Our eastern North Carolina attorneys focus on a variety of practice areas. L. Lamar Armstrong, Jr. handles business litigation and personal injury cases; his wife Marcia H. Armstrong provides family law services, including divorce, premarital agreements and property settlement agreements; their son L. Lamar Armstrong III is primarily a personal injury lawyer. He used to represent insurance companies, and now he uses that experience to help personal injury victims receive the full compensation they deserve after catastrophic accidents.

Established in 1983.

The Armstrong Law Firm, P.A. is located in small-​town Smithfield. For over 30 years, husband-​and-​wife partners Marcia H. Armstrong and L. Lamar Armstrong, Jr. have earned respect throughout eastern North Carolina as passionate and skilled litigators. Both are named to Super Lawyers®, which also named Marcia one of the Top 50 women lawyers in the state.

Lamar graduated with Phi Beta Kappa distinction from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (UNC-​CH) in December of 1977, completing his undergraduate degree in Political Science in three and a half years. Lamar graduated from the UNC-​CH School of Law in 1981, and began the practice of law in Smithfield.
