With over 75 years combined experience, White Oak Wellness four therapists offer a range of therapeutic services, from Rolfing® Structural Integration, Cranial Sacral, Auric Readings, Chakra Balancing, Shamanic Journeying, Soul Retrieval, House Blessings and Clearings, Reiki, Reflexology and several types of therapeutic Massage including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Oncology, Orthopedic, Prenatal, and classic Thai massages.

History

Established in 2000.

David Cockrell, LMT and Mary Starich, Phd. met in massage school at Potomac Massage Training Institute in 1997. Shortly after he graduated school, David started up White Oak Wellness. He then looked for more therapists to join him. He immediately thought of bringing Mary on board and then they found Gwen Cook, LMT another PMTI graduate in 2001. Mary had studied with Sue Greer and asked if she would like to join our practice. She has been with us for several years.

Business Owner

David Cockrell, LMT has been on a long journey over these last two decades in his effort to find a way to express his desire to be of service in the health care field. He pursued traditional Western medical models of training and felt missing in the crisis management model. He discovered Eastern models of prevention and wellness and found his home among the healing stories and protocols found in China, Thailand, India and Japan.
