Not for nothing but the people that run this place are not friendly. I also believe they do not do proper maintenance on their machines as the ice cream tasted a little funny

Attempted to give this establishment a second chance and our second visit was worse than the first. The adult woman, presumably the owner, that works there was super rude. They have«dog ice cream» listed on the menu but it’s actually just soft serve ice cream with a dog biscuit in it. When I politely asked her to switch the red dog biscuit to a non colored one due to my dog having a severe allergy to food coloring and also has cancer, she loudly made a snide remark to her staff about it «get a load of this» and essentially tossed the replacement to me. In addition to this, she was not family friendly. The whole experience was negative. Will never return.

It’s unfortunate that the ice cream is so good because I will not be returning to Ross’. The owner is extremely rude and the prices are much higher than other local stands.

This place is a hoot. Very retro look and they have that old school summery snack bar smell. They serve burgers, fries, fried fish, ice cream, milkshakes, and all sorts of snacks. I remember seeing places like this when I was a kid downstate but they seem to have disappeared for the most part. There are lots of places to sit out back and for people with kids there’s tons of stuff for the little ones to do, like jump on the swings, or play a bit of basketball. There’s even a big back yard for them to run off all that sugar. Everyone had a blast. Five stars for me.

If this is the«best of the seasonal places» as another Unilocaler suggested, we are all in deep doo doo. Overpriced. Poor flavor selection. Ice cream that has melted and refrozen so that it is grainy and has ice crystals in it. I did not try the food, and, based on what I saw I won’t. The onion rings were the heavy coated kind when when you bite into them it is just a lot of dough and the entire onion can slip right out. I like the kind that are flaky and crispy — not an onion-donut.

Came for ice cream with friends and miraculously had no line. I got the Pillsbury cake flavor and it was absolutely delicious. Real pieces of homemade fluffy cake in really good vanilla ice cream. Everyone loved what they got. There is plentiful seating at picnic tables behind the stand plus benches out front, and a playground in the back too. I might head back pretty soon to try a cheesesteak or some fried seafood since the ice cream was so good.

Best of the seasonal places in the area! Really, no snark whatsoever. A fine almost archetypical go-to when driving around aimlessly in the dusk light. We shared a scallop roll last night, juicy and deep-fried in clean oil. The excellent fries are home-made. The strawberry sundae made by the very harried counterwoman looked almost biologically terrifying but tasted great. The grounds feature a small playground for the spawn, too.

I don’t know what this other dude bro’s problem is, but Ross’s is excellent! Tasty summer-stand food, good ice cream, and friendly staff. Our Volkswagen/Audi group( ) went there last year for weekly meets, and we’re on our way there again tonight. WIN!

1. Ice cream flavors: obscure flavors, limited selection, hard to read from the menu. 2. Employees that I dealt with were confused and unfriendly. I think one was even the owner. 3. Initially overcharged($ 11 for two small cones); employee adjusted to $ 5.60 and told me that she ‘undercharged me now but didn’t feel like fixing the register’ and that I should expect it to be more expensive next time 4. Ice cream wasn’t even that good, esp. for the price. 5. Although the landscape is large and has a gazebo, it doesn’t make up for the terrible customer service.
