Express Care

I had a horrible experience here. The employees were friendly enough but the service was awful. I had my car inspected and they had no inspection stickers. I came back the next day and they take my car to a garage about a mile away to have them put the inspection sticker on my car. The guy was gone almost an hour with my car. I do work and have other obligations, this was the worst. I needed tires to pass inspection and was told he’d beat anyone’s price… of course, I called Walmart and bear their price by more than a little so… It is what it is I will never return nor recommend anyone to go there

The owner Steve was VERY disrespectful to me and did not properly fix my car.
As soon as I paid, we walked to my car & it didn’t start. Then he said, «I could have bet my life your car wasn’t gonna start.»
THEN he suggested I go elsewhere AFTER he had already charged my card card 300 BUCKS.
SHOULD BE ASHAMED… HORRIBLE

Expresscare in Sinking Spring — Steve was great. I like that it is not a franchise, that it is locally owned and operated. The techs were knowledgeable, courteous and neat.

Express Care DOESN’T CARE! I happened to take my car here by chance to have the brakes checked, and the back axle had to be replaced. It cost me close to $ 600 but it was finished within a few hours.
The following week I took my car to a different shop for an oil change, using a coupon that I had received in the mail. The oil change shop let me know that my new caliper that had been installed by Express Care was a bad piece (no one’s fault) but should be replaced immediately under warranty. It was very unsafe for me to drive the car at all, because the caliper was leaking brake fluid. So I returned to Express Care to have them check it out, and that is when the harassment began.
They refused to remove the tire in order to properly see the leaking caliper, and insisted that it was just residual fluid from a new part being installed, which is fine, but the following interactions were unprofessional and down right intimidating. I asked the man in charge, I believe his name was Steve, if he could print me a summary of what they inspected, to keep for my personal records as well as to provide proof to my boss because I had to take time off work to make the visit. Steve flat out refused my request FOUR times and finally said that my boss was being ridiculous and that he would get him on the phone right then and there.
Steve then approached me and said, «And one more thing, why would you take your car to a different shop for the oil change?!» That completely crossed the line. Steve was trying to bully me, so after leaving I got in touch with the Valvoline corporation. Unfortunately this particular shop is a franchise, so the best corporate could do was get in touch with the franchise owner, and hope that he would contact me with an apology. However, I NEVER received any form of contact, and returned the following week to complain again in order to have my caliper replaced under the warranty.
This time Steve was not present, and the part was replaced wordlessly and I was sent on my way. All I can say is that I have never been treated in this unprofessional and intimidating manner in any other business interaction, and I will warn everyone else now: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO EXPRESS CARE!

Steve the owner is the BEST. Been living in the area for 4 years and have been using him for all my oil changes and minor repairs — tires, brakes and the such. Never a problem. Just had two tires put on my wifes minivan — quality work at a fair price — if you are looking for a «cheap» mechanic — go somewhere else… he is a fair mechanic that does it right the first time with zero headaches — exactly what I am looking for at all times

I have used several of these services in and around the city but Steve (the owner) takes care better than anyone. He is quick, attentive and friendly. I do enjoy doing business here. I travel a lot so I have to depend on top notch maintenance for my car and I trust it at Steve’s shop. From Oil and Lube to bigger jobs if needed his crew can do and do it right.
