They do a great job and I’ve never had a problem here, but for all the people who say they are inexpensive (or even cheap), I have news for you. The current rate for dry cleaning is $ 4.19 per piece here and my other cleaners on Touhy is still at $ 2.29 per piece. If there was a difference in quality I could justify the price difference, but thus far, there has not been. I come to Kenny’s when I have a coupon, but other than that, I’m into saving money.

Constantly emails me to rate them on Unilocal.Wont stop emailing me after i click unsubscribe and i replied to the email asking them to unsubscribe. Thats a violation of FCC federal law.
So since kenny wont stop emailing me to review them, i will oblige and give them the one star they deserve for harassment and poor tech support. Warning to all: DO NOT GIVE THIS VENDOR YOUR EMAIL. THEY WILL NOT STOP SENDING YOU AN EMAIL TO RATE THEM ON Unilocal.
Or do it, if that’s the kind or email and attention you desire. I’m not you and don’t pretend to know what you like.

This place rocks!!! My son tore his jacket! I was in desperate need of getting it fixed fast
! But it happened on Sunday! Thanks to Unilocal I found this place! I called ahead and was told that the tailor could fix it! I drove over there and within 10 minutes I was out the door. Charges were 15 and boy was it worth it!!! Thank you so much for saving the day!

I have been a regular customer at this location for well over five years. I find their service at best to be hit or miss and at worst to be downright awful. They have lost numerous items and have argued with me about the fact that they have lost them only to find them later. On two different instances they lost one of my items and promised to call me if it ever turned up. Even though they did eventually turn up, I was never called and only found about them finding them by coming in and asking about it. As long as you are satisfied with their cleaning everything goes OK. But if you ever have a dispute or a complaint with anybody there, they take this really rude attitude that I think they adopt from the owner by observing how he himself interacts with customers. I’ve also had shirts with broken buttons, and yellow stains from dry cleaning solution put on my shirts. I’ve had to deal with the owner me a couple times and he’s basically told me if you don’t like it and go somewhere else. But I would keep going to this place since its very close to my home and their prices are low. I finally gave up on this place as just two weeks ago they lost a pair of my designer jeans. This is the second time they lost a pair of my jeans, and aside from going in there every now and then to see if they’ve been recovered I’ll never go back to do new business with them. There is a CD one price cleaners right next to my job and I’m going try them for a while and see how that works out. I dobut based on how they treat customers they even care, but they’ve lost my approximately $ 500 a year in dry cleaning business. Every time I go in there everybody seems so depressed I can imagine that the owner of this place is probably pretty mean to the people who work there.

Cheap — but you get what you pay for

TERRIBLE!!! They’ve lost my clothing on several occasions, they’ve given me someone else’s clothing twice and when I turned in a comforter to be cleaned it came back dirtier than before I brought it in! I complained to a manager about it and was told «Don’t come back here». This company has no sense of responsibility or customer service. I will never bring my dry cleaning here again!

Customer service is great! The inexpensive, good quality of dry cleaning is what keeps me as a return customer.

Taking your clothes to the dry cleaners is a chore you just have to do. At least going to Kenny the Kleeners is always a fun and friendly experience. The staff there is terrific! They always have enough clerks on duty so you don’t have to wait in line for more than a minute or two and if there is a customer taking up too much time, one of the managers will step in to provide customer service.
Besides being friendly and nice to deal with, Kenny does a great job on my clothes! Whether it’s my khakis that I’m too lazy to iron or my $ 600 suits, I trust Kenny to have all my garments looking, feeling and smelling great every time. I love taking my down comforters in to Kenny The Kleeners (I do it twice a year at least). They come back super fluffy and fresh — better than brand new!
The other reason to choose Kenny… their prices are GREAT!!! Probably the lowest in town! And, with a coupons I get in my mailbox all the time… It’s the simple choice.

Kenny Davis, was truly a bully: when I spoke to this man on the phone, he kept cutting me off and raised his voice. I started laughing at him, he was so unbelievably rude. He has an «F» rating from the Better Business Bureau (
). I took two sweaters to be dry cleaner and both we shrunk One was two sizes smaller. Prices have gone up too. They don’t even post their prices in the store anymore. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!

do noooottttttt go here. my boyfriend had a business trip and we needed to get some of his really nice shirts dry cleaned and this place got 1 out of 4 shirts cleaned. they ruined one of them. it was a nice red shirt that now has white splatter on the back and was in the middle of the pile and we didn’t check it before picking it up. its cheap for a reason. SAVE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT

I took 5 dresses to be dry cleaned here to save a buck as they were cheaper than other cleaners. What a big mistake! My navy blue wool dress that I always kept folded on my shelf, one of my favorites, was handed back to me on a hanger and it was about 6 in longer than it used to me. When I complained about it the girl who was helping me just said «oh, that happens all the time to my dresses». I mean, really? I told her I refused to take the dress home and that I wanted to talk to the manager. She took my name, told me he would call me shortly and almost 3 months later, not a peep from him. Of course, upon getting home and closely inspecting my other dresses, I noticed several spots where the fabric was worn, non-​existent before I dropped them off, of course. These were high quality new dresses that, although still wearable now, will never be the same and will always have to be worn with a long cardigan to hide the damage. My navy wool dress is still there! I’d avoid this place if you have any piece of clothing you do not want to have destroyed and if you are used to good customer service. it is NOT worth the bargain. It will cost you way more in the end.

