Best Brazilian Blowout and Keratin treatments I’ve ever gotten! Staff is all very nice. Very clean inside!

single process, keratin, eyebrow tint and trim — rosa and nina rock and I will definitely be back. I rarely give a 5 b/​c nothing is perfect although Teddy Rose comes pretty close!!!

I went for keratin treatment. I found the groupon online and call for an appointment. When I got there, those two lady was so nice. But the lady who was doing my hair was unprofessional. She washed my hair once for a min. What I did before for keratin, they washed my hair 2 to 3 times and make me felt my hair was so clean. I did not felt this way in teddy. My hair felt more dirty after they washed my hair… I mean 99 dollars wasn’t cheap, u have more choices for ur keratin. It doesn’t worth it.

I came here for a perm. I showed Rose a picture of what I wanted, which is a perm at the end of my long hair. She said they can do that for $ 100. Long story short. After my hair is done, it is no where near how I wanted, but I was very vulnerable by her sweet talks. I accepted it and some how I was charged $ 139. That was fine having them spend couple hours on my hair. The problem is the very next day my hair is pretty much wavy and straight. So I washed my hair and put tons of mousse on it like she said, but still many area are straight. Then I called Rose and she said because my hair is heavy so it pulls it down. Here I’m thinking «WTF?» This is not my first perm! I also noticed the product she used for my perm is cheap stuff.
If you’re into ladies sweet talking to you, this place is the place to be, but if you want your hair done the way you want… don’t bother.

Roza is wonderful — friendly and accommodating. She, of course, also does hair very well. The ladies who work for her are also very good.
Much more reasonable prices than the big spas and much more friendly.

This is a mixed review as I am satisfied with my hair and the color, but I left feeling like I was maniupulated and taken advantage of. I called to make an apt last minute and Rosa was able to get me in pretty quickly. I inquired about price as it was my first time there and like most people, I am on a pretty tight budget. She was unable to give me an exact price for partial highlights, and a cut due to not seeing my hair and knowing what I needed done. She quoted me 80 – 100 for the highlights and 55 for the haircut. I should have stopped there, but I was pretty desperate (as was my hair) and I wanted to get it done pretty quickly. The salon is nothing fancy, in fact it could use a lot of love, but I try not to judge on appearances. Afterall, this is an independently owned place and times are hard. I requested an angled cut with partial highlights and ended up getting barely anything cut off and a full head of highlights. I was happy with the outcome because she styled it great and took a nice amount of time working with me but it wasn’t really what I asked for. She also kept trying to sell me cheap looking extensions that were 40 per piece. Up at the front while checking out she said the total was $ 220. I was so stunned by the bill as I am used to paying in between 75 – 100 that I didn’t know what to do. I inquired about how it all added up and Rosa seemed to be nervously adding up numbers that didn’t really make sense at the end. I paid it because the work was done, but that is a lot of money to not be upfront about. I should have been more assertive about the price, but I never expected to pay that much. Rosa, you do good work, but you need some work on your ethics, especially If you want to keep clients coming back.

Loved my Keratin treatment! Rose made me feel very comfortable she is a very professional and attentive with her clients really happy with my experience at her Salon!

I went there twice, the second time wasn’t good at all. Although the color was good the keratin treatment I don’t recommend to anyone. Knowing the lower part of my hair was done with thermal reconditioning and will remain straight she was cheap on the product and just did my roots. I told her this half job and she said she didn’t want to saturate my hair too much. Such a lame excuse. When I washed my hair I realize that the middle part of my hair is still curly cause she put little product and just applied at the roots in an effort to do it cheap. Now I have to go redo and lay again to do what she should have done at first place. If you can’t do something right don’t it at all.

For the last 2 years, I’ve been searching for a place in Chicago to get a LONG LASTING Brazilian blowout or a Keratin Smoothing Treatment for my hair. My hair is thick, curly, and frizzy. I have tried numerous salons and paid upwards of $ 400 for some treatments, but none compared to the lasting effects of the Keratin Smoothing Treatment that I got at Teddy Rose. Rose and her staff are extremely accommodating and I am so excited to come back in 5 months to get another treatment! My hair has never felt healthier and shinier. Keratin complex smoothing treatment is highly recommended! 4 stars because I have only gotten the hair treatment and haven’t experienced a haircut, color, spa, nails etc.

Iv been to teddy rose a few times previously I went for a full head of highlights they also cut my hair and did my eyebrows for 100 or 120 I tipped her 35 and was very satisfied… needing for go back after my roots have grown out I make an appointment this time doing an ombré bialage she trimmed my hair. I didn’t even want a trim… got charged $ 55 for that… tinted my eyebrows and threaded them total bill amounting to 244!!! I have never heard of something so ridiculous in my life. They couldn’t even add up the numbers of each thing they charged me for. I told them last time I played way less I understood it was going to be a bit more but not 144 dollars more! Finally rose came over and dropped the bill to 200 bc they couldn’t even tell me what they charged me for…$ 48 a deep condition treatment I didn’t ask for? That being said my hair did look nice but not for that price that’s not a way to keep your customers happy or coming back… Never again! I can go to tricocci for that price and I will. Your a small salon not a brand name company that can be charging outrageous prices… Especially when i know your not using top of the line products either. I will take my business else where sorry teddy rose. if you want the prices to change on you and your okay with them not being able to tell you what they exactly charged you for by all means this place is for you… thought you guys would be a nice spot I was fooled. Never again!

