Hungry Bear Deli, Bakery & Café

I drive by this place all the time, decided to give it a try. I was impressed!!! My sandwich was awesome. I have been told the meatball parmigiana is a must, I can’t wait to try it next time. I have to give a shout out to Megan at the front counter, she was friendly, helpful and a good sense of humor. Other business could learn a thing or two about good customer service from the Hungry Bear Deli. We need more places like this up on the mountain!

If you’re visiting Lake Arrowhead, Hungry Bear Deli & Café is the spot to eat. Their menu has a verity from traditional sandwiches to BBQ & more.
The food quality is 10 of 10 very fresh and very tasty. The food services is awesome as well. We were taken care of by Megan, she was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. When you come ask for her.
The food I recommend is the pull pork sandwich. It comes with a nice big size sandwich with aside of your choice.
The prices are not cheap for a sandwich but worth every penny.

This place is awesome. The workers/​owners really care about you as a customer. Been here several times just haven’t stopped to write a review yet. Last two times I went in there they have gone above and beyond for me and the patrons with me. I took an order to go and forgot my wife wanted chips. The owner threw them in for free. Then the last time we dined in and soup of the day was French onion. My wife was curios and decided she wanted some. Sorry we ran out. The owner went back looked at the pot and said
«Ya know what I have enough to give you a taste»
Turned out to be at least a cup and he gave it to us. It was so good and flavorful. Also the sandwiches are always good and stuffed with yummy fresh ingredients. I’ve never been disappointed here and plan on taking my parents here soon. Keep up the good work you guys are awesome!

I tried this place for the first time and was quite impressed! The staff was very nice and the owner was pretty cool too. He was super funny and it was clear he wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience there, which we did.
The chef had a new veggie sandwich on the menu so my friend and I decided to give it a try. It was delicious. The bread was fresh and all the veggies were cooked just right. I’m a huge fan of milk shakes and though I didn’t order one, I had a small portion from my friend’s kid. It was really good! I didn’t try anything there that I didn’t like.
I went back the following week and took my daughter. She is super picky and almost impossible to take anywhere to eat. She loved their Mac&Cheese (fresh not box) and garlic bread. I ordered the eggplant, also very yummy!
Good restaurants are hard to come by on the mountain. I’m very happy to have found this little gem.
