1st Kia of Simi Valley

I can’t recommend this place enough! Walked in with the usual «guard up» when walking onto a dealership. Right away met Mr. (Collin?) Crawford, he asks how can he help. I at least replied «just looking». Mr. Crawford kept cool and asked anything in mind? «Well yes she would like to see about a Kia Soul» I replied. We were shown the whole line from the basic on up to the high end, even one with the technology package which was pretty sweet. We definitely knew what we wanted, but was unsure if we could make this work or not with lease or buy as credit is not as good as could be for a car purchase. However pouring money into keeping our old vehicles was getting out of hand.
Mr. Crawford was assisted by a wonderful gentleman named Tim. He assisted in crunching the numbers and the conversations we had the whole time we were here was just excellent. I’d go on record and call these 2 guys friends. We were also assisted by Mr. Bobby B (another new friend), an outstanding man who came back with some numbers more than what we wanted to do at this time. Not a problem, we stepped down a notch on features and Mr. Tim brought up a model and parked it by the door. It’s in the price range where I wanted to be for my wife. But before we crunch the numbers again to see if this will work, it was suggested we at least test drive. As if it were meant to be, when we walked outside the color and interior were exactly what she wanted! Car had amazing handling, everything we’re looking for. Mr. Crawford knew the insides and outs on the vehicle, answered my questions with ease. Even later mentioned a feature on another vehicle I may consider down the road.
When we returned Mr. Bobby B came back with some really great news. Not only did we come in on an affordable payment we wanted but an amazing interest rate also got to keep our trade in as well! I was blown away by the magic Bobby was able to do… Wow. From then we signed off and went into «finance» which historically is a major time suck and headache. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name but his record was something like 10 minutes and 28 seconds. I will go on record and promise you we walked in and sat down and were back out in 5 minutes flat!!!
We owe a huge thank you to Mr. Crawford, Mr. Tim and Mr. Bobby B! I would definitely buy a car from these guys again just as soon as I my lease is up on another brand I got just a week ago.

After having horrible luck with the Kia dealer in Ventura, I went to Kia in Simi Valley. Before I went in I called to make sure they had what I was looking for. Ian was very nice, and knowledgeable. He was very helpful throughout the entire process. I also interacted with Jesse, and he too was very helpful. Ian understood what I was looking for and and made it all very easy. Ended up buying a certified pre owned with only 9k miles. Only bummer is I wasn’t offered a carfax report on it, but hopefully I can call him tomorrow and have one sent to me. I would most certainly go back and would definitely send my friends and family in to see him as well.

Today I recievied excellent service from the first kia service department. I believe when a business treats you well, they deserve recognition!
Chris from the service department went above and beyond today to help me out. I came to the service department as a drop in without an appointment. The low tire pressure warning was indicating it was time for one of the tires to get some more air. I was unable to figure out which tire as I do not have a tire pressure gauge. I was hoping to quickly find out which tire was out of air, and I expected to have to go fill it on my own.
Not only did Chris take the time to diagnose which tire was underinflated, he took the extra time to fill the tire for me in an expedited fashion. Blown away today by chris’ helpfulness!

I have two amazing Sales rep and both of there names starts with Collin! I bought my first car Kia Optima 2016 & they walked me through all the needs of the car, of course that incudes test drive. Which was beyond fantastic. I have no bad thing to say to them; they were both funny & friendly sales rep i have ever encounter; they werent pushy either, thats whats so cool about them. They worked hard, all day to find me the best deals on my budget. I am definitely coming back for those two. Thank you guys !

Colin is a super star! Let me test drive the cars that I had my mind on, made options possible for me and had a great attitude through and through. I will definitely be coming back to Colin for my car purchasing needs! :)

I was decently satisfied with buying our first ever car here (well an SUV!)
paperwork itself only took 10 minutes and 28 seconds (we were timed so we could see just how fast they really are!)
Our guy was Tim. He was extremely helpful! Great attitude, ready to help and made us feel confident in the car we went to see. We had spoken to him via a phone call the day before also and he remembered everything we had asked for.
Now the only con is:
We didn’t notice until the 90 minute drive home was over, but we are missing the drivers side floor mat and the spare key. Obviously this is frustrating as we spent an awful lot of money already. Hoping this can be resolved.

We’ve always had a great experience here. We just bought our second Kia, and everything with the sales process was very easy and smooth. Omar was our sales person and he took care of everything perfectly. We’d highly recommend First Kia and the whole First Auto Group!

