CMD is a Custom Stone fabrication shop that produces highest end craftsmanship and material. We offer products such as Granite, Marble, Limestone, Quartzite, SIlestone, Caesarstone, Hanstone, LG VIatera, Okite and any other stone products. From coming out to do a field measure to installing it takes only 4 – 7 business days for you to have brand new countertops.

We also specialize in custom showers, integrated sinks, coffee tables, and bars. We work with individuals and restaurants to customize your new interior look.

History

Established in 1999.

Custom Marble Design was founded in 1999 in Chicago. Since then, it has grown into a multi-​million dollar company. Custom Marble Designs handles all types of projects, from residential work to large union scale building projects. Our team of professionals have successfully completed commercial projects, including hotels, restaurants, night clubs, and office buildings. We have worked with top designers over the years. More recently, our business growth has been fueled by the increased demand for natural stone in residential projects. Thus, we have created one of the largest inventories of unique and exotic stones in the region.

Our strongest attributes are customer satisfaction and quality products. The modern combination of European countertop fabrication and Classical design of granite and marble products, that we offer, is in demand in today’s world. I started Custom Marble Design back in 1999 working as a sales person. Due to high demand and love of the customer satisfaction, I took an extra step right out of college to try opening a business and making my own venture. I studied International Business and Marketing at North Park University in Chicago. I was on a Men’s Basketball team for 4 years, joined Volleyball team in High School and won the city championship. I love traveling and visiting different cultures and countries. Always ready for great friends to chat with over a bottle of wine and some good food. I contacted Custom Marble in January 2016 to ask about a new counter, sink and backsplash for my kitchen. Bojan was fast to respond to my emails and I went to their shop to look at samples. My husband and I chose a white quartz and a new sink. We also had Bojan coordinate someone to install a new tile backsplash. Everything went well and I’m very happy with my new kitchen.

I have now remodeled two kitchens using Custom Marble Design, and both kitchens came out looking great. The entire team is made up of extremely knowledgeable professionals with expertise in stone installations, cutting, and nuanced designs. I couldn’t recommend CMD more.

We used Custom Marble Design for the surround on our fireplace, the counter tops in our master and guest baths, and also for my husband’s custom bar. Taking advice from the reviews I read on Unilocal,we went in and asked to see some slabs first. Bojan showed us a wide array of what was available based off what I wanted. We got lucky and found 2 pieces that worked for the fireplace (Brazilian Quartzite) and Master Bath (we used the same quartzite), as well as for the kids bath (white quartz). He gave us a fair price and even though we were having a ton of work done and the scheduling was crazy, he worked with us to get our slabs cut and installed when we wanted and needed them.
We then needed a piece of stone for the bar — he showed us a gorgeous piece of marble and again gave us a good price. It was cut and installed within a couple days and we absolutely love it.
When the seal was coming undone (the caulk seal) in our bathroom, he sent his guys out to redo the seal. And when we had to remove the counter top to place on a new vanity, he sent his guys out at a discounted price to do the work a second time.
Bojan and his team are really great to work with. Bojan is always very quick to return my emails and phone calls, and he really knows his stuff. He has a great selection of remnant slabs, which I have taken advantage of, but obviously can get you whatever you want/​need.
Their customer service is excellent and pricing is great — I highly recommend Custom Marble Design and when we expand our kitchen and add our new Master Suite in a year or two, you know who we will be calling!

Bojan and his highly skilled team at Custom Marble Design just fabricated and installed a «drop dead gorgeous» countertop in my kitchen. CMD was easy to work with and had plenty of ideas along the way to guide me though the process. My biggest worry was matching the veins in my stone and they did it PERFECTLY! I just can’t say enough about Custom Marble Design. They will always be my go to stone fabricators in the future.

Kathie helped me to chose my granite top. Very knowledgeable and sweet. Bojan was great! He squeezed me in for a measurement and then helped me stay with in my budget to make it work.
When I made the appointments they came as stated. The installation was seamless. Very professional and clean (they brought their own wet/​dry vac). I am very happy.

Countertop 101: Pick out the slab and stone that you want from a supplier. And THEN you find a fabricator. The fabricator will cut the slab and charge you the price. (Betcha didn’t know that!)
2÷3÷15 was the first time I contacted Bojan to fabricate my kitchen countertop. It was installed in 1 day on 9÷14÷15. What took so long, you ask? My husband and I decided that instead of hiring a GC who would upcharge ~20%, we would be the GCs instead. Mind you, this is our 1st home and the learning curve is steep. There’s a piece of us that dies every day during this 10 month (and counting) renovation.
Bojan walked us through the process and was so patient, even with multiple layout edits. Heck, he held our massive slab of quartzite in his warehouse for 7 months bc we told him we’d be ready in a few. We also wanted a mitered edge purely bc we are superficial ppl. But our bank acct hasn’t seen numbers like that since college days. Instead of scoffing at us for wanting something luxurious w/​o the funds, Bojan was willing to work with us.
I LOVE our countertop and it’s the first thing to get complimented in our home! We r definitely going to use CMD for bathrooms and fireplace. [Bojan, give us 10 months at least :)] Now go get your gorgeous countertops from CMD!

