We are a multifunctional facility located at 131 West Easy Street, in Simi Valley California. (Photo Gallery) We are the highly successful training center for the Titans, an elite Tier-​level youth travel ice hockey club, and the Mariners youth hockey club.

With world class trainers and coaches on staff we offer instruction in hockey, figure skating, off-​ice strength training and agility, curling, speed skating, synchronized skating, and ice theater on two sheets of ice (NHL and Olympic).

We have professional show lighting ready for use in film shoots, movie productions, and full-​scale ice shows. Come join us for your special event we offer many discounts for groups and know how to throw a great birthday party. We also are avid donors to non-​profits and do many fundraisers for our local community and youth groups.

Scott Slinger President of Iceoplex Ice Skating Rink.

After volunteering on Simi Valley’s Youth Employment Service advisory Board for the past two years, Slinger said, he wanted to give the city’s young people a fun alternative to pricey summer entertainment.

«Everything is expensive for the kids,» said Slinger, who recently helped out at a job fair aimed at youths. «There are not a lot of jobs. I sat down with my staff and said, ‘There’s something we can do.’ When (the kids) have too much time on their hands, they get in trouble.»

this rink really needs a make over, the kings come here! i would think they expect a little better in how the rink is managed as far as the rink it self. the boards are terrible from the outside need to be cleaned and replaced as they are the same boards that went in when this the concrete slab was set! there are a lot of concrete holes around in the rubber mats again Concrete and ICE SKATES do not mix.
couple things, replace the boards, seal them between the boards and the outside perimeter, replace mats and cover up spots where skates are required, patch holes and repaint other than a couple of cosmetic things it can be better. the back zamboni storage area is in dire need of a makeover.

There was an ISI competition in Pasadena this weekend and the team from Simi Valley showed no sportsmanship or professionalism. In no way did they reflect the spirit of competing. a bad reflection of this rink and their coaching staff in general.

I think this rink has it all and have been coming since I was a kid! Two different rinks and a great pro shop and snack shack. Everyone I’ve encountered is super nice and helpful. I love the different productions the kids do each year and it’s great that this rink opens itself up to host competitions.

Took my 4 kids ice skating for the first time and they had a blast at this skating arena. All 4 of them skated for hours and it was cute how they used those metal helping bars to get around the ice. Today it was only $ 12 per person and that included ice skates. The admission was for a 4 hour session. I would definitely bring them back!

Overall score: 4 out of 5 stars. Rating based on attendance to a college hockey game.
Pros: 2 rinks where you can skate. Stands and bleachers where clean and had warm padding so you weren’t literally freezing your bum off =). Lots of options for warm drinks. There was an elevator available for those who need it, too.
Cons: when we walked into the rink seating area for the game, we could smell the stinky locker rooms below. It definitely made viewing the game unpleasant.

Public skating is awesome here if your coming to get a good cardio workout In come in for the afternoon skating session nobody is on the ice and it’s really relaxing.

Pretty cold rink, like Riverside’s, but not quite the meat locker of KHS-​B. Stands are elevated to view the games with plenty of seating. NHL and Olympic size rinks (at the Olympic one).
Snack bar is decent and warmer than around the rink. Some offerings not prepped up yet (9 AM), like hot dogs and popcorn. TV on for those bringing siblings that prefer Nickelodeon than the game and with four-​chair-​tables (about a half dozen) so they can color or goof around on.
Pro-​shop is sparse in gear but can sharpen skates (like Yorba Linda Rinks). Some sticks & tape, but nothing else in quantity.
Locker rooms are spacious enough. Using #3. Showers and bathroom attached to it. Close to bench so no long haul like at Lakewood (sometimes), Riverside, or Oxnard. Very «fragrant,» however, like KHS. Face off circles and dots are tough to view. Serious fading of all paint as the game progresses.
Parking is ample but may be a walk to entrance, like Lakewood. Only one door listed as entrance with a half dozen exit doors, likely meant for paying during public skates. No squawking if pulling a Led Zeppelin and doing an «In Through the Out Door» for hockey so a double door can be had.
Good rink. More a 3.5 than a three. Hold backs are the small pro-​shop, parking situation, tough view of face off dots, and «aroma.»

Went with my sister and her kids for the first time to skate. Wasn’t sure if I was even able to, thought I’d at least try. $ 9.50 for an adult, plus $ 3.75 for skate rentals. I put my skates on and knew right away this wasn’t going to work for me, the skates were I’ll fitting, I didn’t even go out on the ice. Turned my skates in and was informed they have a zero refund policy. Hadn’t even been there 10 minutes. Interesting, I just got completely screwed out of $ 13 bucks. I think that’s just bad business. My fault for thinking they would be understanding, and not reading the fine print. I will not recommend this place, nor will I return.

I had my daughters birthday party here and it was a perfect experience. Kathy, the coordinator is so helpful and enthusiastic and organized, running the party flawlessly. Their prices are fair and includes everything you need. We recently returned for another party and it was equally fantastic. The rinks are clean and fun and obviously VERY cold. Bundle up and take your family and friends for a lot of fun!

