An Extraordinary Lodging Experience With European Flair

History

Established in 2007.

The Silverton Inn & Suites is a transformational renovation project that was completed in 2007. The combined visions of DeGeorge Construction and G. Victor Madge Architect, Inc. resulted in a landmark building for historic downtown Silverton, one that has been credited with being a new economic engine for the community.

Doug DeGeorge purchased the dated old Nordic Motel in 2006 and selected Silverton-area architect Victor Madge to assist with the design. The combination of DeGeorge’s initial concept and Madge’s vision for this key downtown location culminated in a development that has quickly become an anchor in the downtown community.

As DeGeorge and Madge developed the two-story grand lobby, complete with a massive fireplace and elegant finishes, it generated great interest around the community. The Silverton Inn & Suites has become a lodging destination for travelers from across the world.

Business Owner

DeGeorge’s first development in Oregon, the Silverton Inn & Suites, received presidential awards for its economic impact on the Silverton community. His work at the Inn has been recognized by community leaders, politicians, builders and travelers as having positively contributed to Silverton’s economic and community development.

In March 2010, DeGeorge began construction on The Lodge at Detroit Lake, which opened during the summer of 2010. The Lodge at Detroit Lake is a modern, craftsman-style lodge, that features 12 rooms and suites. «The Lodge at Detroit Lake has turned out more beautiful than we ever expected. On the east side of the property, we completely rebuilt from the ground up eight luxurious, modern lodge rooms. On the west side, we are currently refreshing another five rooms, upgrading the façade in this section and updating all of the interior spaces,» says DeGeorge.