I have been going to Teddy Rose for years for blow dry’s. I love it here. They are open 7 days a week, and I have never been turned down for an appointment, even when I call «last minute». The owner, Rosa, is extremely accommodating and very friendly, as is all of her staff. Blow dry’s are EXCELLENT. I am not one who likes to sit around all day at the salon, and I am in and out of here sometimes in as little as 15 minutes with GREAT looking hair that lasts a long time. Everyone who works here has done a great job on my hair. Highly recommend!

Been going here for over 10 years and it’s the best for color and haircuts!

I was a customer at this salon for many years. Carol, Dee and Rita are the nicest employee’s there. Recently, Rita who was the most fantastic manicurist and eyebrow lady there; left the salon! Rosa, the owner told me that «Rita» was on vacation… What a bad lie! I was bummed and in search of finding her! I did. She is now working at Mikel’s Salon in skokie. I went there and found a beautiful salon and with the best staff around. What a fantastic change!!!

Don’t go there unless you want to be disappointed with your hair. I asked to get one inch off, and she cut off two-​three inches. It was not what I asked for, and her response for it was oh well, it will grow out. Go somewhere else! You’ll be a lot happier!

I went here for many years and the owner Rose told that Goldwell brand hair color was being used in my hair. I found out through a former employee that it was Wella Brand, which was too harsh. Then she suggested extensions would help my hair grow, which was another lie. After 2 years of my hair being done at Teddy Rose my hair was so damaged that I had to cut it all off. It’s been years now and my hair is finally recovering.

Disappointed. Came here for a very special occasion updo. Rosa the owner did my hair and I wasn’t happy. I showed a picture of what I wanted and she did what she wanted. Tried to get it to work but I just wasn’t feeling it even though she tried very hard to convince me that it was elegant Not to mention she used Bobby pins that were not good and were falling out of my hair around midday. Let’s just say by the end of the night my hair had completely come undone. Not good. Also, she is notorious for making people wait, even if you do have an appointment.

I have been coming here since high school ever since I decided to mess up my hair by dying it every color in the book! My mom found the place and they are AMAZING. I have brought friends here and they now too are regulars. Rose (the owner) does a great job and if your unsure what you want done she has an eye for that. Stop by and see for yourself and be amazed.

I purchased the Groupon for a mani-​pedi back in October. My friend also did and so I called to make us both an appointment to get them done. When I called the salon the lady who answered transferred me to Daniel who is the nail pro. He confirmed us for an appointment the following week.
The day of the appoinment he called me from his cell phone and asked if we could move our appointment back to 6, I told him no but 6:30 could work. When I realized it wouldn’t work I called him back, left a voicemail and he never responded. When we went to the salon we didn’t know if he would be there or not. We got there and he was there with another lady (the pedicurist) who determined it was to late to go through with the pedicures and ran out.
Daniel «forgot» there was two of us and was visibly upset he had to perform two pedicures and two manicures at 7pm. Even though he confirmed the appointment himself. He asked if we could come back for our pedicures at a later date which I okayed because it would take awhile.
It should be noted that he did a fabulous job on our nails. I am on my third week of a UV gel set and they are still shiny and almost perfect.
Daniel asked if I could text him when we we’re ready for our next appointment and we texted back and forth trying to determine a time. Finally I asked if Monday at 6:30pm worked and he NEVER responded.
Well Monday rolls around and at 6:50pm he calls me wondering where I am.
If you want to get your nails done by a not organized and not professional person but a very good nail artist he’s your guy. But after I finally get a hold of him to finish my Groupon, I won’t be going back.

It is difficult to find a hair stylist and colorist that get’s you, and for the right price. The staff is friendly, but more so to their regular clients. The salon was not clean by any means, i was there for two hours and the floor was not swept at all.
I am a huge fan of small boutique salons, but this clearly was not what I was looking for. The place was very laid back, and very unprofessional. I went in for highlights and ended up getting my hair dyed as well. I’m not too picky with my hair, I was just looking for a quick pick me up. Frankly I don’t see the difference in my base color, but the highlights turned out well (that’s why I gave them the extra star — I don’t hate my hair) But I can’t get over how terrible the service was. You are not going to feel pampered at all (and for over $ 200 I expected a little more) You do have to wait a lot for someone to scramble to help you. There were times I wondered if they remembered I was in the other room…
I know I overpaid, and I won’t be going back to this salon.

I wish Unilocal allowed you to differentiate your rating based upon the type of service. I’ve not had my hair done here, but I have been there many times for threading. I agree that the owner, Rosa, is not the best with her staff… Perhaps she would benefit from watching a few episodes of «Tabitha’s Salon Takeover» to see how to be more professional. I also agree that they are very catering to their regulars, which is great for the regulars, but is not going to earn you many more.
For threading, I would go there on a regular basis if I still lived in the Northern burbs, and I’d ask for Rita. She’s GREAT and so cute and friendly. I’ve also had Shema do my brows and was very happy, but I do have a loyalty to Rita.
