Pixelated Perspectives enjoys interacting with people, whether it be a traditional family portrait, a fun personalized shoot, or to represent an event or important happening. We specialize in portraits, events, and landscape photography, but have stepped outside these bounds and produced some amazing work.

We have a small studio at home, a retail space and studio at Community Marketplace in Moorpark and will also work on location. John especially enjoys working outdoors! To this point we’ve not encountered a location that has scared us away, although we may have suggested other possibilities. Either way, we strive to do what the customer is looking for in the most beautiful and satisfying way.

History

Established in 2014.

After both losing careers as a result of the financial downturn of ’08 & ’09, John and Laura both went back to school and focused on what they needed to do to open their own business. They both enjoy people and look forward to helping others have a better day, even if it’s just with a smile.

We’ve had a number of bumps in the road, but always persevere and have built a company we’re both proud of and look forward to working it each and every day. No more corporate America for this couple! Although we both recognize the need for large companies, we believe in mom & pop, small business and have found a passion that allows us to do what we want while still raising a family and enjoying life.

Business Owner

John opened this business with his wife Laura and the two of them have enjoyed working together to make this a photography business that not only keeps them happy and paying the bills, but allows them to interact with others and hopefully bring some joy into their lives as well.

John has been making images for many years and has studied at Moorpark College as well as many classes through UCLA, Samy’s Camera, and other industry courses and seminars. His most cherished accomplishments are those that bring smiles to other peoples faces and his Fine Art Photography which he tries to display in his retail space as well as small galleries in and around the Los Angeles area.
