Suttle Lake Resort Restaurant & Marina

Went for the day to rent a boat and fish. Unfortunately nothing caught but beautiful scenery and great way to spend the day. The worst part about the experience was that our motor died on the boat and had to row back, it took an hour and a half to get back to the dock, fighting the wind. The staff was really great and we parted on a great note. Will come back for sure.

I have stayed at several five star resorts and this is as good, if not better than any of them. The staff is amazing, the place is beautiful and you can’t beat the location. This was our third stay there and we will be back!!!

Worst restaurant experience of my life. The waitress told me I had no choice but to pay 22℅ gratuity and added it to my bill. It was a quiet day with lots of tables open but still took 30 minutes to be seated and 1hr to get our food. Bread was old/​dry, food was overpriced, service was extremely slow. Asked for water 3 times before I received it. Asked for my bill twice.
I was told by the one other friendly staff member that a manager will call me. I called her back and she said the manager has a note but just has not called.
Don’t go there. Trust me. Such a beautiful place, but horrible service.

I don’t know why so many bad reviews. We loved every minute here. Friendly and helpful staff. Wine and fruit/​cheese social every night. They can order masseuses to come and give you a massage by the lake. Fresh baked cookies, fresh coffee and amazing scenery. What’s not to love? Oh yah, the restaurant. Yah, not a fan. Waste of money. BBQ at the cabin and save the money.

I should have guessed from the empty toilet paper dispenser in the lodge restroom that the restaurant service would be lousy. After twenty minutes and no coffee we had to leave. This is a beautiful facility and lake but not a happy visit for us.

Terrible service, mediocre food, nice view.

After a very cool morning of paddle boarding & kayaking on Suttle Lake we decided to try this restaurant with it’s pretty deck. It’s interior is also very pretty and we were greeted nicely. That’s where it ends. It took over 15 minutes to get our drink order, and this is not a big place nor were there a lot of tables, maybe 4 tables, with two waitresses, and I think a manager, not sure who she was. To get our food order took even longer, overall it was nearly 45 minutes before we saw our disappointing fish and chips which was very oily with soggy fries for $ 14 dollars each plate. We did receive a complimentary drink from the waitress which was nice, but then she seemed to disappear, and never checked back. My husband had to get up and go inside to ask for our check, that’s how bad the service was. Extremely poor service, poor food, and spendy. We left saying next time, we would pack tuna fish sandwiches and some juice boxes in a zip lock bag to take on the lake. What a shame, it is a very pretty place, but that’s all this restaurant had going for it. For the amount of staff (3) available for this small restaurant with a deck, there is no excuse for lazy and poor service.

First time in Sisters, OR and we decide to stay at Suttle Lake Resort. We opted for the small cabin at a pretty fair price per night. It’s a perfect way feel to like your camping without having to sleep in a tent freezing your buns off at night. The next day, we decided to try out the Suttle Lake resort boathouse restaurant. This little restaurant is set right on Suttle Lake and is the most inviting place. Just love how cool it was. Super cozy and private. The exterior and interior was very clean. We had the steak and bacon club sandwich with herb fries and it was really good. Plus we got a window seat that overlooks the lake and it was stunning. Service was great too. For a camping place, we were pleasantly surprised how clean it was and how good the food was. We’d come back again.
