History
Established in 1941.
Starting with a humble collection of one thousand volumes, Skokie Public Library has grown over the years into one of the most well-regarded public library facilities in the Chicagoland area. Over the years, it has grown to meet the needs of the public, adding additional space for performances, computer labs, wi-fi access and (of course) more room for books.
