Advanced Auto Body has provided the Skokie area with premium quality body and mechanical work since 1983. Located in Skokie’s business district, Advanced Auto is conveniently located in-​between Touhy and Howard. The owners are comprised of two brothers– Johnson and Freddy. Each car that is received by Advanced Auto Body is cared for as though it is their own.

When I found Advanced Auto Body, I was very impressed by both the reviews and website. I usually would need more to give someone such a big job, but I went with my gut & was TOTALLY RIGHT. Freddy took care of me start to finish, and his estimate was right in line with my insurance company. He kept me in the loop the whole time even texting me pictures of our progress. I picked up my car today, and could not be happier! They even fixed a few paint scratches for me at no extra charge! Nice to have an auto body place I can trust in all regards!

Great people here. I was hit and run by someone who cannot parallel park which put a big dent on my rear bumper. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover hit an run as there are so witnesses. They fixed it up for me at a very reasonable price and touch up the damage so it is not so obvious.

This auto body shop is by far the best in the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. My car was basically totaled and they transformed it to make it look brand spanking new. The attention to detail and the professional mechanical work is spot on! I am thrilled that they were willing to take on such a crazy project and I am extremely impressed with how well the car turned out. This is the second time, i have taken my car here. Befotr i had a hit in run. Came in to see johnson, the rear bumper, and the bumber on the drivers side was broken. He fixed it, and looked brand new. I was recently rear ended. The person insurance was paying for it. Dropped the car at advanced auto body on monday, they took care of everything. Progressive appraisal came in, met with johnson on tuesday. Friday i pick up the car. Good as new. The place is very friendly, its very clean. They do a very good job, and very clean. Car looks good. Drives great. They are very clean. I have recommended them to all my friends and family. I recommend them to everyone else.

These guys are great! My car wasn’t passing the emissions test and another mechanic couldn’t figure out why after two months (I failed and then got rejected twice before I went somewhere else). With three days left before I had to go back to college, I called them expecting them to turn me away like the last three places I called did. Instead, Freddy let me drop off the car super late on Tuesday night (there was a mail slot for me to drop off my key and some info) and called me back Wednesday afternoon to tell me what he could do for me. Long story short, the car was ready by noon that Thursday. They even took it for the emissions test I needed to do (and passed, of course).
I can’t say much about whether the price was accurate or not because I don’t know anything about cars. But, honestly, given how fast they got my car fixed and the fact that I’ve been putting off all but the «if you don’t fix this, you’ll probably die» type of repairs for many years, I was more than happy to pay what they asked for.
Also, everyone I talked to was super nice. I wasn’t sure if I could make it there in time on Thursday before they closed since almost everyone I know was working. Freddy offered to have Johnson come pick me up from my house! I ended up getting a ride from a friend who answer back last minute but the fact still stands that no one has been more accommodating than these guys. I’ll definitely be back! :)

The people at Advanced were great with getting my car fixed quickly. Johnson gave me great advice on how to deal with my damage in the most time productive, cost efficient way and he was true to his word on numbers and repair time. The staff is welcoming and friendly and I’m glad I found them!

I had my Camaro taken in and the Guy Freddy told me not to worry and that he’d treat it like it was his. Every two days he contacted me to get an update and one week later my car was returned to me like brand new.

I was in a typical 3 car expressway accident recently and needed to find an autobody shop to repair the damages. I ended up getting the car back as good as new. They did great work and had outstanding customer service. My only issue was that I asked to have the battery replaced, twice, because I knew it was damaged in the accident. I was told that it would be. However, once I got the car back it wasn’t starting properly. I checked on the battery and it was still the old, slightly damaged one. I replaced it myself and now car works great.

I took my Hyundai Sonata to Advanced Auto Body Shop to replace front hood which was damaged by collision. They did everything for me from arranging car rental, to getting additional damage claim approved from StateFarm, and painting rear bumper which was not related to the accident.
People at Advanced Auto Body are customer oriented, friendly, and easy to work with. They will listen to you and try to solve your problem. Highly recommend.

My car was in an accident a few months ago which made my front bumper and one of side light broken. I have some places around the area estimate the cost, and this place gave the most reasonable price with decent job. Quite happy with the results and although I hope I won’t come back (which means I have to fix it again), I will definitely recommend this place to people I know.

I have been coming to Advanced Auto Body for years. Every time I stray (I live in Des Plaines; the only reason why I would even think to!), I regret it immediately.
There is no other body shop in the area that provides such honest, quality service. It’s even better to know that it’s a family run business; including appearances of the owners dogs! They give you the best prices and you never have to worry about hidden up charges. I’ve had mostly body work done here and big maintenance services. They are fast, efficient and almost 100,000 miles later my car is running like brand new !
