Warm and Fuzzy Cat Boarding

This facility is the absolute best place to board your cat and it is a CAT-​ONLY facility. The owners have gone to incredible lengths to create this kitty oasis in their own home. There can be 30 cats and it smells good — that tells you something right there. The play area is great and it’s included in the price. The owners love cats and know the quirks and personalities of all of their kitty clients and pay attention to them when they are with them. They will tell you about each cat that is in their facility because they really do CARE for the cats there.
I have absolutely no worries when I leave my cat here. Every time he has been completely content there and shows no signs of distress after boarding. You can bring your own food and bedding or they will provide it at no extra cost. Just visit and you will see that this place is 100% different from other boarding facilities.
The only problem is their pricing — as their business has grown, they have raised their prices very high. The cheapest condo is the townhouse (huge by any other facility’s standards) and it’s $ 38 per night. I am now in distress at having to find a more affordable place, but if you can swing the cost, you will know your cat will be lovingly cared for while you are away.

W&F cat boarding is a gem in the Washington, DC area. If you have to board your cat, you really can’t do better. It is pricey, but totally worth it. The owners can give medications, feed your cat his/​her own food, and keep the cages and litter boxes pristine. Your cat might come back in better shape than he/​she went in! Reserve ahead of time as they book up fast.

They’re the best! I didn’t want to put my cat in a place where he’d hear dogs and get scared or upset. The other reviewer is so right that most places treat cats like second class citizens. The people who run W&F really do love cats and I am totally comfortable leaving my cat there. And the rooms are clean, which means a lot to me. No gross litter box smells, which is impressive considering how many they have to clean!

I was really worried when I began my search for boarding for my 2 cats. Most places seem to think it’s acceptable to keep kitty in a tiny crate with no exercise or stimulation for days or weeks on end. Thank goodness I found Warm and Fuzzy. It’s a cat’s paradise. They’ve thought of everything your cat could need and Scott and Jeanie are a marvel with the kitties. If you really love your cat (s) you won’t let them stay anywhere else.

We’ve always used cat sitters in the past, but our house was on the market, and we didn’t want to leave our two cats to the whims of whoever had a code to the lockbox on the door. I found Warm & Fuzzy’s website, and called to get some information about them. Scott clearly understood and loved cats, which set my mind to rest right away. They have a large variety of boarding options, but even their most inexpensive cages are quite spacious, especially compared to, say, our vet’s office.
We picked them up yesterday afternoon, and it was clear our trust in W&F had not been misplaced. Our social cat was lively and alert, and even our little scaredy-​cat was hanging out on one of the beds, and I’ve never seen her be visible in a room with three people in it before. They had even given her eyedrops for a last minute infection with no problems and at no additional cost.
I would recommend Warm & Fuzzy to anyone. They love cats, and it shows.

I had a last-​minute emergency where I would need to drop off my cat Missuma the very next day for four days. Right away on the phone, when he took my request, Scott made me feel like Warm & Fuzzy was an excellent and caring place. When I dropped off Missuma the following day, Jeanne really took care of me, and my kitty, and I feel that W&F has a wonderful, calming caring vibe, and felt really safe leaving her there. Upon picking her up, I was assured she was a great boarder, and she’s been calm and delightful since we returned home today. I’m happy to recommend Jeanne & Scott very strongly.