The rink here is 100% colder then any ice rink in SoCal! Hands down with my 3 – 5 layers on with a blanket I still have goose bumps! But the ice is well kept and the JR kings play games there too.
The pro shop is small but has a lot of new gear as well as used kings gear.
And you actually can get out of the cold with a place upstairs behind glass but it’s not the same to watch games at
But they do sell coffee and hot chocolate so I’m good

It’s interesting reading some reviews in here and just laughing about them. Our family has been coming here for the last 8 months. We come for the six year old leagues, hockey clinics and family free skate. We also come for group and private lessons. This place feels like we are pulling into our home every time we come, which is about three times per week. The staff has been amazing and supportive. We see the same customers and staff faces every time we come. This rink has been here for a while but that’s it’s character, the ice is very well maintained. There are world class figure skating and hockey coaches. They are people who actually care and are super friendly, they obviously aren’t here for the money. It seems like there are bday parties every weekend and those rookie skaters all have smiles. I have been using their rental skates for myself and they are in pretty good shape. They have laces and are broken in, blades are always sharp. There are two rinks NHL and Olympic so the place never feels to crowded.

Well I’m back. The owners have made a noticeable effort to improve this rink. It’s a bit cleaner and the sound system on the Olympic ice has been upgraded. I also like the locker room upgrade at least on the NHL side. I haven’t seen the Olympic side yet. The snack bar is a bit improved also more offerings at least. It would be great if they paired with a local pizza shop or sandwich place and offered some substantial fare. Good work! I hope they continue to make improvements this place has potential.

My son was in an LA Kings promotion and was told he needed hockey skating lessons before he can join the in house team. This was last summer. So far I missed a session because the director told me it started later because they were making up for missed holiday classes. I called back when he said to two months later, they already started the session, the one he said was delayed one month. Now he won’t return my calls to get my son in the lessons. I went in person and the office staff didn’t know about the program! Apparently they don’t want any more business. I can’t believe how hard they’re making this, especially when they send promotional emails constantly.

Took my 5 year old skating for the first time. I rented skates for both of us. My son had an amazing time and the hockey skates I rented although a little dull were good enough for me to cruise around slowly while my son got used to it. Liked the walkers that were available to help the little ones stay on their feet while they learn.
I would definitely recommend this as a good day out — especially as there are 2 rinks so there is often open skating available.
The staff were friendly and the Pro Shop guy was helpful when I enquired about buying skates.

I have been playing ice hockey here for about 10 years. It is a decent establishment with Olympic and NHL size rinks. The locker rooms are not in the best of keep as you get hockey teams of all ages from young guys that like to spit all over the place to beer leaguers that leave their mess lingering. The ice quality is pretty good and of all of the places I’ve skated in the area, it is second only to Valencia.
The pro shop is pretty small but they are great for the pre-​game sharpening and small accessories. For larger equipment and sticks, they are a bit pricey so I would avoid shopping unless I need something immediately.
They are taking steps to making it a lot better for parties and public skaters including a better snack area which will now be serving alcohol. It may not be much on the outside, or inside for that matter, but it’s a fun place to go with friends and to play hockey.
It’s a place I look forward to going to once a week.

Tip: Whenever booking anything, as for a manager instead of regular staff. They don’t know anything and deny ever saying otherwise.
My friend booked a rink intending to play broom ball for my birthday. At initial booking, they said that they accommodate for this activity and they even had a huge banner on their webpage (nowhere does it say to bring your own equipment). When we get there, we have to wait for the rink to clear after a little league game. All the while, no one informs us that there’s no supplies. After we get on the ice, we ask for the equipment and that’s when they finally informed us that (for legal reasons), they don’t supply anything. We waited for about an hour because there wasn’t an onsite manager only to be told that they couldn’t honor a refund. What BS!

This place is pretty terrific.
I like going ice skating… but alas, never have anyone to go with since no one I know knows how to ice skate. I guess, it’s because when I was a little kid I used to take ice skating lessons… and wanted to be an ice skater. I was very into that for a period of time… but apparently no one else was?!
It’s fun though and definitely feels very freeing…
This place is great… since it’s really hidden and usually isn’t very crowded. I’m pretty sure there are two rinks here… one that is usually open to the public and the other that is closed for lessons or hockey.
Other than that, I don’t know. It’s fun! :)

I try to skate at all the area ice rinks and I’m working my way through playing hockey at all of them. I gave the Iceoplex a shot going to their Friday night pick-​ups.
Some very skilled players, mostly above my level, but I have to admit the other guys gave me equal time with the puck passing to me through out the game.
Having said that, they were socially very clique oriented. And not terribly friendly in the locker room. I felt out of place as they talked to each other like old friends.
Most rinks, in my experience (and I’ve played at quite few), the guys are fairly social. Not so here.
The physical quality of the rink and locker rooms is fairly poor.
But if you want equal playing and puck time I’d consider playing here.

I grew up skating at this rink…
Sharks Ice it is not… much smaller. It has two rinks and is always very cold! There are vending machines in the way back, and rooms for parties. I have my 12th birthday here, but of course I spent many hours here a week. They have excellent teachers, and the staff are usually pretty friendly. The public skating doesn’t get too extremely busy compared to some rinks, but there are always a good amount of people here. It is a little out of the way to get to, but it holds a dear place in my heart, =)
