans one is removed and they all tumble down. But the focus of this is not really on the store alone sure they have some very good prices and nice selection of just about anything in their international section better than Giants and Blooms in that department. Which brings me to «Goya Jamaican Style Ginger Beer». It seems like I can’t find this particular flavor anywhere except in small out of the way Latin or Caribbean markets. What makes this so special you may ask? Is it alcoholic? No! Is it an energy drink like Red Bull? No! Is it magic? No! What is it? The best strongest non alcoholic soda you can buy. Why? because it’s made with alot of real oil of ginger and CAPSICUM that’s why. What is that you may ask. Well all of you police, military, self defense martial artist out there help me out here. It’s pepper spray people. You heard right the same thing that those guys use to subdue non cooperative individuals. They mix it in this deliciously mouth numbing beverage. Yes you will notice that it will make your lips numb to the touch from just one sip. For those of you who like spicy well have I got a soda just for you. It will tear your mouth up the first time you drink this and go thru you nose. Don’t get any of that fizz in your eyes you’ll be crying. So go to Shoppers look in the international section of Goya look hard next to all the other drinks no not that one DG Ginger Beer sucks too weak. Yes that’s it right there now go ahead pop one open and get fizzed up.
