*4 stars– Good selection of product *4 stars– Good customer service *1 star– For me noticing that everyone is running around with their heads cut off. I mean a staff of 6 people and new girl running the register. The store wasnt even busy… but yet I walked around with my arms full of clothes before someone noticed I needed a fitting room. The 4 stars for customer service is how I was treated once they noticed I was going to buy and wanted help:)

I will not be a frequent buyer in this place, but sometimes I do. In some cases the outfit are very good quality clothes as well. have a lot of styles and many special, not to forget to mention that you have the option of using coupons they send by mail or text message if you register to receive them. one thing that should change is that some of those working have such poor customer service not all but some tend to give poor service and not help the customer, which should not be so. providing good service very helpful to the customer back.

Cheap quality but expensive. I wouldn’t recommend it. Try Banana Republic. Just a wanna be luxury brand.

They have a full men’s side and a full women’s side. This is a good place to shop if you’re a guy that needs business clothes or even suits. The workers will help you pick out the perfect outfit and match colors. They usually have all sizes and colors in stock. The girls side has a lot of dresses and casual clothes to choose from. Prices can be a little on the high side at regular price, but they usually have sales/coupons every month if you sign up for their emails.

I’m getting a bit biased with the consumerism and«brands.» Honestly, it’s difficult for me to find clothes that fit my rack. Theirs fit well, just not the price. They also lack a few more colors/patterns for shirts. Their outer layers are impressive though. They have what I will call classics(good for many occasions). Not to forget to mention, their staff will go up to you to make sure you can get help. It’s quite a warm feeling.

Not a very big selection here for men’s patterned dress shirts. Too many solid colors and slim fits.

When an associate asks you if you need help, the correct thing to do would be follow-through with that. And when you are a loyal customer to Express and especially this location, then I would expect a little more help. 1. If I forgot my coupon and bring back my receipt I should get an adjustment on that. However, I was not. I was told to return everything and purchase it again. Hell naw. — 1 star 2. When you ask me if I need help and I ask you to help me pick out outfits, and I clearly have $ 275 worth of clothing in my hand. I expect you to help me. What did I get? Manager: «Oh, what are you looking for?» Me: Some outfits can you help I want blah blah blah… Manager: «Well I like that shirt you are holding… keep looking around let me know if you need anything!»(EXITMANAGER) …“crickets” …“crickets” … OHHELLNAW. — 1 star

No sure what it is about this location, but I can never find anything good here. At every other location, I can’t seem to help but spend over $ 100 within 5 minutes of looking. But this location is just very blah. While it is a chain and many of the styles will be found at other locations, the layout and the staff just don’t do it for me. No one goes out of their way to help you and is usually busy chatting or putting clothes away. It’s almost as if you’re bothering them to ask for a size, and i never feel comfortable asking them for their opinion. I usually shop at the locations in the city, or the nearby lincolnwood store. It’s such a bummer though, because they do seem to have a larger selection.

I am a huge fan of Express. I have been a faithful customer for years and plan to continue… BUT I WILLNOTBEDOINGSOATTHISLOCATION. Every time I come to the Express at Old Orchard I have the worst experiences. I’m a very simple customer. I enter the store, see what I want, and buy it. I don’t ask many questions, if any. The problem is that this express location may have the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. Each time I go there they come up with new ways to ruin my day. I’m often over charged because the cashier is more engaged in pointless conversation with his/her colleagues than focusing on the transaction at hand. Most recently, I purchased a sweater and went home to discover that it had a horrific stain on it. When I tried to exchanged the sweater for THEEXACTSAMESWEATER the cashier claimed I would need to pay the difference for the current cost of the sweater. He was beyond rude. After speaking with the manager, I discovered that I was correct… no charge was necessary. Yeah… duh! When I addressed the customer service skills of her staff, the manager seemed concerned, but I’m betting it was all an act. If you should ever find yourself in this location, make sure you pay careful attention to your transactions, because the cashier sure won’t.

I like Express clothes but sorry your staff need some training on how not to turn away potential customers to save their numbers. A manager and sales associate attempted to employ deceptive tactics on two separate occasions in order to save their average sales. I was not a happy camper when I realized what they were trying to do.

The good: on today’s quest at Old Orchard to find a birthday present for a friend(success), I also found some early birthday presents for myself at Express(more success). WIth 20% off clearance tags, I got a military pocket, belted polka dot dress, alligator print cardigan, tank, and strapless dress all for $ 80. I can always find something here! The bad: Express just moved locations and took over the real estate that Nike used to have, so the space is a downsize. Feels a little cramped. That’s not the only change that came about: there’s no longer a men’s section either, but that’s not extremely surprising. The ugly: with only 5 or so fitting rooms, the wait ranges from too long to excruciatingly mind numbing. The staff knows it too, as they profusely apologize for the wait time. Stop apologizing, and figure out a way to work in some more fitting room space.

I do a majority of my clothes shopping when I travel. I collect postcards, pig out, and shop. I don’t even bother buying tourist souvenirs because they just cause too much clutter and collect dust, so my material momentos are post cards and clothes. I love shopping in other countries because you can spend H&M prices and still get away with having a slightly different style from your mall chain stores. I haven’t been outside of U.S. soil in about two years, so Express is a regular place to take care of my shopping needs. Clean cut, cheap, nothing too flashy, and sales all year round. One thing that’s kind of a downer with Express is, this season’s fashion is last season’s fashion in London. So sometimes when I think I pull a new look, my friend Amish just gives me the jab by telling me that look is fading out in UK already. So I have Amish bring me back some clothes from Zara and Topman when he visits his folks. Another thing, I wish Express straight cut some of the button down shirts. I’m not tall, so it just looks funny when I untuck my shirt outside my jeans, with the tail going below my donka-donk, it makes me look a lot shorter.
