WHAT A WASTE!!! This is a MALLSHOP, NOT a high-end chocolatier. You end up paying $ 50++ per pound for 2nd rate chocolate. Go to a real chocolatier in the area like Cora Lee in Glenview… and pay less than ½ that price for product that is 10X better! I almost feel liked I was robbed. Even if the price was lower, the quality level just isn’t there… again, this is a «mall shop», not a serious place.

Godiva has been around since 1926 and are known to offer a variety of Belgian chocolates. You can usually find a Godiva location in malls and such. They offer chocolate truffles, gourmet biscuits, wrapped chocolates, coffee & cocoa, chocolate bars, dark and white chocolate, and even Kosher chocolates! I’m a huge fan of their Rewards Club — when you sign up, you get a free piece of chocolate every month at a participating Godiva boutique(!), you get a free gift the following month if you spend $ 20, and you get free shipping on an online order. Woot! My favorite is the Oyster, which are two milk chocolate shells that is filled with a hazelnut praline — I love the filling as it is very creamy with a hint of hazelnut, sandwiched between milk chocolate. A nice little treat! +Oyster

Went in and signed up for the club and got a free chocolate covered cherry. Eeeeeeeyum!!! Purchased a half price box of chocolate because well, I just couldn’t help myself. I am a big girl at heart. The staff was so nice and welcoming I enjoyed chit chatting with them. Definitely going in again for a treat the chocolate is delicious!!!

I’ll just come out and say it: I’m a chocolate addict. Yes, this means I’ll eat pretty much any kind of chocolate. There are times, however, when I feel the need to really treat myself. This is where Godiva comes in. Lovely, rich, beautiful truffles with creative flavors, well stocked boutiques with a variety of treats and gifts, and friendly employees who are quick with samples… my visits are always a good experience. I recommend joining their Rewards club for a monthly free piece of chocolate and additional deals all year long. These deals come in handy around the holidays, as elegant chocolate makes a thoughtful present.

Sometimes you deserve something sweet in your life… so what not indulge yourself? I like that the quality and presentation is always consistent. It’s rich but the texture is smooth. For the truffles I enjoy the filled ones and ones decoratively shaped. The chocolate covered strawberries always make a splash as a gift. And the hot chocolate is superb on those chilly days or as holiday present. The flavors are strong but not too heavy or sickly sweet. Ugh. Much more refined. So treat yourself, Sweetie!

Love their chocolate, and their customer service! Everyone here is friendly and helpful. The best part of my visit: free monthly chocolate piece, and a delicious dark chocolate decadent shake! Mmmmmmm. Very tasty!

Was having a pretty crappy day at work and it was about 90 degrees outside with sweltering humidity. At the end of my shift, my boyfriend was very thoughtful to bring me a drink. Hmm, what is this? I thought to myself. I took a sip, and then I closed my eyes and felt like I was being whooshed away on a vacation and all my troubles melted away. Yes, this GODIVADARKCHOCOLATECHOCOLIXIR piled with whipped cream and chocolate shavings did all that for just around $ 6. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on a trip to get away from the daily chaos in your life. Just take a sip of this and then your whole day will seem so much brighter!

I’m not going to lie, it was kind of embarrassing when my friend and I were pressed up against the window, visibly debating whether or not we should get some chocolate. I had never been inside a Godiva — I knew better — until my friend told me they sell chocolate drinks, which changes everything! It was so bad that all of the employees beckoned us to come inside, and they cutely called us out for staring at the displays. My friend got the dark chocolate raspberry drink which I REALLY liked.(I think telling you that Godiva chocolate is good is an understatement.) I was more in the mood for caramel, but I didn’t want to get the offered milk chocolate caramel drink. Godiva was so nice in letting me get a custom dark chocolate with caramel drink. Let’s just say, my friend liked it so much I should have known to switch drinks with him! The best part about buying drinks from Godiva is their members’ rewards card. You get a free piece of chocolate every month! My friend and I split a(what would have been) $ 3.00 large milk chocolate with a soft center. Oh my goodness… slow blinking indeed! Thank goodness I don’t live near a Godiva!

I once bought a 24 piece box of truffles in assorted flavors from Godiva for a friend’s birthday. While I was waiting to be picked up for her party, I ate half the contents. It was a force too great to ignore. I ate the rest of it when I got back from her party, and my friend did not receive her birthday truffles. I cannot be blamed for that which I cannot control. It’s an addiction. People consider Godiva old school because there are so many new chocolate shops around, not to mention the fact that the trend has veered to cupcake shops these days. For me, though, Godiva is where I first discovered my love for chocolate covered strawberries, and it will always take me back to my college days. Do I enjoy spending 6 dollars for a single chocolate covered strawberry? Certainly not. but sometimes a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do. If you sign up for their free club cards, you get a free chocolate truffle every month. Yum. When I open a Godiva bag and stare at the chocolate inside, I literally feel a purring deep inside me, and I feel utterly happy. It is a sickness, I know, but I am not ashamed.

I spent 5 years of my childhood in Belgium(= I got pretty well acquainted with Belgian chocolate). My godmother always had a bunch at her house for post-meal sweets and I would get boxes of truffles for birthdays, Christmas, Easter, etc etc… usually Neuhaus, but some Godiva boxes sometimes too. Yes, my love affair started at a very young age… and continues to this day. White Ganache Bliss, Hazelnut Praline Truffle, Almond Praline Raindrop, Hazelnut Praline Raindrop, Twilight Swirl… these are all name equivalents for Bite-Size Happinoms! Only for Belgian chocolate do I set aside my dark chocolate loyalties(I have a serious weakness for any nut and milk chocolate praline in a white chocolate shell). The girl working signed me up for the Godiva Rewards Cards = FREE and I get a free piece of chocolate every month. Score!

I love Chocolate and i LOVE Godiva chocolate. I have been to a few stores and while all of them are great. this is my favorite store to go to of all of them. The manager Manni is such a nice guy and if you are nice to him will give you a little bit extra for your money. It may only be a nicer ribbon for your box of chocolates for your honey. But we all know that little extra ribbon can make the gift sometimes. Excelent service. Excelent chocolate perfect everything. :D

Godiva is God inspired. Just the thought of a Godiva truffle makes my mouth water. How pavlovian.
