Alright you guys. I am going to out myself here. I’m a big ‘fraidy cat. I am scared of lots of things like snakes and mice and creepy crawly things. Eek! Ok? Freaking eek! I am ESPECIALLY afraid of things that are unexpected. Like people who jump out and say BOO when I don’t expect it. I’m not proud of it, but I have punched people right in their face who have done that to me. Then I run. Lol. I get somewhat brave during the month of October and try to visit haunted houses. I run and scream and have almost punched people who work at these places. I should have learned my lesson by now, but I always try to go to the Haunted Spook Trail hosted by the Slidell Elks Club each year. It’s pretty scary, but not disturbingly so, so it’s something that preteens can enjoy without needing therapy later for it. There are«haunted tents» situated outside in a wooded area and the relief leaving one tent and then the anticipation approaching the next one sets the spooky mood for sure. I think it’s a great haunted house for chickens like me. At the end of the trail they give out candy to the kids and sell food and drinks as well. It’s a great spooky(tame) thing to do in October with your family in Slidell.
