The Reserve at Bucklin Hill

I would like to start with the fact that I do NOT recommend this place. They are raising the rent on these apartments to well beyond what they are worth. I lived in a 2 bed 1 bath unit for one year that had no light fixtures in the bedrooms and a terribly small bathroom. They claim to be «luxury» but were renovated using the cheapest materials. The parking lot was so small and my fiancé ended up getting a ding in his new car after just a few weeks of living there. Nobody picks up after their dogs either so watch your step. There is no pantry and the cabinets are too high to reach in the kitchen. There is also no coat closet.
We always had a problem with bugs making it into our apartment, including huge spiders, sugar ants, and centipedes. The road noise is awful here because the apartments are backed up by highway 303. We always paid our rent on time and never had a complaint against us yet were given no incentive to stay and sign another lease. Instead, our rent was to be raised at the end of our 12 month lease with no renovations planned. Lastly, we were told when we turned the keys in that we would receive $ 400 of our $ 500 deposit (they needed $ 100 to clean the carpets) and after two and a half weeks have not received our deposit in the mail. I called the office and was told they are instead giving us $ 237 back because they are keeping part of the pet deposit too. Needless to say, we left and are much happier! Good riddance.

Stay away from these greedy people! It’s not worth the money. Bugs galore on the first floor and upon moving out we were told we would be getting $ 400 back from the deposits only to find out they only gave us $ 230. This place has no respect for the tenants.
I constantly heard people fighting, cops were being called and the parking is the worst I have ever had to deal with. No reserved parking available. The stalls are very small.
The fixtures inside the units may look nice but they are the cheapest quality that money can buy. Our towel hook fell out of the drywall after one week of living there and the sliding glass doors are a burden to even open.
The «gym» is a joke and the pool is so saturated with chemicals that I left with skin as dry as a mummy.
Not to mention the loud road noise. It’s very loud.
Our bedrooms had no lights. Really. They didn’t even install lighting in the bedrooms. Every morning waking up for work I had to use my flashlight just to find clean clothes to wear.
The cabinets in the kitchen are way too high up! I swear to god Shaq designed these apartments. No pantry either. There is almost no counter space and food storage had to go at foot level.
They also own conservice. The utility company that you pay monthly in addition to the rent. So not only are you paying out of your butt in rent, you’re also paying for utilities that go right back into their pockets.
Also do not set anything in the windowsill. I lost an entire book collection to mold because the seals they used on them were as terrible as the greedy corporate owned management.
Our toilet decided to blow up not once, but three times. Three times it overflowed sending human waste all over our bathroom floor. Maintenance had to come in both times and snake the drain. I’ve never had any problems with toilets before moving into this place.
So if you like spiders, mold, cheap fixtures, loud road noise, violent neighbors, dinged up cars and swimming in your own excrement while paying over 1300 dollars a month then this will be the place for you.

DISCRIMINATORY leasing practices. My husband and I filled out the entire application online but did not want to put down a deposit without seeing the property. He is ill today so I drove out there alone, too stupid to know that they wouldn’t rent to me because I’m just a woman.
If you are a married woman DO NOT VISIT this property alone if you actually might want to rent there. They will not take your money, but rather tell you in a condescending tone that you need to GO HOME and finish the online process. The only thing left of the process was for them to take a deposit to hold the place and to run our credit. They would not do any of that for me, since my OWNER wasn’t accompanying me.
I am unsure whether Abby thought I could not afford the place (I can), or if they actually openly discriminate, but either way they would not take my money without me bringing the old man along with. And here I thought it was 2015 and women had rights… SILLY ME!

I have stayed at this appt complex for over 3 years, just because I am too lazy too move. I would stay elsewhere if I were you and if you had found a better deal. There are better apartment deals in the area, and the management would not offer you a better deal when you sign new contract annually unless you ask for it. So be aware if you decide to stay here. The apartment itself is okay. Cons are bathroom is small, low ceiling, parking spot is narrow, kitchen cabinets are too high for me. Pros are washer and dryer in the unit and quiet.

My husband and I lived here back in 2009 through 2010. These are great apartments to live in. We had a two bedroom/​two bath and it was very spacious. The community was quiet and the management were very professional and quick to help. Our dryer broke and it was replaced within 24 hours. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The facilities were always nicely kept and the grounds well maintained.

I lived here a couple of years ago and have since moved, thank God. I’m trying not to let the shitty town of Silverdale Washington influence my review for this place so I’ll try to be unbiased. Having moved away two years ago, I suppose I am prone to leave out a few things, although I can still strongly remember how bad I hated living here. Don’t be suckered into their model property! We were desperate and really wanted to find a place super fast so we let all their «pretty» renovations trick us into thinking this place was totally fine. Nope! Here’s why I hated living here:
1) God this place lacked SPACE! The kitchen was SOOOO small and there was NO pantry! We were in a 2 bedroom BTW.
2) The bathrooms were REALLY SMALL!
3) Our neighbors were white trash who had parties every weekend. This was the demographic that lived here. Not the classiest!
4) The living room lighting is crap. Our apartment was SO dark which drove me crazy
5) Our bedroom closets were sliding door which more than once derailed and took FOREVER too fix!
6) The walls are SUPER THIN!
The Positive:
1) The ladies in the office were pretty helpful although many others have said otherwise
3) It’s not located in the 5^th ward and the red light district at least. Too boring for that.

I lived at the Reserve for about a year… I was happy to leave. They cleaned up and remodeled the whole complex awhile back, and what that meant was… paint over EVERYTHING. Even the repaving they did was a joke…
Speaking of, they repaved the parking lot. They did it in 2 days in 2 sections. I came home one night and pulled in to where I normally would park, the spot I was PAYING extra to have and they said everything was full.
«Okay, so where should I pull around to to park?»
«No– EVERYTHING is full, there is no more parking for residents or guests.»
I was pissed. I got no apology. Even when I went to the office to complain. Also the repaving job they did, didn’t cover anything it was so thin! Parked illegally for a few, ran in and grabbed a few things and crashed at a friends place. Really though– that’s there idea of service! And for all the pretty 2-​panel doors they put in and all the fresh coats of paint they put over the cabinetry… its still not really a nice place. At all. Our closet door broke at least every other week and their were cigarette butts EVERYWHERE outside, with no care in the world.
Meh, I’m glad I moved out.
