I had my first appointment on a Tuesday after scheduling just the day before and then had my root canal today, Friday. I felt no pain during or after the procedure. The doctor answered all my questions and the staff were nice. Can’t ask for a better outcome considering the circumstances.

Last week I was in D.C. Metro area working on a project. I was in incredible tooth pain when I finally was able to see a dentist in my insurance network who recommended I see Dr. Potluri. I had an emergency situation where a tooth had caused an infection to start spreading to other teeth. I’m generally not paranoid about medical procedures… with the one exception being anything having to do with my teeth. Upon arrival, he examined the painful area and conducted tests, made and verified diagnosis, which was based on very complex symptoms. Immediately applied just the right amount of pain relief medicine, and in such a gentle way that I didn’t have to hold my breath waiting for the miserable moment when the poking was to be done. Dr. Potluri and his staff were incredible, immediately making time to see me, taking their time to explain what was going on, what my treatment options were, and answering questions. The treatment itself (addressing the
infection followed by a root canal) was handled professionally. Because of the infection, the procedure was prolonged to two visits to ensure that pain was minimized.
Dr. Potluri instructed me on pain medication if I would need any, and how to go about my care routine. Dr. Potluri called me in the evening to see how I was feeling. I also received a report with all my x-​rays and explanations along with recommendations for the future treatment. He also communicated with my general dentist with all the necessary information. I would definitely recommend Dr. Potluri to any person who is in need of a root-​canal!

Thanks to the Dr. Garner from Spanish Catholic Center referred me to here for my root canal treatment so that I can chewing my favorite beef jerky as usual! Awesome experience with Dr. Potluri, no pain!

Dr. Sumesh Potluri is an Endodontist at Silver Spring Endodontics.
He has an agreement with Catholic Charities which provides a significant discount to those patient referred through Catholic Charities.
I am no rookie to dental procedures. Unfortunately!
Visiting Dr. Potluri for my root canal was not a good experience at all!
He was very withdrawn, not empathic to patients symptoms. No regard during the procedure.
He simply stated. Open. Close. Swallow. He asked, numerous times; Are you swallowing? «Ugh yeah Jerk! I have like 5 tools in my mouth, …I’m trying here! «
No personal interaction, no manners given, no thanks for choosing me.
While I did pay a significant discounted price. I wish my $ 735 was spent at another Endodontist professional.
Never again.
