Vogue Lighting

A few months ago, I had wonderful customer service as I was looking for a very small ceiling fan. That was ordered along with two other fixtures. They came in quickly and I was extremely satisfied.
This week the bulbs burned out and I couldn’t figure out how open the fixtures, or what type of bulbs were required. I called and they were able to find the find the information by my phone number (I did not keep the receipt) and got the information to me very quickly!

I purchased 3 beautiful pendant lights from Matt and Marilyn and they were extremely helpful and knowledgable. My electrician didn’t install them quite right but Matt helped fix them for me. And I was not satisfied with my first order so he ordered additional for me to compare. Excellent service. That’s why I love shopping local!

Great place for lighting fixtures. The staff is marvelous. Very easy to work with them. Nice selection of fixtures. Highly recommend Vogue Lighting. And nice to be able to shop in my town.

Out of date fixtures, but quite a selection.

I’m so disappointed in this local business. I picked up a brass floor lamp at an estate sale, and took it directly into Vogue Lighting to have it all spruced up for my home. There were at least three issues that I described wanting to have fixed.
When I went to pick up the lamp, only one had been taken care of –and barely. My 14 year old could have done better, and certainly with more pride.
They didn’t even bother to dust out or clean the bulb cover. I expressed my disappointment and the gentleman shrugged his shoulders and walked away. For this, I was charged $ 40.00. He didn’t even offer to help me to the car, much less open the door as I carried the big lamp out on my own.
I moved here from the city where I had all my «go to» places, places that exhibit pride in workmanship and character. I very much want to support local businesses, but, frankly I am beginning to understand why there are so many empty storefronts, in Skokie. I won’t even get into the mess another Skokie business made out of a coat I had tailored. UGH!
I will be trecking back to the city for the sort of workmanship I am used to. Too. Bad.

I was treated with respect, shown fixtures in my price range (which included quite a selection), and thoroughly enjoyed working with Vogue Lighting’s staff. Wish every retail establishment was such a pleasure!

If there were negative stars, that would be mine.
I ordered about 1700 dollars of stuff. They suggested their installer and they did a good installation except that it took a tall person to notice that one of the glass «things» on the dining room fixture was cracked. They ordered me a replacement one and told me to pay for it or bring in the broken one. I am not handy and it would require that I hire a handyman to do this work. I got them, bless their little hearts, to give me the replacement one and guess what… it was the wrong size. So the person looking up my order did not take the time to see the size needed from my purchase.
Then within a year the bulb over the kitchen fixture burned out. I came to the store to pick up the other issue I just spoke of and i got a new bulb. It did not work. They know who I am and they will recognize the content and they are getting a written letter from me on this. Most of the reviews here are negative for this establishment. A shady business per Yosef? Thanks.

I’m having an awful service experience with Vogue Lighting. After 6 weeks, I’m still waiting for a shade that was done wrong the 1^st time even though I had brought the old one. Be sure not to pay for anything in advance as I did for this– you might never see it. I have to call each week to check on it– they don’t bother following back.

We just bought a home built in 1925. We wanted to replace a lighting fixture to be more time period appropriate for the home. The big chain stores didn’t have exactly the crystal type ceiling fixture we were picturing… so after googling the closet lighting store we went to Vogue. I do admit that no one greets you when you walk in… it did feel awkward. However, after a few minutes Ron came over and helped us out. Some fixtures are pretty pricey… but, many are quite reasonable. When we narrowed down to one light, he went to see if they had it in stock. They did not… but, he offered us a discount on the display! Deal! We were very happy with our fixture. When we got home we looked the light up online and we totally scored on the price. We feel good about our purchase and would definitely go back.

The one «remodel» that I did with my place requires me to purchase new lighting. My mom suggested that I try Vogue up in skokie. They have a plethora of lighting and very fair prices. They know their lights and are willing to work within your budget. I will be back here again in a heartbeat once I get a new place that requires more TLC.
