Specialties
A great pub experience. Great beers paired with fine food.
We believe in local sources as it is the freshest and keeps the money at home.
Ten guest beers as well as all the Hales Brewery offerings are on tap.
All natural beef leads to wonderful burgers and barbeque brisket as well.
We smoke our own meats and salmon leading to great salmon chowder and barbeque pork.
We have no deep fryer and so the fish and chips are pan fried and oven baked
Mike and Kathleen Hale are long time Kitsap residents so our second pub had to be near home. Kathleen manages the pub and was born and raised in Bremerton. Mike is at the Seattle brewery most days but often finds himself stopping in for a visit. Please enjoy our pub and let me know how you liked it. Mike
History
Established in 2010.
The Hales Kitsap Alehouse was opened on the fourth of July 2010 to celebrate Hales Ales first brew on the fourth of July 1983. It is our second pub, the first being in Seattle’s Fremont District which opened in 1995. Fifteen years between pubs is about right, right? Both pubs are styled after the English pub tradition of a friendly warm neighborhood gathering place.

Mike studied brewing English Ales in England the winter and spring of 1981 1982. He opened Hales Ales on the fourth of July 1983 as a one man brewery in Colville, WA. The last 28 years have been a great education and the Northwest has blossomed into one of the great beer destinations of the world, no kidding! Prior to starting the brewery Mike was an electrician.