I walked out when the guy who claims to be the sales manager looked at me like the RCA Victor Dog when I asked about the incentive programs. He said «what incentive programs?»
When I listed them, he said, «oh, THOSE incentive programs.» He said he would check and SUDDENLY came back with the value of those incentives quicker than he could have ever looked them up.
When you’re at a dealership and they claim poverty, and treat you like a patsy, use up as much of their time as you can with a test drive and negotiation and walk out on them. For a sales manager to give anyone that RCA Victor Dog tilted head look is reprehensible.
And by the way, the showroom was EMPTY on the weekend that I was there. The place looks like a run down fried chicken place. Like a used car dealership. The place is an eyesore and the people are shysters.

Omar helped us get a Scion xB today and made it an amazing first experience buying a car. He was incredibly attentive and very helpful. Definitely recommend you see him if you’re thinking about purchasing a car. Couldn’t have had a better experience with him

Great experience buying a car through Kia of Simi Valley. Sid was more than helpful and understood and how far we drove to check out the car and was able to give us a great deal. The Carfax matched the vin # and the car was clean and in excellent condition! Thanks Sid & Kia for everything!

I went into 1^st Kia of Simi Valley on Sunday to buy a used car. Omar greeted myself, my mom and my boyfriend as we walked up. He took us around the lot and I didn’t see anything I liked. He then introduced us to George, his finance manager. He checked inventory for us and then informed us that the 2 other dealerships up the street were theirs also and we could look on those lots. We hopped in a car with Omar and he drove us down the street. I found a 2013 Honda Civic EX-​L that I really liked. We went back to 1^st Kia and started filling out paper work and talking numbers. George was very clear in explaining things to us and both him and Omar were very hospitable. They made sure all 3 of us were comfortable and offered us drinks and something to eat while we were working on the deal. They got my payment down to a comfortable number. Even though we were there for a long time, which is normal, it didn’t really seem like it to me. Omar was very funny and kept us laughing. I would highly recommend buying a car from him and dealing with George.

They have the best service department. Justin is always so friendly and helpful. I work in Simi Valley and live in the Valley I tried to get my car serviced by the Kia dealership around my area only but I had no luck. I called Kia first they got me in on the day that I wanted. Beyond friendly staff and they also have a really cool shuttle service. I will be going back :)

Robyn, Justin and the service crew at 1ST KIA are amazing. They are always helpful and always cordial.

The service dept is so awesome. Vince went above and beyond for me. Robyn and Debbie are great. They are so nice. I called Robyn and I told her that I was in a hurry and she made sure that my car was ready. It was an easy check out! Thank you!

If I could give no stars I would. Purchased a car through first Kia Simi Valley .A week into it my car didn’t feel right so I took it to the service center and they told me no there is NOTHING WRONG with it. They are the experts so I took there word. A week went by and something still didn’t feel right so again I went back and they said there was nothing wrong. Well now a few months of having my car it turns out my transmission is bad. It’s going to cost over 1200 to fix .! They sold me a bad car !!! My commute to work is less then 5 miles and i don’t drive it so it doesn’t add up. I’m honestly so disappointed and I can’t believe anyone could do that. I work full time to put myself through school so now I’m stuck with no car and a car payment for a car that doesn’t work. I feel like a was taken advantage of .

Bad news: My car was totaled.
Good news: I had to buy a new car.
I decided to check out KIA as they are rockin’ it in racing right now!
My experience at the dealership was friendly and relaxed. My salesman Derrick Shima was low pressure and accommodating, and his manager Bob Busick immediately found common ground crunching the numbers.
When cars sit on lots, tires can get a flat spot and go out of balance. We returned the next day to address this and were attended to quickly by the folks in service, given a ride home and our car was delivered to our front door afterward–
If you wanted to be treated well go see these guys!

Firstly, Derrick Shima. Great salesperson, leased me my first Kia which in turn made me a Kia fan.
My lease is up next year and I got repeated emails to the effect «we need your car», etc, lower your payments, bla bla. So I came in and Derrick found me a great upgraded model and then the sales manager or whomever came into the picture. I did not expect free upgrades or anything else but this guy came off with a «doing me a favor» attitude and acted as though I was unreasonable.
They invited me in to make a new deal and then this guy threw confusion and insult in the mix. Made double talk, obfuscation and old school car tricks part of the equation and utterly wasted my time.
I’ll be back to deal with Derrick when my lease is up early next year and hope that manager/​whatever is not there. I won’t be dealing with him, period.

Thank you Johnny Kia for your apologies, oh wait you NEVER once apologized. But its a little too late, just went to CarMax in Oxnard and had the most POSITIVE car buying experience ever! I highly recommend CarMax in Oxnard to everyone who wants to be treated with respect and who wants a stress free car buying experience. My sales consultant, Ralph Metz, not only helped me with financing but he never gave up on me! He kept in constant communication with me and made this the best experience ever! So thank you 1^st Kia for treating me like a second class citizen as it pushed me to look elsewhere to buy my car! I am now a truly happy camper!