There was a misunderstanding on same day service (any other day besides Sunday cut off is 12 and on Sundays 11) was never told that over the phone so I strolled In around 1145 thinking I’m ok but was informed about the Sunday times, but sure enough the great folks there still allowed me to have the same day cleaning (due to my last minute planning on my end) and got it done an hr earlier for me, guy in the front checking my clothes in had beyond great service and even went as far as saying he hopes I enjoy the wedding (which goes a long way if you ask me) use to take all my dry cleaning to cd one cleaners (which have ruined a few pieces of clothing) but you better believe Kenny’s has my business now. Highly recommended.

I dropped off few pieces of clothes for dry cleaning. I have them a blazer for dry cleaning which is part made out of leather. Unfortunately, that blazer is now ruined and they are blaming the manufacture for the design. I also paid about $ 30 for my next drop off service and when I returned to drop off two additional shirts, they charged me $ 3.18 which is fine. However, they require minimum of $ 5 for credit card purchases. When I told them that I just paid $ 30 they told me well that’s that. I asked if I can bring the $ 3.16 later when I get cash they said no and returned the two shirts to me. I feel my business is not appreciated there therefore, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Great customer service, great location, very convenient, and the price is fair.

I have been coming here for 3 or 4 years. Their hours are great and prices are good as well. Same day service is always good. Only reason i give 4 stars… They occasionally misplace my clothes and have me come back in a day or two, but other than that no problems.

Been going here for a year with dry cleaning only. This is a review on the wash and fold service which I used because I wanted to save time. I know how to do my own laundry but when you’re working so much, it’s nice to have someone you trust do your laundry. Kenny the Kleener FAILED!
My first bag was fine. I bought in for my second wash and fold and the following occurred.
It was supposed to be ready Monday night. The driver forgot it at the plant. They called and let me know it’ll be ready the next morning. The next morning, the driver once again didn’t see it. They’ll drive it over. It took them 20 minutes to get there as I waited in my car. I think I might have gotten there faster. (30 minutes spent thus far)
I go home. My dress has stains on it and my underwear that was white is now pink. I bring it back. Spent another 10 minutes talking to the guy and manager. It’ll be ready on Sunday before Labor Day. (40 minutes spent)
I then went on Sunday. It wasn’t there. It’s at another location. Please go pick it up. (60 minutes spent) Dress is better and underwear back to previous color. I wanted to talk to the manager but he is out. I was told to call the morning after.
I spent an hour and spent $ 11 for them to do my laundry. I could have done it for $ 4 and 2 hours of my time.
I’d rather not spent the time and effort making a call to let you know that you have bad service. Instead I’ll write reviews and let everyone else know how terrible your services are. Stay away!

The obvious: cheap, fast cleaners. You can drop something off at 5pm to get it at 3pm the next day. That is pretty significant, if you are in a big rush to get stuff cleaned. Overall, they do fine with the cleaning and handle tuxes along with regular clothing.
The not-​as-​obvious:
Their tailors can do alright to fix things, but they’re just not professionals. I’ve had a number of things tailored there and suffice to say I do not put Kenny’s in consideration for tailoring work going forward.
The «how the heck? Ain’t nobody got time for that»:
So sometimes Kenny’s can’t promise the super fast cleaning they are known for. I know, it’s rare. What turns out to be the reason? Apparently heat can break the boiler, or at least that’s what they told me. So if you’re in an urgent rush in hot weather, and need something pressed? Might want to call to make sure they can handle the schedule you’re requesting.
Also keep in mind that while they have two locations — the one on Chicago simply ferrets your clothes to the location on Dempster and back. So unless you need to pick up at the Chicago st location, you may as well go to Dempster because everything is done there anyway.

This review is for the Wilmette location, but all the work is centralized under one ownership. This was my «go to» cleaners for quite a while. Then when I had a problem, they didn’t stand behind it, and went so far as to say they had never had a dissatisfied customer before. I wanted an apology, a refund and an offer to make good, and was given neither. I will take my business there in the future.
Here’s the story: I had a sweater with a magnet closure. It came back without the magnet, and a hole where it had come out. I showed them, they said they would check for the magnet & repair it. When I picked it up they had glued a magnet on the outside of the sweater, did not sew up the hole where it had fallen out of, and explained that it was like that originally. They insisted it was the original magnet, and their expert tailor had returned the sweater to normal. The magnet peeled off before we got home.
