I really like this place. It seems like a small, family run locals bar, which is always nice to see. I was here the day before St Patrick’s but the bartender told me they are going to have 180lbs of corned beef tomorrow! Typical Irish beers like Guinness and Smithwicks, but quality craft beer as well like Dogfish Head 90 minute and Sweetwater IPA. THETVS were had soccer and ESPN but there was also a tv dedicated to trivia, like one would see at Buffalo Wild Wings. I had the Zane burger and it was awesome. Big as hell and juicy to the last drop. The only other«Irish» food I saw was Fish and Chips, otherwise it was standard burgers and wings. I would come here anytime. They have dart boards and a pool table for you bar games. I played some darts for a while and had a great time. Highly recommended.

I’ve been going to Sherby’s off and on ever since it opened 5 or 6 years ago. It’s a great place to kick back with a drink and get some food. Mickey and Claire are the owners and both say they’re the one who does all the work. They have a good bar stuff and a great selection of beer on tap. The food is mostly better than typical bar food. I suggest trying the ribs or timken wings and potato salad. You can’t go wrong with those. They have trivia that you can find a lot of the regulars playing every night you get there so if you’re competitive give it a shot. If you’re lucky enough you might even win a free beer. The only drawback is parking because their lot has limited spaces but there’s a few other places you can park at close by if you look for them. Don’t park at the doctor’s office next door though, they will tow you anytime of day or night. Overall if you want a nice night out with a few friends you won’t be disappointed with Sherby’s.

I was a fan of Shirby’s Rib Shack when I was young and have been a regular at Shirby’s Pub ever sence I reached that glorious drinking age. I’m going to keep it short and sweet here. Shirby’s Pub is a hometown community pub. Every time I go in, I run into a handful of old friends, so I am always in good company. Hell, I ran into an old childhood friend that I hadn’t seen seen in 8 years one time. I’ve grown to know and love all of the staff, and have a true sense of home when I am there. The drinks are well priced, and everything on the menu is good. Be sure to try the pork shanks, which aren’t on the menu. They are to die for. There is plenty to do there inclucing: pool tables, table shuffleboard, and darts. The bar is very open with plenty of space(that doesn’t mean it doesn’t fill up on the weekends), and being an Irish pub, has a dark green glow to the place which I have come to find pleasantly familiar. Monday’s are DJ trivia, Tuesday pool tournaments, Wednesday karaōke, and Thursday live bands. Weekends are busy enough by themselves. It is tucked away out of eyesight, which keeps it local and holds it to it’s community feeling. Everyone is there to have a good time, and I have never had a bad experience. Trust me, I’ve been more times than I count. It is always my first stop when I’m coming back into town, and my last stop when I leave. Shirby’s Pub is something I truly miss about my hometown, so I owe it the justice of adding it to Unilocal and preaching the truth.