We turned to Custom Marble Design out of our frustration with Sprovieri’s Custom Counters, who we originally selected to do our countertop. The experience with Sprovieri proved difficult and disappointing as they really struggled to get the measurements and design correct. My wife found Custom Marble Design on Unilocal and saw their great reviews and reached out to them. Bojan himself came over to do the measurements as our countertop was somewhat complex due to the cooktop we were using. While his price came in higher than Sprovieri’s, we went with them anyways for two reasons. One, Bojan said he could do it in the timeframe we needed and far more importantly, we believed Bojan knew what he was doing by the questions he asked, he was far more detailed and thorough than the other guys. And during the week that followed (the deadline he promised) Bojan and his team worked very closely with my wife, having her come to his shop to verify the design, looking at drawings and making sure there were no mis-​understandings or mis-​communications. My wife is a former kitchen designer and was worried that the cut and layout she had designed was too complex. But the result when Bojan’s team installed the countertop was effortless perfection. Furthermore, it took them just 7 days from start to finish. We highly recommend them, not only is Bojan a very straight shooter and an absolute pleasure to work with, his team is enormously talented.

I cannot say enough good things about the customer service at Custom Marble Design. It was unreal how fast and attentive Bojan was at answering questions, emails, texts, you name it. Unlike other companies I had researched he was fast, reliable, and very easy to understand. The whole process from searching for him on Unilocal to having my counters installed took less than two weeks.
The supplier in Niles that he works with had a large selection of material and were also very friendly (not true for other locations (MSI) that I had looked at).
The quality of the tops and cuts made are terrific and the men who installed the them were also polite and friendly.
All around I had a very positive experience. As a first-​time home buyer I was pretty nervous going in to the whole process, but Bojan made me feel like I made a good choice working with him. I would definitely recommend Bojan and his team to anyone who was looking for new countertops.

Thank goodness for Bojan and his crew! We are finishing up a gut job on 1200 sq feet of our Lakeview condo including kitchen and master bath. Bojan came recommended through a friend and we could NOT be more pleased with his guidance, responsiveness, and skilled team. We started picking out stone we loved on our own and were quickly confused by the process and left with no options when we compared to our desired budget. Bojan guided us to slabs that were our desired style and could work for our space and WOW the result is incredible. He and his crew expertly cut and laid out the stone in ways that truly highlighted its beauty. We wish we had more places for stone in our home and could work with him more. There were a few unknowns due to appliances that had to be addressed after original install — such a relief to work with a team that knows a job isn’t done till it is done — they were back promptly and took care of what was needed — with smiles on to boot!

Several weeks ago, I began exploring the possibility of replacing Corian kitchen countertops with granite. My search began with reading Unilocal reviews of many companies. I was extremely impressed with the wonderful praises and outstanding reviews of Custom Marble Design and Bojan Arnautovic.
Bojan was extremely responsive to my many emails loaded with questions. His quote was much less than other estimates I received. It was such a pleasure to meet Bojan when he came out to do the field measurement. What a very caring and earnest professional with very high standards! The countertops were perfectly installed a week later.
By the way, this is my first « Unilocal» review, but I want to SHOUT OUT my praises for Custom Marble Design! The countertops are so beautiful, and the customer service was truly exceptional.

We were new to kitchen renovation and Bojan gave us good advice for countertop selection.
Measurement for countertop took about an hour.
Installation was scheduled and executed a week later in couple of hours.
Countertop fabrication was a perfect fit making the best of the granite slab. Single seam is almost invisible.

I contacted CMD on Saturday 2÷2÷2012 about a Marble top for a desk I had built. When I reached Bojan he was out of town, but he still made sure I was able to move ahead on my project promptly. On Monday 2÷4÷2012 I was sent to a warehouse where I was able to pick just the piece of marble I would like, even what part of the large slab I would like used. The following day 2÷5÷2012 Bojan had someone at my home to take measurements and give final requests. On 2÷12÷2012 my desk top was installed. All along the way we were given wonderful service all our calls and e-​mails were returned very promptly and the end result is exactly what I was looking for! Quick, efficient and beautiful I couldn’t ask for more.
